Phone (3) 's teaser hints the lights might go out on Nothing's most iconic feature
Nothing Phone (2). | Image credit – PhoneArena Nothing is getting ready to drop the Phone (3) this July and just like always, Carl Pei and his team are building up the hype with cryptic teasers. The latest one, though, feels pretty major – Nothing just suggested that the Glyph Interface might be dead. Yep, you read that right. The company posted a vague message hinting that it is killing off the Glyph Interface – that signature lighting system on the back of Nothing phones that has basically become the brand's identity. It is how users have been getting visual alerts for calls, messages and other notifications, complete with customizable patterns and even custom ringtones. But now? It looks like it's being scrapped. So what is coming instead? That is still under wraps, but my guess is that Nothing is either going for a more minimal design (which, let's be honest, feels less exciting) or cooking up something completely new to keep the Phone (3) feeling unique. Either way, change is coming – and with Nothing aiming higher this time, it's not totally surprising. The Phone (3) is expected to be Nothing's first true flagship. Reports suggest it will come with a top-tier Snapdragon chip, most likely Snapdragon 8 Elite. That alone puts it in a new league.The camera setup is also getting a serious upgrade. Word is we will see a new main sensor and maybe even a larger periscope telephoto lens for better zoom. And on top of that, the battery's apparently getting a size bump – rumored to be north of 5,000mAh – though Nothing hasn't revealed the final number yet.
But of course, all that new hardware means a higher price tag. Carl Pei has already confirmed the Phone (3) will cost more than before. Expect it to land around £800 in the UK, which probably means about $800 in the US. That is a decent jump from the Phone (2), which started at £580 / $600. So yeah, Nothing is clearly targeting the same space as the iPhone 16 and Galaxy S25 now.
And maybe that is part of why the Glyph Interface is going away – if you are trying to appeal to a more mainstream, flagship-level crowd, a flashy light-up back might not be part of the vision anymore. Still, if it really is gone for good, it is definitely going to be missed.

Google says the Pixel Penthouse is "this year's exclusive pre-launch event," hinting at an earlier-than-expected launch of the Pixel 10 series, possibly by the end of July. Deals: Realme GT 7 and 7T launch, Xperia 1 VII on pre-order, Galaxy S25 Edge arrives
Several new releases are clamoring for your attention – some come with solid discounts, others not so much. Here's a closer look at the new offerings. The Realme GT 7 is equipped with a Dimensity 9400e – despite the name, this is closer to the 9300 than it is to the 9400. As we note in our review, the chip is fast, but sustained performance is an issue. Still, you get a lot of hardware for the price. This includes a 6.78' LTPO OLED (120Hz, 1264p+, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 6,000 nits peak brightness) and a 7,000mAh battery with 120W charging and battery bypass. Battery life is quite awesome! The triple camera on the back includes a 50MP main, a 50MP 2x telephoto and an unremarkable 8MP ultra-wide. The phone is rated IP69. It comes with Android 15 out of the box and will receive 4 OS updates and two extra years of security patches. The Realme GT 7T is €100 less, but you give up quite a bit. Not the IP69 rating and not the 7,000mAh battery either (complete with 120W charging and battery bypass). That said, the 6.8' display is a non-LTPO panel (it still reaches 6,000 nits peak, though). Also, the chipset is knocked down to a Dimensity 8400 Max – quite fast, but doesn't challenge flagship chips the way that the 9400e does. The 50MP 2x camera is gone too. Their predecessors are still around – the Realme GT 6 gets you that LTPO panel that the 7T doesn't and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 holds up decently against the Dimensity 8400. This model also has a 50MP main, 50MP 2x tele and 8MP ultra-wide. The battery is smaller – not that 5,500mAh is small (charging is the same at 120W). And the water resistance is only IP64. The 6.78' LTPO panel (same as the GT) is nice and the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 gets close to the 8s Gen 3. However, we'd rather spend €50 extra and get the higher performance chip and the tele camera (which is missing from the 6T). You can get a €50 discount on the 512GB model if you are a Prime Student member, but it's not the same. The Sony Xperia 1 VII launches next week. The phone brings some notable upgrades, but some things (like the telephoto camera) still need work. The longer software support window is nice – 4 OS updates and 2 extra years of security patches. Still, Holy Moly, Batman, what was Sony thinking with that price? Yes, you get a free pair of Sony WH-1000XM5, which are pretty great over-ear headphones, but the new XM6 are even better. The Honor 400 and 400 Pro launched last week. The Pro model is powered by last year's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and boasts a 200MP camera (1/1.4', OIS) in addition to a 50MP 3x telephoto and 12MP ultra-wide. The phone is rated IP69 and has a 6.7' 120Hz OLED display. The battery for Europe is only 5,300mAh ('only' because other regions get 6,000mAh) and it supports fast wired (100W) and wireless (50W) charging. The vanilla Honor 400 drops down to a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and an IP65 rating. It also has a slightly smaller 6.55' 120Hz OLED display, but the battery has the same capacity (5,300mAh for Europe) except now with 66W wired-only charging. There's also a 50MP main (1/1.57', OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and a 5,000mAh battery with 50W charging. Its IP64 rating is on the low side for water resistance. Nothing is planning to deliver only 3 OS updates, but the phone will continue receiving security patches for a total of 6 years. About a month ago, Sony raised the prices of the PlayStation 5 in Europe and several other regions. Then Microsoft and Nintendo announced price hikes for their consoles too. Invitation from Google hints at earlier than expected Pixel 10 release
Google used to release the latest Pixel models each October but this became a problem. With Apple launching its newest iPhone handsets each September, those looking for a new phone and blessed with having money in their pockets wouldn't feel like waiting for the new Pixel. They would see that there was a new iPhone available and would buy it. So Google decided to release last year's Pixel 9 series in August leapfrogging the release of the iPhone 16 series. Now, Google appears to be looking to move up the release of the Pixel 10 to late June or early July. Some Pixel Superfans have received an invitation to Pixel Penthouse. Google says that this is 2025's exclusive pre-launch event and that it will be attended by 25 "lucky" Superfans who will be allowed to get handsy with pre-release Pixel devices while also checking out new features. They will also receive what Google calls "Pixel-themed goodies." 25 lucky Pixel Superfans will get to go hands-on with new Pixel handsets and features late next month. | Image credit-Android Authority The event is taking place in London on June 27th and it will run for 90 minutes. The Superfans will also have the opportunity to sit in on a Q&A session with real-life Googlers. To add some credence to the idea that Google will unveil and release the Pixel 10 earlier this year, Android 16 is expected to be released in early June which makes it quite likely that we will see the Pixel 10 hit the market in late June, or early July. The Pixel 10 series will be powered by the Tensor G5 which will be the first Tensor application processor (AP) made by TSMC instead of Samsung Foundry. It was also designed from scratch by Google getting rid of the Exynos base that all previous Tensor APs used. This should allow Google to design some exclusive features into the Tensor G5 which will be built by TSMC on its second-generation 3nm node (N3E).
