Making a living
: Before her job at Endicott, Park was a full-time artist. Teaching 'gives you more freedom,' she said. 'Before that, I had to make 50 mugs to have the money to buy another bag of clay.'

How she started
: Growing up, Park said, 'I was always around creative people.' Her mother, Choong-gi Lee, is a professional violinist, and the sculptor played violin as a child. 'We went to music camp with her peers, and all I did was draw people,' she said.

What she makes
: Park called her artwork 'another language.' When she first arrived in the US, her English was not good, she recalled. She worked out her frustrations in clay. 'I survived because I have another way of speaking,' she said.
How she works
: She hand-builds smaller works from a slab of clay and larger works from layered coils, creating a hollow vessel that she shapes from inside and out, pinching the clay. 'I don't really have much fingerprints anymore,' she joked. After a sculpture dries, she transports it to Endicott to fire.
Advice for artists
: 'Trust your process,' Park said. 'It will take time.'

TikTok Star Khaby Lame Detained By ICE — But Why?
TikTok star Khaby Lame has taken over the internet over the last few years due to his signature reaction memes and GIFs. His recent issues at a Las Vegas airport were no laughing matter, however, as he was detained by ICE. Complex reported via the federal law enforcement agency that Lame voluntarily left the United States after being detained at a Las Vegas airport. Reportedly, the 25-year-old personality was in the United States on an expired visa; he was born in Senegal but is a citizen of Italy. 'U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Seringe Khabane Lame, 25, a citizen of Italy, June 6, at the Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada for immigration violations,' ICE wrote in a statement to Complex. 'Lame entered the United States April 30 and overstayed the terms of his visa. Lame was granted voluntary departure June 6 and has since departed the U.S.' Khaby Lame, born Seringe Khabane Lame, has yet to comment publicly on the arrest and having to leave the United States. He had a great last few years between attending The Met Gala last month and announcing his film debut with a star role in an international spy comedy 00Khaby. 'Acting has always been my dream, but I don't want to improvise,' he told Variety. 'This is why I am ready to delve deeper into my acting and English studies to perform at my best in this film.' He also committed to intense physical training because he did not want to be replaced by a stuntman. In September 2022, he revealed that he made $750,000 per social media post.
