SINSHEIM : Champions Bayern Munich crushed hosts Hoffenheim 4-0 in the Bundesliga finale today as record-breaking Harry Kane was crowned the league's top striker for a second straight season.
Bayern had already secured the title two weeks ago but were ready to finish their title-winning season in style when Michael Olise whipped in a fierce freekick for a 33rd minute lead.
He then turned provider, feeding Joshua Kimmich to power in their second goal eight minutes after the restart.
Kane was initially on the bench but hit the post in the second half before providing Serge Gnabry with an assist for Bayern's third goal.
The England captain, who won the first major title of his career with the Bundesliga trophy this season, did find the target in the 86th minute, slotting in from close range for his 26th league goal of the season.
He became the first player in Bundesliga history to be crowned top scorer in both his first two seasons.

Sane ‘in negotiations' with Galatasaray
GALATASARAY announced on Wednesday they had started talks with Bayern Munich attacker Leroy Sane with his contract at the German champions up at the end of the season. Sane joined Bayern in 2020 from Manchester City and is set to arrive in Turkey by Thursday for a medical. The 29-year-old German scored 11 goals for the Bavarians this season. Neuer: Bayern happy to be at Club World Cup while others miss out
ORLANDO: Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is happy to be at the new-look Club World Cup and said only time will tell whether the event will be a success, German Press Agency (dpa) reported. The football tournament has been expanded from seven to 32 teams and has a prize money of around US$1 billion (RM4.2 billion). Critics say it adds to an already saturated match calendar and raises player burnout fears. Bayern, who arrived on Tuesday at their base camp in Florida, and Borussia Dortmund are Germany's representatives at the June 14 to July 13 event in the United States. But with European countries limited to two teams per country, and with qualifying based on past results, there are also prominent absentees such as English champions Liverpool and Spanish double winners Barcelona. "I believe it is something special to be part of it. There are teams which are not part of it. It hurts them.
