Kim Soo Hyun's loses luxury apartment as he fails to pay penalty fee, a day after winning court order to seize Kim Se Ui's properties
Kim Soo Hyun has reportedly lost one of his three luxury apartments after failing to pay the penalty fee to an advertiser identified as Classys. The move came just a day after his agency, Gold Medalist, secured a court order to seize YouTuber Kim Se Ui's two apartments located in Seocho-dong's Byuksan Blooming Complex and Hanyang 4th Complex. The total claim, worth 4 billion won ($2.9 million), was aimed at covering damages caused by Garos Sero's allegations about Soo Hyun's alleged inappropriate relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron, claims that led to him losing brand deals and having multiple K-drama projects put on hold.

Kim Soo Hyun loses luxury apartment
On June 12, K-media outlet Maeil Kyungje reported a statement from Kim Soo Hyun's legal counsel confirming that renowned cosmetics and skincare company Classys had seized one of his apartments. The Queen of Tears star had purchased three apartments at the Galleria Forêt complex back in 2013 and 2014. Classys filed a lawsuit demanding ₩3.00 billion KRW (about $2.19 million USD) in penalties after cutting ties with the actor following the Kim Sae Ron controversy. Reportedly, two more advertisers are expected to follow with similar legal moves.
While his one-man agency likely has little say in the matter, his legal team has called the seizure unjustified. Labelling Soo Hyun as a victim of Garos Sero, who himself is on the verge of facing police summons in connection with another reopened case involving YouTuber Tzuyang, the counsel admitted that while the advertisers who signed the actor may be suffering financially, the real blame should fall on Kim Se Ui. Classys reportedly filed the case on May 8, and Seoul Eastern Court approved the seizure order on May 20.

On June 12, Kim's legal team, LKB & Partners, confirmed that they are moving forward with two more seizure orders currently in process. The firm also stated that Kim is directly listed as a creditor in the 'provisional seizure of Garo Sero Institute Co., Ltd.'s corporate sponsorship bank account,' according to Koreaboo. This makes him a direct participant in the whistleblower case, where the accused is facing multiple charges, defamation, privacy breach, stalking, and spreading malicious claims backed by fabricated evidence. When pressed by media on why Kim was listed as a creditor for the real estate seizure, the firm explained that, as part of the process, Kim would have to submit his personal information to the registration office. Being a public figure, he chose not to, and instead opted to participate solely in the seizure of the bank account.
