Beyoncé's global impact felt at London shows: 'I've moved to England because of Beyoncé'
Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" tour is keeping the momentum going in London, with fans from all over the world continuing to flock to the city to witness the international spectacle.
The Grammy-winning singer kicked off her June 14 show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday. The show marked her fifth of six shows at the stadium on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. Her last show in London is set for June 16, before she heads to Paris for three nights.
And while the first U.K. show debuted over a week ago on June 5, fans continue to travel from across the globe, keeping the excitement alive for each show.
'I've moved to England because of Beyoncé'
"I've moved to England because of Beyoncé. That was about 15 years ago," says Patrycja Lesiakowska, who attended multiple shows in London along with her best friend from London, Chichi Mbagwu.
Lesiakowska says she became a huge fan back when Beyoncé released her 2006 album "B-Day," and she would go on to listen to that album and all the ones that followed on repeat.
"I realized that she never came to Poland, and I needed to see Beyoncé live. I needed to witness it. I had a brother that lived in England. So I took my opportunity to move to England to see Beyoncé during 'Sasha Fierce.' And I signed myself up for college, went to university and stayed in England because I loved it," she says. "And I've seen Beyoncé ever since. But the best thing about it, I've also learned English because of Beyoncé."
She says she used Google translate to understand her song lyrics and her interviews when she was 15 years old and would eventually learn the language.
'She taught me English'
"So she taught me English. She changed my life. I'm here. I met my best friend. I got a career I wanted," Lesiakowska says. "I live in an amazing country and I have the opportunity to see Beyoncé all the time. But we actually follow her all over the world."
Mbagwu and and Lesiakowska met through Beyoncé nearly 15 years ago when they both attended a House of Deréon launch in London and have remained friends since. They've attended her shows together over the years and plan to return to the stadium for her final London concert — their 52nd show together.
"I feel honored that I'm able to witness it. I think it's such a huge moment and a huge movement," Mbagwu says.
And while "Cowboy Carter" is rich with American history, the impact is profound all over the world.
"I think it personally resonates a lot because I think there's been a lot of erasure of Black people," Mbagwu says. "A lot of culture comes from Black people, and I think that's kind of lost down the line in terms of, you know, appropriation. The artistry, the message behind the songs and the way she of invokes her art — it's artwork. Genuinely 'Cowboy Carter' is artwork."
'Attending Beyoncé's tour in London felt significant'
Other fans traveled from Australia, Italy, the U.S. and everywhere in between. And it's clear no matter what pocket of the world, Beyoncé's impact and messages have not only been heard but felt.
"London is a city that carries such a vibrant energy," says Brendan Thomas, who traveled from West Yorkshire, England, for the show. "It's a cultural melting pot where art, music and people collide in the most inspiring ways. Attending Beyoncé's tour in London felt significant because it's one of those cities where the audience truly matches her energy."
He added: "The album feels deeply personal and unapologetic like Beyoncé inviting us into her world while reminding us of our own power. It resonates because it's not just music. It's a statement of freedom, resilience and joy."
As fans know, Beyoncé first debuted her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. Her tour has been filled with family, fashion, different music genres, and most notably country music and cultural commentary. The June 14 show was no different as she debuted more looks and delivered another high-energy show.
The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26.

Eve Is 11 Years Into Love, Luxury, & Looking Unbothered
Source: Dave Benett / Getty Eve is the blueprint for Black girl evolution. And this week, she reminded us how fly life can be when you choose joy, peace, and a little bit of luxury. The Philly-bred rapper, actress, and style icon is celebrating 11 years of marriage to her husband, British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper. And if 'glowing in grace' had a face, it would be Eve's. In other words, Eve is the epitome of soft girl life. RELATED: Eve Is Giving 'Who's That Girl' Vibes In Her Latest Instagram Post She took to social media on June 14, sharing a stunning black-and-white wedding portrait of her and her husband. The elegant photo lovingly displays a union that some once doubted. Maximillion shared a post recognizing their anniversary as well. Eve has opened up about the skepticism she faced for marrying across racial lines, becoming a bonus mom to multiple stepkids, and packing up her American roots to start over across the pond. As recently as 2024, a picture of Eve and her family went viral during the holidays. But Eve remains unbothered and in her bag. In an interview about her memoir, Who's That Girl , she recently said that she is in her 'soft life era.' And in a previous conversation with Essence , she shared that being with her husband, she had to 'learn to be happy' and urged women to find happiness. Sis is flourishing – and we love to see it. Lately, fans have seen more of the femcee in the public eye. Last fall, she also served as a guest lecturer at NYU. She dropped her memoir, and the mommy-preneur continues to share sweet moments with her son Wilde Wolf on Instagram. In May, she joined Nelly on a global tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of his debut album, Country Grammar . She also popped up with none other than Usher during a London stop on his tour, rocking a silver leotard and reminding everyone exactly why she is still that girl. With each appearance, her hair, beauty, and fashion remain unmatched. No one can rock a 40-inch blonde like Eve. Her body is tea, and her skin is giving the fountain of youth. A Philly girl at heart, the 'Love Is Blind' rapper remains edgy and elevated in her lewks. One thing Eve is going to do is put that ish on! In an industry that often demands a lot from stars – especially Black women – Eve stands out. Happy 11th wedding anniversary to the queen who taught us how to live loud and live well. Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty On June 12, during her fourth night of the Cowboy Carter tour at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Beyoncé pressed pause to wish her twins, Rumi and Sir, a happy 8th birthday. The moment was so adorable and heartwarming. As the crowd roared, Queen Bey – glowing as usual – turned toward the audience and said, 'Everybody say happy birthday, Rumi!' The moment has gone viral, shared on fan accounts across social media. Rumi has joined Beyoncé for select performances, especially during the show's emotional and highly anticipated 'Protector' segment. It's in that moment that fans wait to see if Rumi and Blue Ivy will appear. The Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit tour is not just about the music and fashion slays anymore. Happy Birthday to Rumi and Sir! SEE ALSO Mama Beyoncé Pauses Her Cowboy Carter Tour To Wish Rumi & Sir Carter 'Happy Birthday' was originally published on Black America Web Featured Video CLOSE

Jay-Z's Wallet Takes An L After Betting $1 Million On The Pacers
Source: Tim Mosenfelder / Getty Jay-Z's playoff gamble just took a hit after the Indiana Pacers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, putting the Pacers up 2-1 in the series. The Thunder's loss didn't just hurt their title hopes; it cost Jay a $1 million bet. Before the Finals started, Jay placed a $1 million wager through Fanatics Sportsbook that the Thunder would take down the Pacers in just five games. That prediction is now impossible, with Indiana already winning two games. As a result, Jay's bet is officially a loss. If things had gone his way, the Roc Nation founder would've walked away with over $3 million. But while the loss stings, it's not exactly devastating. Jay is a partner in Fanatics Sportsbook, and he's close friends with its founder, Michael Rubin. The two have worked together on several business deals, including the REFORM Alliance, a criminal justice reform group they launched with other big names. Hov is no stranger to high-stakes gambling either. He's known for throwing invite-only blackjack tournaments, often tied to raising money for REFORM. So while this particular bet didn't go his way, it's more of a blip than a major blow. The Finals are still far from over, and while the Thunder have some work to do, don't expect Jay to stop betting big anytime soon. In other news, Jay-Z and his wife Beyoncé turned their London concert into a family celebration by giving their twins, Rumi and Sir Carter, a special birthday moment. During night four of the Cowboy Carter tour at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 12, which happened to be the twins' 8th birthday, Beyoncé paused the show to shine the spotlight on her youngest kids. Even in the middle of a massive world tour, Beyoncé made sure her kids felt the love, from her and Jay for one night.
