Mercedes-AMG G 63 'Collector's Edition' is scheduled to arrive in India on June 12, 2024. Interestingly, the new Collector's Edition has been specially designed for India. Mercedes-Benz India has shared that the AMG G 63 'Collector's Edition' was developed jointly by the team of Mercedes-Benz India and the team Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India.
The teaser images revealed by the automaker suggest a shiny exterior paintwork for the legendary SUV, a bright orange paint color to be precise. Apart from this, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 'Collector's Edition has a new alloy wheel design as well. On the other hand, the overall shape and silhouette of the SUV is expected to remain the same with major design elements being the same as the regular model.

On the inside, the features list and the cabin layout is also expected to be the same as the regular model. The 2025 G 63 comes equipped with the new-generation MBUX infotainment system, which is also present in the GLS facelift. The system features a 12.3 inch infotainment touchscreen and an equally sized digital instrument cluster. The new 'Collector's Edition of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 on the other hand is likely to have a new design theme for the interior, as per the Indian conditions.

The material selection for the interior lining and upholstery could also undergo some modification considering that it is a 'Collector's Edition' version. The spec sheet of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 'Collector's Edition' too is likely to remain unchanged from the normal version.
Propelling the 2025 G 63 is a 4.0-litre V8, hand-assembled. It delivers 576 bhp of peak power and a maximum torque output of 850 Nm. It also receives an additional 20 bhp of boost from the mild hybrid technology. The transmission duty is a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic. Paddle shifters are also available in the event the driver wishes to drive manually.

Cane variety with 14% sugar recovery rate can boost Maha's economy: Gadkari
Union minister Nitin Gadkari highlighted the economic potential of a new sugarcane variety with a 14 per cent sugar recovery rate, stating that it could increase Maharashtra's economic output by ₹25,000 crore. Speaking at the silver jubilee event of the Saturday Club Global Trust in Nagpur, Gadkari said, 'Brazil has developed a sugarcane breed through biotechnology that offers a 14 per cent sugar recovery. If we use a similar variety in Maharashtra, it could positively impact our state's economy by ₹25,000 crore.' 'Kolhapur district currently records the highest sugar recovery in Maharashtra, at around 12 to 12.5 per cent, while Vidarbha lags at approximately 11.25 per cent. Even a 1 per cent increase in sugar recovery translates to gains of ₹7 to ₹8 crore,' he noted, highlighting the substantial economic benefits of improved sugarcane breeds. The minister mentioned that he had provided the Vasantdada Sugar Institute with comprehensive information about the high-yielding variety and requested it to develop a breed tailored to local conditions. 'Anyone who understands demand and supply can succeed. If you identify what is in short supply and produce it, there is profit,' he said. During his address, Gadkari also spoke about the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, stressing the importance of understanding market dynamics. He further emphasised that credibility and honesty are essential traits for entrepreneurs today. 'Credibility is more important than anything else in business. There are no shortcuts. Quality and punctuality are essential, and one must think with a futuristic vision for at least the next 25 years,' he added. Automobile industry Sharing insights on manufacturing scale, Gadkari recounted a conversation with the World Chairman of Mercedes-Benz. 'I told him I do not approve of your business model. You produce only 20,000 cars a year. If you increase that to two lakh cars, your production cost will fall by 22 per cent. Managing both quality and volume is crucial. Higher volumes reduce costs and improve market positioning,' he remarked. He pointed out that when he assumed office, the Indian automobile industry was worth ₹7 trillion, ranking seventh globally. 'Today, it is ₹23 trillion, and we have overtaken Japan to become the third-largest automobile economy. The United States tops the list at ₹78 trillion, followed by China at ₹49 trillion,' he said. Alternative fuels Discussing the shift towards alternative fuels, Gadkari acknowledged that while petrol and diesel remain the global standards, India is moving ahead with vehicles using CNG, LNG, ethanol, methanol, biodiesel, and hydrogen. 'My own car runs on a flex engine with 40 per cent ethanol blended in petrol. Petrol costs ₹120 per litre, while ethanol is about ₹60. Flex engines reduce transportation costs significantly,' he pointed out.

Piastri flew away from his pole position and executed a flawless race to extend his lead in the driver standings. Norris crossed behind him after he recovered from a bad start. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari was third. The Aussie driver executed on a perfectly planned run at Spain today, to once again shoot his way up to the top of the drivers' standings, diminishing the narrow three-point lead Norris held over him after Monaco. It was yet another 1-2 for McLaren, who have proven to be the superior team so far this season, building on their seemingly unassailable lead at the top of the Constructors' Championship. For Red Bull Racing's Verstappen, though, it proved to be a confusing and eventful evening, following a mix-up of tyres — forcing the Dutch driver to race on hards — after the safety car was called in Lap 56, following Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli crashing out of the race. advetisement The mix-up of tyres allowed Ferrari's Charles Leclerc to get the better of Verstappen, upon restart after the safety car, as the disadvantaged Dutchman helplessly watched his hopes for a podium finish diminish.
