Ahead of the much-awaited release of the upcoming film Metro...In Dino, actor
Konkona Sen Sharma
has opened up about her experience shooting with
Pankaj Tripathi
for the first time.
Sharma shared that she feels glad to finally work with Tripathi, with whom she never got a chance to share screen space despite both being in the industry for a long time.
The actress also shared how their first day on set together felt formal, but they quickly grew comfortable with each other.
While speaking to ANI, the actor said, "Metro...In Dino is quite different from Life in a Metro, because Life in a Metro was made 17-18 years ago. We were younger back then, so the story was different. And I feel lucky to work with Mr. Pankaj Tripathi."
"It was a lot of fun. Actually, I wasn't sure what to expect because, even though both of us have been working for so long, we hadn't worked together before.
But he is very popular, and I've seen his work--I like it a lot. So, I was happy to be working with him. On the first day, I think we were both a little shy and formal. Anurag always says this very funnily: 'On the first day, we were both a little shy, a little formal. Mr. Pankaj used to say "Namaste" and all that.
I'm also a bit like that--kind of old-fashioned. But we quickly became comfortable with each other," she added.
The trailer of Metro...In Dino was released earlier this month. Along with Kher and Gupta, the film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditya Roy Kapur,
Sara Ali Khan
, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Ali Fazal.

Sara Ali Khan admits trolling affects her mother Amrita Singh emotionally: ‘I feel very bad... my mom feels bad when she reads about it'

Sara Ali Khan is no stranger to trolling. From her film choices to her physical appearance, the actress, like many star kids in the industry, has faced her share of online hate. But in a recent interview, Sara admitted that while she's learnt to take the negativity in her stride, it's her mother Amrita Singh who finds it harder to ignore. Speaking to Instant Bollywood, Sara shared how she copes with social media scrutiny, acknowledging that it often affects her mother emotionally. 'It's very wrong. I feel very bad. My mom feels bad when she reads about it. What will I do about it? I can't change it. I can feel bad, but you just have to move on,' she said candidly. Sara reflected on how people online continue to write insensitive and critical things, regardless of their accuracy or impact. 'Wrong karke kya kar loge? Aap rok doge? Koi likhna bandh kar dega? It's not going to stop. So really, what is the point?' she asked rhetorically. Learning to be thick-skinned Despite being under constant public scrutiny, Sara said she's come to terms with the fact that this is part of being a public figure. 'You just have to be thick-skinned. Mom's new vocabulary is thick-skinned,' she shared with a smile. 'The only thing I actually care about is her—like I care that she's reading this. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo It's a give and take at home. Tanishaa S Mukerji reveals why she stopped working in Tamil cinema

Actress Tanishaa S Mukerji, who had a scintillating debut in Tamil film industry with 'Unnale Unnale', has shared why she stopped working in the Tamil film industry. Her character of Deepika in the film was appreciated by the audience and the way the actress managed to get all the nuances and emotions of her character right on-screen was something truly worthy of appreciation. However, much to everyone's shock, she stopped doing Tamil films after a dream debut. Talking about her character, the actress said, "Well, I am immensely grateful for the love and appreciation I received in 'Unnale Unnale' for playing Deepika. I truly believe the fact that I wouldn't have been able to play her if I wasn't able to identify myself with her. In fact, while playing her character, I had realized that her thought process concerning love was more about acceptance. In love, you really have to accept people for whom they are as you cannot change them. Instead, you can choose to grow with them. That was the idea". Sharing the reason behind not working in Tamil cinema, the actress said, "As far as not being a part of Tamil projects anymore after a dream debut, I would say that part of getting more projects in a particular industry is a lot about networking with the people who make films in that industry. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo In my case, I wasn't living in Chennai and hence, I wasn't in a position to meet any producer or director. Of late, the actress has been seen donning traditionally-rich ethnic outfits like a striking handwoven silk saree during a recent campaign that celebrated Indian artisans. The actress drew attention not just for her stunning look, but for the sincerity in her words. Talking about her deep-rooted connection with Indian culture, the actress said, "Indian culture isn't just something I admire, it lives in me. From the fabrics we wear to the rituals we celebrate, I find deep meaning in our traditions. My fashion choices are often rooted in that identity". The actress has always embraced a style that blends modern design with traditional craftsmanship. Her clothing choices consistently reflect a sense of purpose and cultural pride.
