Imran's former wife Jemima, Indian film stars condemn deadly Israeli strikes on Gaza

Jemima Goldsmith, the former wife of Pakistan ex-PM Imran Khan, highlighted Israel's recent assault in the Gaza Strip, which has killed over 400 Palestinians including over 180 children.
Meanwhile, Bollywood celebrities also condemned the brutality of Israeli forces against the Gazans.
British activist Jemima also voiced her frustration, criticising global leaders and Western media for their bias over the situation in Gaza Strip.
On her X account, she wrote, 'On October 7, when 36 Israeli children and a newborn were ruthlessly murdered, it was rightfully remembered. World leaders condemned it, films were made so it never be forgotten, the Israeli flag was diplayed on public buildings across the globe. Yet, when 130 Palestinian children were killed in their sleep just a mile away on March 18, it didn't even make the front page. This was just another day in Gaza.'
Later she corrected the toll of Gaza children from 130 to 180 on her X account.
Jemima Goldsmith has consistently condemned Israel's relentless bombings on Gaza since October 2023.
Meanwhile, Indian actress Kalki Koechlin also expressed her deep sorrow in an emotional Instagram post, criticising the ongoing brutality in Gaza.
"My heart breaks," she wrote, alongside a heartbreaking emoji. "The Israeli government chooses war over the ceasefire. Over political solutions. Over peace. The death of hundreds more Palestinians, the genocide of a people. The hostages' families are left hanging."
Another Indian film star Swara Bhasker, known for her outspoken views, strongly condemned the airstrikes, labeling Israel a 'terrorist.'
In a post on her official X account, Bhasker wrote with the hashtag #FreePalestine: 'We live in a world where the slaughter of 400 children in a single day is apparently acceptable just because they are Palestinians. This an utterly despicable act of terrorism. I will SAY IT AGAIN AND AGAIN... Israel is the terrorist.'
According to AFP report, Gaza's civil defence agency said that 504 people had been killed since Israel resumed intense strikes on the Palestinian territory.
"The total number of martyrs since the resumption of the aggression at dawn on Tuesday until noon today is 504 martyrs, including more than 190 children," the agency's spokesman Mahmud Bassal said in a statement.

Trump's new travel ban goes into effect against citizens of 12 nations
President Donald Trump's sweeping new travel ban came into effect early on Monday immediately after midnight, barring citizens from a dozen nations from entering the United States and reviving a divisive measure from his first term. The move is expected to disrupt refugee pathways and further restrict immigration as the Trump administration expands its crackdown on illegal entries. Many of the nations covered by the restrictions have adversarial relations with the United States, such as Iran and Afghanistan, while others face severe crises, like Haiti and Libya. In announcing his restrictions last week, Trump said the new measure was spurred by a recent "terrorist attack" on Jews in Colorado. The group had been protesting in solidarity with hostages held in Gaza when they were assaulted by a man the White House said had overstayed his visa. That attack, Trump said, "underscored the extreme dangers posed to our country by the entry of foreign nationals who are not properly vetted" or who overstay their visas. The move bans all travel to the United States by nationals of Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, according to the White House. Trump also imposed a partial ban on travelers from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela. Some temporary work visas from those countries will be allowed. New countries could be added, Trump warned, "as threats emerge around the world." Mehria, a 23-year-old woman from Afghanistan who applied for refugee status, said the new rules have trapped her and many other Afghans in uncertainty. "We gave up thousands of hopes and our entire lives... on a promise from America, but today we are suffering one hell after another," she told AFP. Rumours of a new travel ban had circulated following the Colorado attack, with Trump's administration vowing to pursue "terrorists" living in the United States on visas. US officials said suspect Mohamed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian national according to court documents, was in the country illegally having overstayed a tourist visa, but that he had applied for asylum in September 2022. Trump's new travel ban notably does not include Egypt. His proclamation said Taliban-ruled Afghanistan and war-torn Libya, Sudan, Somalia and Yemen lacked "competent" central authorities for processing passports and vetting.
