Aashiqui Success Did Not Bring Full Compensation
Anu Aggarwal, who gained nationwide fame with her debut in the 1990 romantic film Aashiqui, has made candid revelations about the shadowy underworld influence in Bollywood during the 1990s. Speaking in a recent interview, she described the film industry of that period as a 'dirty business,' highlighting how much of the financing came from illicit sources. Aggarwal pointed out that during her time in the industry, Bollywood was essentially controlled by underworld figures, including Dawood Ibrahim. In her conversation with Pinkvilla, she recalled that most of the money flowing into films came through under-the-table deals. According to her, 'It was ruled by people like Dawood Ibrahim. All the money that was coming into the film industry came from the underworld. It was a completely different scenario.'Anu's rise to fame was swift. Aashiqui's massive success turned her into a household name overnight, but the adoration soon became overwhelming. The constant public attention affected her deeply, leading her to retreat from the spotlight. She spoke about the level of obsession fans had, with some even traveling internationally just to get a glimpse of her residence. She noted, 'For me to walk around alone and live alone at that time… I had fans standing under my building. Luckily, it was an MLA-MP building, so we had police protection. It was madness. People would fly from countries just to see my building, just like how it is for Shah Rukh Khan today. Shah Rukh is my neighbour, and that's what used to happen to me, and I ran away from it.'This period of fame, rather than being a time of celebration, became suffocating. Anu eventually chose to walk away from films, not because of bitterness or disillusionment, but because the intensity of fame was too much to handle. She explained that she had already accomplished her dreams and wanted to pursue personal growth outside of the industry.Despite the commercial triumph of Aashiqui, Anu Aggarwal revealed she was never fully paid for her role in the film. She claimed that she only received 60 percent of the remuneration promised to her and that the remaining amount remains unpaid even decades later. 'I haven't gotten the full fees for Aashiqui till today. I've only been paid 60% of the full fees. They still owe me the 40%,' she said.Following her breakthrough, she acted in other films such as Ghazab Tamasha, King Uncle, and Ram Shastra, among others. However, her rising career came to a sudden halt after a devastating car accident in 1999. The crash left her in a coma for 29 days, and she never returned to acting after recovering. Her final film appearance was in the 1996 thriller Return of Jewel Thief. While the industry's dark associations and the pressures of fame could have been enough to push anyone out, Anu clarified that her decision to leave was personal. She emphasized that she had no regrets and simply wanted to explore a life beyond cinema.

Viral Video Shows Chitrakoot Ghat's Twin Faces: Exploring Unique Charms Of UP And MP Sides

Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, two neighbouring states in central-northern India, not only share a common border but also deep cultural, historical, and religious ties. Regions like Bundelkhand span both states, reflecting similar language dialects, customs, festivals, and lifestyle patterns. One of the most prominent shared spiritual sites is Chitrakoot, a sacred town located on the border of the two states. Recently, a digital content creator highlighted the stark contrast in the appearance of Chitrakoot Ghat from the Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh sides. In the video he shared, the Uttar Pradesh side was shown bustling with activity-bright lights, decorations, and a vibrant atmosphere. In contrast, the Madhya Pradesh side appeared calmer, quieter, and more serene, with minimal crowd and decoration. While the creator did not express a personal preference, he invited his followers to decide which side they found more appealing. The video sparked a lively debate in the comments, with users appreciating the unique charm and benefits of both sides. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bharat (@bharatfeed247) "Madhya Pradesh is ruling the comments section, bro; people prefer peace over chaos," commented a user. "Funny how one video was enough to trigger a debate about which is better, MP or UP. Even if one of it is better, why can't we accept it, learn from it and apply the betterment in our own state?" Think of the fact: how often do we forget that we share the same sky and same land of the same nation, still criticising one part and cherishing another?" wrote another user. Chitrakoot holds immense religious significance in Hindu mythology. It is believed to be the place where Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana spent part of their 14-year exile, as described in the Ramayana. The town is dotted with temples, ghats, and caves associated with their stay, drawing pilgrims from across India. Cultural overlap is also evident in shared festivals like Diwali, Holi, Navratri, and Ram Navami, which are celebrated with similar fervor. Folk music, art forms like Bundeli painting, and traditional foods also show notable similarities. Both states reflect a deep-rooted connection in traditions, language (Hindi-Bundeli mix), and religious sentiments that transcend political boundaries.

In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood, the dazzling lives of the stars usually take the center stage. However, what happens behind the scenes when the curtain falls is a lot more than what meets the eye. We often see celebrities with turbulent relationships, complex dynamics, and complicated interpersonal lives. One such similar tale is of a celebrated actor from the golden era, who has delivered many cult classics and has charmed everyone with his captivating screen presence. The person we are talking about is none other than Deepak Tijori. A celebrated face from the golden age of Bollywood, he started his career in 1988 with Tera Naam Mera Naam. However, later, the reports of his wife throwing him out of the Mumbai house started doing the rounds. She allegedly suspected him of cheating, which turned their relationship ugly. However, to fight his side, Deepak hired a counsellor to resolve the matter; however, what happened next was no less than a courtroom thriller. During the legal proceedings, Deepak found out that Shivani was never legally his wife. She had not divorced her first husband legally, and therefore, their marriage was invalid.
