A new summer rom-com inspired version of the ad campaign 'that saved Burberry' is unveiled today with a cast of A-list stars including Kate Winslet, Nicholas Hoult, Aimee Lou Wood, and Naomi Campbell celebrating the joys of London in the rain.The fashion label's summer 2025 campaign of seven short films, titled 'It's Always Burberry Weather: London in Love' draws from the rom-coms of the 1990s and early Noughties such as Love Actually and is The Holiday and is described as an 'urban fairytale of love, life and the rain.'Other stars appearing include Aimee Lou Wood, Chen Kun, Jodie Turner-Smith, Micheal Ward, Richard E. Grant, Son Sukku and models David Gandy and Liu Wen.

The End of Glitter?
Welcome back to Haul of Fame, your must-read beauty roundup for new products, new ideas and cigarettes that are really perfumes. (Sorry D.A.R.E., but they're cool as hell.) Included in today's issue: Augustinus Bader, Bliss, Byredo, E.l.f. Skin, Eos, Fable & Mane, Glowbar, Hammer & Nails, Laneige, Maelove, Noyz, One/Size, Paula's Choice, Practical Alchemy, Redken, Remedy, Sisley Paris, Typology, Wella Professionals and butter yellow hair. But first… If you're a beauty historian, you certainly remember Burberry's epic 'glitter tears.' They happened in February of 2016, when makeup artist Wendy Rowe smeared the music festival staple on Vittoria Ceretti and He Cong. What a surprise, then, for Burberry to drop an actual music festival campaign in June 2025 with a glitter dress on Alexa Chung… and zero shiny stuff on her face. Of course, Chung doesn't need any glitter to shine — but according to most beauty companies today, neither do their products. As 'wellness,' 'aura,' and 'vibes' become ephemeral goals for TikTok stars and the fans who swipe through them, shoppers are craving glowy, dewy, pearlescent textures instead of the heavy metals they wore for the past decades. The switch is starkly clear at Urban Decay, a brand rooted in glam rock that has swapped its signature K.I.S.S.-y face shadow palettes for more controlled shimmers and even (gasp) mattes. The pop queen Lady Gaga was once a glitter factory; now the breakout hit of her Haus Beauty line is a Glassy Highlighter that glints with no glitz. Kylie Cosmetics' new Dewy Highlighter and Glossier's Futuredew Solid are similarly illuminating. Last week, Too Faced founder Jerrod Blandino's second act Polite Society debuted Highlight Society which vows 'no glitter!' in its 'glassy' formula. Even Lush's new Super Milk Glitter Mist has swapped razzle dazzle flakes for microscopic particles of borosilicate, creating an earthy glow you'd expect from Vermeer instead of Van Halen. (Sorry guys. Love you.) Makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench champions an unglittery, sweatier sort of sheen in her makeup looks lately, like the one shown here. (Isamaya Beauty) 'I think it's fun to look like you've been at the club sweating, packed on the dance floor,' said makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench, whose recent master class in New York City featured a 'swamp fairy' look with slick, colour-shifting lips that mimicked the blurry iridescence of a giant dragonfly. Ffrench admits she'll always love glitter, but she's also become fascinated with a different kind of shine: a gleaming exertion, the kind you can only get from a joyful night out — the kind that, less than five years ago, was still a life-threatening idea thanks to Covid. In 2018, National Geographic reported links between cosmetic glitter and ocean pollution, prompting brands like Bleach London and Ganni to embrace cellulose versions. But the environmental stigma still lingers, along with a suspicion among some makeup artists and creative directors that glitter doesn't really suit our current times. Trading sweaty, slick shine for man-made flakes of glitter is both a return to 'natural' beauty and an endorsement of getting back out into the messy, beautiful tangle of human interaction. The goal isn't to abandon sparkle entirely, but to refine it into something that feels more integral to the skin itself. Of course, like skinny jeans and winged eyeliner, glitter makeup can't truly die. Addison Rae recently covered her body in it for her Spotify album release concert in New York to great effect. But culture moves trends, and trends move products, and this summer, Charli XCX and Troye Sivan aren't the only ones on a Sweat tour. Makeup formulators are, too. What else is new… Skincare On June 8, E.l.f. Skin said it's okay to be a Clean Freak. That's when the brand dropped its new $10 cleanser (called, yes, Clean Freak) with hyaluronic acid and a gel-to-foam texture. Dear men: I promise that getting a manicure or pedicure will not make you any less of a man. It's fine! Enjoy! Still, bro-geared salons like Hammer & Nails are thriving. On June 6, the 'grooming center for guys' announced its 50th brick and mortar location, with expectations to open 50 more by December of 2026, according to CEO Aaron Meyers. The franchise counts UFC fighter Urijah Faber as an investor, so if anyone makes fun of you for getting a man-icure, just tell him so he can beat down those bullies. Welcome to the world, Practical Alchemy! The personal care brand created by former IMG executive Doris A. Wong launched on June 10 with two key products: $48 cleansing wipes with SPF and aloe, and $20 clear pimple patches. Glowbar is going from spa treatments to at-home scrubs. On June 10, the skincare franchise famous for its 30-minute facial debuted its first-ever product, the Expert Cleanser, which has willow bark extract and alpha hydroxy acids, and retails for $28. Glowbar founder Rachel Liverman says its development came from the 250,000 hours of facials that her estheticians have performed since the brand began in 2019. Once upon a time, base-layer skincare was called a 'serum.' Augustinus Bader is raising the word game by dubbing their formula 'The Elixir' instead. Out on June 11, it's fast-absorbing with a silky gel texture, and promises accelerated skin repair. I used a swipe on my sunburned nose last weekend; it stopped the redness overnight. (And look, for the retail price of $550, it should!) For those Out East, the beauty activations are already popping. Sisley Paris began its Montauk Yacht Club takeover on June 11 with spa treatments and products available for purchase all summer long. Amazon is Bliss-ing out. On June 11, the online megastore added Bright Idea toning pads and Clear Genius gel moisturiser to its Bliss storefront; both launches are Amazon exclusives. US college basketball star Azzi Fudd is the new face of Paula's Choice, holding court at in-store appearances when she's not dominating the court during playoffs. The Seattle-based brand announced its NCAA partnership on June 11. A paradox: For moisturisers, 'skin tightening' is a promise. For cleansers, 'skin tightening' is a threat. Remedy swears there will be none of that nonsense with its newest face wash, Rich Cream Cleanser ($16) which turns from a cream into a foam because it is soap. Yep. Good talk. Eos made an orange lip balm as a tribute to Blue Moon beer on June 11. It's $5, so about the same price as a can of the summery booze at your local bodega. Laneige still dominates lip balm sales. Can it conquer the rest of the skincare aisle? The K-beauty brand is aiming to find out with its Perfect Renew cleanser ($32) and face cream ($56), which both launched on June 10. They join the Perfect Renew serum ($65), which dropped this winter with collagen, retinol and ceramides — a far cry from the boba and strawberry extracts in the brand's tween-coveted glosses. Makeup Byredo's newest lip balms arrived on June 12, and they're sooooo pretty! Created with makeup artist Lucia Pica, they include clear, baby pink, shiny magenta and a shade that could best be described as 'a latte with an attitude problem.' J'adore. Patrick Starrr doesn't want your skin to burrrn. On June 13, his beauty brand One/Size revealed a new matte makeup spray with SPF 28. Hair Care Can Redken make 'butter yellow' into a hair trend? They've got a secret weapon in OG 'butter' babe Sabrina Carpenter, whose blonde hair was transformed into a creamy pastel shade by colourist Laurie Heaps using Redken's Shades EQ gloss. You can see the shade in Carpenter's new Prada Beauty commercial… oops, sorry, her new music video, 'Manchild'... which premiered on June 6. Fable & Mane unveiled its Root Refresh dry shampoo on June 10, with tapioca starch and rosemary included in the formula. It's $30 at Sephora and smells like a savoury dessert. On June 11, Wella Professionals announced its sponsorship of 2025's F1 Academy, so if you've ever wondered how baby race car drivers have such great hair under their helmets… well… voilà. Typology is expanding into hair, or as they'd say in the brand's Paris headquarters, les cheveux. On June 10, the French skincare brand debuted its five hair care products in the US, including two shampoos, a conditioner, mask and scalp scrub. The formulas include extracts more common in serums and moisturisers, including caffeine, squalene and polyhydroxy acids, and range from $27 to $38. The same day, skincare brand Maelove also dropped its first hair products, including a scalp serum, shampoo and conditioner formulated for thicker, stronger hair. Fragrance I appreciate Noyz for insisting that its Honey, Please hair and body mist is 'sweet, but not too sweet.' The formula dropped June 12 with notes of honey, caramel, ginger and pink pepper. It's $42. Obsessed with Celui's Scent Pack Trio ($20), which packages three vials of fragrance in a cigarette carton inspired by old-school Marlboro packs. It's got a pink stripe instead of a red one, but otherwise, the box is so convincing that it was initially sent to my spam folder for inappropriate content. Obviously, that makes me love it more. The past two months have been quite the roller-coaster for Aimee Lou Wood. She'd barely had a moment to process the fallout from the season finale of The White Lotus, which claimed the life of her fatally doomed character Chelsea, before she got caught up in a swirl about an insensitive Saturday Night Live sketch. And then there was "The Great Unfollowing," the social media obsession about why her White Lotus costar Walton Goggins was no longer tracking her Instagram posts. Gold Derby: I feel like you've lived two lives — the show life and then the post-show life. Aimee Lou Wood: That is so weird that you say that because I've just been talking about that. It's felt like two chapters of a very complex, amazing, confronting, challenging story. I've had to hold a multitude of truths to just be accepting of everything that's happening. Because it's all of it. You can't put it into a box. You just have to see it as a transformative experience because it is. It's amazing, and it's also been scary, overwhelming, and difficult because you're having to shift into a different way of living that you're kind of expected to know how to do it. But, of course, we don't know how to do it. SEEAimee Lou Wood is rising in the Emmy odds after the 'SNL' teeth joke How are you taking care of yourself? Given the social media swirl of everything that you've been through since the show has ended, are you OK? I am OK. Thank you for asking. That's so nice. God, that made me emotional. I spoke to Parker Posey today, and it was just the best chat because she just does it so right. She just doesn't engage with that. It's like, this is her experience. She is taking from this what Parker needs to take, rather than being at the mercy of other people's opinions. It's about her experience. I think that I'm good. I think that I've learned so much about people and about myself from the craziness of this. And for that, I'm really grateful, actually, and I've had reckonings in my life that I would never have had without this pressure cooker. So I think it's sped up my growing up process quite a lot. Parker was, like, we're entertainers. Our job is to entertain, and then we become not entertaining because of how heavy some of the stuff can be, and actually you have to just be silly actors. We love pretending, and it's when you forget that, or when you lose track of that, that's when it becomes very confusing. You have to reconnect the fact that we're daft and we're silly and we tell stories, that's who we are. And actually, we're not designed for that other part of it. We're not designed for the social media, all of that stuff. That's a different job, that's a completely separate job, and a completely separate thing to the acting. That part is harder because it's not what is our element. I'm not in my element doing that. I'm in my element when I'm on set. I'm finding that moment in Chelsea's story. And I think, "Oh, I've just got to tell the truth here." And that's what I love. But the other stuff, it is a completely different skill. You're only human at the end of the day, and so you have to find that right balance between the two. You do. You really do. It's just taking it all the good and the bad, and then you can do it. Because at one point, it was a bit, like, everyone's coming at me. This is so overwhelming. It's like, actually, everyone's not coming at you, Aimee, they're coming at an idea of you. They're coming at Aimee Lou Wood, who's someone that they don't actually know, and someone that's not you. You're a concept to those people. You're a concept to those people commenting on social media; the people who love you and know you are still the same people. So actually, all of that stuff can't really touch Aimee because they don't know me. It's strangers, it's people who don't know me. Especially with a character like Chelsea, especially with the design of Mike [White]'s show and his casting, he wants people who are really close to their characters, who do share an essence with them. It becomes extremely personal, and then it's like, well, actually, the "you" that they're talking about isn't me. It's Chelsea. That's a really interesting thing to experience. Aimee starts feeling like a disappointment because she's not Chelsea, especially when it's a show that penetrates the zeitgeist this much. You start to feel like you don't belong to yourself. I think that's what Parker was trying to say to me this morning. You can take from this what you need, what you want, to further your journey as a human being and as an actor. It doesn't have to be for anyone else. This is for you, so that then you get a sense of ownership back, rather than feeling like you're being owned by all the people who watch The White Lotus. How did you find your way into her? I felt very deeply connected to her from the first read of the audition sides. I'd always wanted to be in White Lotus, and I just didn't know where I would fit. I would watch it, and I think I want to be in this show, and I want to work with Mike, but where the hell do I fit in this world? I don't feel like there's a way in. And then I saw these audition sides from Chelsea, and I was like, "This is the way in if it's going to be anything, it's going to be this." And so from the beginning, I just think I really understood her, and she really resonated with me, and I think Mike really just bolstered that. We didn't have many chats about Chelsea, intellectually, it was all very gut-driven. His thing was more telling me you already know… ...that she was going to die? Yes. I did the scene where it said, "We're going to be together forever, don't you think?" And he says, "That's the plan." And she says, "Is it?" And as soon as I said those words, I knew it was them that died. I knew it was them. And Mike was like, "I think you're picking up on something here." And he told me. So I knew from the second time I ever spoke Chelsea's lines that she was the one who dies, and that Rick was too. And so you kind of have to put it out your mind while you're filming, because she doesn't know she's going to die, even though she does kind of have a connection to death that is quite strange, like she's kind of obsessed with it. She keeps saying bad things happen in threes. Yes, she references it a lot. So that was also helpful because it meant that I could know in the back of my mind because I think Chelsea knows in the back of hers. She knows that she's a person who cannot help but go towards danger. So she's very connected to her death drive, which is what makes her so alive as a person, because she thinks about death a lot, and she's close to it. So it means that she lives very courageously and very moment to moment. But it also is really sad because I felt like she was this person who just couldn't help but walk towards her own doom. And that reminds me of so many like women that I love, who I looked up to so much growing up, these kind of tragic heroines that were there. They were amazing and wonderful and brought so much light to the world, but also had this self-destruct button that they couldn't stop pressing, and it's part of what made them so alive and so interesting as artists, but it also meant that they didn't live. I just always understood that Chelsea was someone who almost knew that she wasn't going to live that long, and so therefore, a relationship like hers and Rick's isn't really that scary to her because she's got that amor fati thing going on, which is, yeah, this is probably destructive, but that doesn't stop her from doing anything because she's already accepted that maybe her life isn't going to be a long one, and it's not going to be a cozy one and a safe one. It's going to be bright and fast. What motivates her? Is it her love for Rick? I think that with Chelsea, a thing that really helped me was her line about "bad things have happened to me too, and you don't see me walking around feeling sorry for myself" that she says to Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon). And after I said that, I thought, Chelsea is running away from something. Chelsea is running away from a pain, just the same as Rick is, but the way that they deal with it is so different. And by pouring herself into Rick, she never has to look at her own stuff. It's all about his pain. She laments that to Chloe, but really she likes it that way because it means that she can just see and give and pour and not ever have to look in. It's all looking out. And that's why she's so confronted by Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) because trying to look at her, and she's like, "Whoa, no. That's not how I work. I do the looking." So I think that what motivates her is love for Rick, but it's also a really deep fear of sitting with herself. She does not want to sit with herself. She really doesn't. She doesn't want to feel the feelings. She's running away. She's gone traveling. She doesn't stop moving. She doesn't stop talking. She's constantly talking; words are her armor. She just chats, chats, chats, chats, chats. And when she's lying on the floor at the end and she can't speak for the first time, Rick actually gets to see her almost more clearly than she's ever let him see her before because she's got nothing funny to say, nothing inquisitive to ask. She's just her, and he can see how much he adores her and loves her. She doesn't really let anyone properly get to know her. It's both adoration and love for Rick and a true belief that he's her soul mate. But it also means she avoids all responsibility because if it's written in the stars, if it's fate, then she doesn't have any responsibility. She doesn't have any choice. So it's done, it's written that whatever goes will go and I don't have any control over it. It's a very clever way to avoid ever growing up, facing your stuff, facing your feelings and taking responsibility because we're soul mates, so there's nothing I can do about it, and that's where her and Rick are so similar because Rick's like, "There's nothing I can do. This is my fate. I have to go and kill this man." No, you don't. You have free will, but both of them believe that their stories are already written and that they can't change it, and that's why they are the perfect storm. SEEPatrick Schwarzenegger on pulling off Saxon's transformation in 'The White Lotus' Season 3 Do you think Saxon was truly changed by his encounter with Chelsea? Do you think she changed him? I think that she did change him. I think she did, and I think that it wasn't even romantic. I think it was someone that he needed to meet on his spiritual journey. That just shocked him. He was in a script, and she just came and ripped up the pages of the script and went, "No, we don't follow that." I'm not doing those lines. It was the shock of this human that woke him up. I think that he thinks it's romantic because he doesn't know any other way to be with women. It has to be that there's some kind of object of desire to him if he's interested. But actually, what I think Saxon realizes over the course of the show is that he's so much more interested in what she has to say and what she has to teach than his own lust. I think they could have had a beautiful friendship. I think what's so sad is that both of them could have had a gorgeous friendship, but they were both blinkered by something that was stopping them from connecting fully to each other. If Saxon was brought up in a different family, he wouldn't be that guy. And if Chelsea had a different life, she wouldn't be that girl. So they kind of miss each other, when actually, by nature, they're probably very similar. They're determined. They both love their mantras. They both love spouting loads of knowledge, and they're both really trying in life. But their just conditioning has been so different that they think they're opposites, but they're actually so deeply similar, and I think they just see that at the end, and then it's too late. What's one thing you took away from the experience? I've learned so much. Probably one of the most profound life moments I ever had was watching Chelsea die, sitting with Charlotte and Patrick and all my friends, all these amazing friends that I've made, and going, "Oh, it's permission to let go of anything in Chelsea that was me, that was holding me back." Because she's so close to who I am, just getting to grow up for both of us, because the thing that Chelsea can't do is grow up. I think that it's made me more ready to be a grown-up. Who do I want to be as a person? Who do I want to be as a human being, and how do I want to live? Because I now have the privilege of getting to be a grown-up, and if I'd made a different step in my life when I was younger, I might have been a Chelsea. So seeing that unfold is really profound. David Beckham edges closer to knighthood at King Charles event with Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet
Several stars joined King Charles III to mark a special occasion. On Thursday, the British monarch hosted the King's Foundation's annual awards ceremony at St. James's Palace in London. The organization is marking its 35th year, People magazine reported. David Beckham, Kate Winslet and Meryl Streep were among the famous faces spotted at the event, which featured 200 guests. Stanley Tucci and Penny Lancaster were also in attendance. Beckham's appearance is notable as the 50-year-old is reportedly gearing up to be knighted by the king. His wife, Victoria Beckham, would then be known as "Lady Beckham." The co-owner of Inter Miami CF and Salford City became an ambassador for the foundation in 2024. Fox News Digital reached out to a spokesperson for the Beckhams and Buckingham Palace for comment. According to People, the charity has trained more than 115,000 students in traditional craft and environmental education over its 35-year tenure. The outlet noted that it has positively affected more than 500,000 lives through sustainable urban planning. The King's Foundation was begun by Charles, 76, in 1990 when he was the Prince of Wales. His goal was to support "communities where people, places and the planet can coexist harmoniously." Today, the charity offers educational courses for almost 15,000 students annually, overseas projects revitalizing communities and historic buildings, and health and well-being programs for nearly 2,000 people every year. The king presented the King Charles III Harmony Award to Professor Muhammad Yunus from Bangladesh, People reported. The 2006 Nobel Peace laureate has founded more than 50 social business companies and encouraged sustainable projects. In 2024, Beckham announced in a statement that he was eager to work with the foundation to help inspire young people in his home country. "I'm excited to be working with The King's Foundation and to have the opportunity to help raise awareness of the charity's work," Beckham said at the time. "I've always been keen to help young people to expand their horizons, and I'm particularly looking forward to supporting the Foundation's education programs and its efforts to ensure young people have greater access to nature," he shared. "Having developed a love for the countryside, I'm also on a personal mission to learn more about rural skills which [are] so central to the Foundation's work," he added. The star received an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in 2003. The Guardian also pointed out that the former Manchester United player was put forward to receive a knighthood over 10 years ago when he was nominated in 2011. In addition to playing for England's national soccer team over 100 times, Beckham has been recognized for his charitable work with children from underprivileged backgrounds, People magazine reported. "It is utterly ridiculous that it has taken until now to honor David Beckham, who is something of a phenomenon, with a knighthood," royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams previously told Fox News Digital. "He has done a great deal for charity, especially UNICEF, and was involved in bringing the Olympic Games to London in 2012," he shared. "The value of his endorsement is simply amazing. From his tattoos to his footwear, there is a fascination with everything about him. His wife, Victoria, who also received an OBE for her work as a designer, was a member of the Spice Girls, one of the most successful girl bands of all time."
