39-year-old Sergio Ramos scores a stunning header for Monterrey in FIFA Club World Cup draw vs Inter Milan: Watch
Sergio Ramos proved once again that age is just a number. The 39-year-old Spanish legend scored a brilliant header in Monterrey's 1-1 draw against Inter Milan in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 group stage. His goal helped Rayados hold off a late Inter push and earn a valuable point in Group E.
This was the fourth Club World Cup goal of his career and his first in Monterrey colours. After a rough start to the year, the Liga MX side are looking for redemption and they've started well.

Monterrey 1-1 Inter Milan: Sergio Ramos steals the show
Monterrey were not the favourites, but they came out fearless. After a scrappy opening 20 minutes, Oliver Torres whipped in a sharp corner in the 25th minute. Ramos rose high above Alessandro Bastoni and thundered in a header. The Rose Bowl crowd erupted as Rayados took a shock lead.
Inter Milan responded just before half-time. Lautaro Martinez finished off a clever team move to make it 1-1 in the 42nd minute. He almost got a second midway through the second half, but his finish was ruled offside. Sergio Canales nearly gave Monterrey the lead again with a powerful shot that smacked the post. Jan Sommer was beaten, but the ball bounced out.

The second half saw Inter push hard. Christian Chivu's men dominated possession and kept applying pressure. But Monterrey's defence held strong, with Ramos leading by example. Esteban Andrada made key saves as Inter threw everything forward in the final 10 minutes.
Despite the heat in Los Angeles, the match kept a high tempo. Both teams tired towards the end, but Monterrey stayed compact and nearly snatched a winner on the break.
