Taylor Swift's New Post Leaves Fans Convinced of Major Career Move
Taylor Swift's New Post Leaves Fans Convinced of Major Career Move originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Taylor Swift announced on social media this Friday morning that she now owns the rights to her first six albums. This means that the 35-year-old singer owns every single recording, music video, concert film and the art that comes with it.
She has regained ownership of her master recordings from Shamrock Capital, the private equity firm that bought them from Braun's Ithaca Holdings in 2020. They reportedly sold them back to Swift for a price close to the $360 million they originally paid, according to Billboard.
"All of the music I've ever made...now belongs to me," the singer wrote in a letter that's published on her website. "Every single era. My entire life's work."
Back in 2019, it was revealed that Swift did not own the master recordings of her first six albums anymore because they were sold to music executive Scooter Braun when he acquired her former label, Big Machine Records.
The "Lover" singer was just 17 years old when she signed with Big Machine in 2006. Before her contract ended in 2018, she released six albums: her self-titled debut, "Speak Now," "Fearless," "Red," "1989" and "Reputation."
In response, she announced plans to re-record all six albums to reclaim control of her music. From 2021 to 2023, Swift released "Fearless (Taylor's Version)," "Red (Taylor's Version)," "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" and "1989 (Taylor's Version)."
Everyone knows that Swift is the queen of easter eggs, which are secret clues, messages or symbols that are hidden in her songs, music videos and social media. Many fans noticed in the first paragraph of the letter that the "Love Story" singer wrote 12 i's in the word "this."
"All the time I was thiiiiiiiiiiiis close, reaching out for it, only for it to fall through," she wrote.
Many believe that Swift will be releasing her 12th studio album very soon.
"Oh ts12 I can feel you," wrote a fan on X.
'SUDDENLY LIFE IS WORTH LIVING TS12 TRUTHERS RISE ❤️🔥,' one fan account posted on X, referencing another moment when Swift used exactly 12 letters in a post—when she reposted Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's latest album "I Said I Love You First" to her Instagram story and wrote, 'I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH OH MY GODDDDDDDDDD.'
One user joked, "Wait Taylor is low on cash which means TS12 is right around the corner."
Another fan speculated that TS12 would come in 2026, explaining the 26% off sale of 12 items on her website a couple of weeks ago.
"wait, so TS12 is even closer than we thought (february 2026???)," which they posted with the viral GIF of Beyonce winning Album of the Year in the 2025 Grammys for her country album "Cowboy Carter."
Also, many Swifties noticed a new "TS" logo on the top of the letter, which could also be a sign of a new era approaching.
"WHAT is this new logo THIS IS GORGEOUS???" a Swift fan account posted.
"I thought I was the only one that noticed this…" a fan responded. "She ate."
"guys i think we have a new logo…" one fan commented. "ts12 is nearer than we think."

Opinions can vary on Garrett Wilson and what he "deserves.'' But "deserves'' isn't always how this works. The market sets itself, and the Jets know this.
Opinions can vary on Garrett Wilson and what he "deserves.'' But "deserves'' isn't always how this works. The market sets itself, and the Jets know this. originally appeared on Athlon Sports. We know that the New York Jets' contract extension talks with receiver Garrett Wilson are underway, with suggestions that this might be a slow roll on the way toward training camp. Advertisement And we also know that corner Sauce Gardner and edge rusher Jermaine Johnson are also due to join Wilson in wanting to get paid, meaning new general manager Darren Mougey figures to be a busy man. And what about Wilson's numbers? We have our educated guesses. And others have their uneducated ones. Example? The Jets receiver is the subject of shockingly bad contract prediction from quarterback-turned-analyst Kurt Benkert. "I think that Garrett Wilson could very easily get a four-year, $96 million contract," Benkert said. Wait. What? Let's do some math here. Wilson, whose fifth-year option will cost New York $16.8 million, is likely to view himself as a superstar - or, at least, a budding one. The going rate for such a player isn't a number that hovers above $20 mil; that's about $10 million shy. Advertisement Wilson, 24, despite shaky QB play, has become a 1,000-yard perennial. ESPN's Ben Solak has even predicted that in 2025 Wilson will lead the NFL in receiving yards. Opinions can vary on Wilson and what he "deserves.'' But "deserves'' isn't always how this works. The market sets itself. There are now nine NFL receivers who make over $29 million per year. The next wave of great receivers will be chasing a number like that. Not everybody in the media might see it. But we bet the Jets do. Shams Charania Drops Major Kevin Durant Trade Update on Wednesday
Shams Charania Drops Major Kevin Durant Trade Update on Wednesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Budenholzer replaced Frank Vogel, who was also fired after one season. Phoenix missed the playoffs and play-in tournament this year despite having Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. Charania is reporting that Booker was involved in the Suns' coaching search process during the final stages and stamped Ott as his top choice. Durant, though, wasn't involved. That's because the Suns are expected to work together with the superstar and his business partner, Boardroom CEO Rich Kleiman, on a trade. "The Suns will work with All-Star forward Kevin Durant and his business partner, Boardroom CEO Rich Kleiman, on his next landing spot," Charania wrote. "He is expected to have a robust market of approximately four to six seriously interested teams this offseason, sources said." Phoenix Suns star Kevin Chenoy-Imagn Images A future Hall of Famer, Durant has one year remaining on his contract. The small forward will make $54.7 million next season. Advertisement Durant turns 37 in September. He averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Suns this season while shooting 52.7% from the field, 43.0% from beyond the arc and 83.9% from the free-throw line. Durant has career averages of 27.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets and Suns. KD won two championships and two Finals MVPs with the Warriors but hasn't gotten back to the NBA Finals since leaving Golden State for Brooklyn in 2019. Taylor Swift Turns Heads With Fan Interaction During Travis Kelce Date Night originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The couple was seen out on the town in Palm Beach again just a few days ago, this time at upscale café Buccan, and there Swift had an eyebrow-raising interaction with one of her fans. In an exclusive interview with Page Six, noted Swiftie Pamela Goodman revealed that she was also at the restaurant and actually spoke to the 'Love Story' singer, who was seated right next to her with her bodyguard also sitting close by. Goodman revealed that Buccan's owner approached her and her friend to make sure they didn't make any sort of scene sitting next to high-profile couple. But that didn't stop Goodman from taking the opportunity to speak with one of her heroes. 'I stood up and said, 'Excuse me, I don't mean to interrupt, but I'm probably one of your oldest and biggest Swifties on the planet' and she laughed,' Goodman stated. 'I said, 'I just had to stop and congratulate you on the re-ownership of your masters. I'm so, so happy for you. Congratulations.'' Swift replied: 'I noticed you. You are so beautiful. Thank you so much,' before shaking hands. 'I lived in Kansas City for seven years before you were even born but I'm a longtime Chiefs fan and I just wish you the best success in the season this year,' Goodman recalled of what she told Kelce. 'You're going to go back and I just know you're going to do it and I can't wait to watch it happen.'This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 6, 2025, where it first appeared.
