Hairdresser with 36H boobs has reduction to avoid becoming 'a hunchback'
Hannah Davison, 33, from Greater Manchester, was left with extreme neck pain for years due to her size 36H boobs and was forced to have them reduced by five cup sizes
A hairdresser who suffered from years of burning neck pain due to her size 36H breasts shelled out £3,300 to reduce them by five cup sizes, fearing she'd become "a hunchback". Hannah Davison, 33, jetted off to Wroclaw, Poland, on April 14 for a breast reduction surgery where over a kilogram of tissue was removed from her chest.
The two-hour procedure set Hannah back £3,373 after she bagged a discount for paying via her Monzo card. Now sporting a bust five cup sizes smaller, Hannah feels the hunch at the top of her neck caused by her large breasts is "already going" and her daily pain has "disappeared literally overnight".
Hannah, from Greater Manchester, shared: "I felt like I was on my way to having a hunchback. It panicked me at first because it felt like there could be something really wrong. I'm a hairdresser, so I'm on my feet all day and using my arms. I struggled to stay stood up for periods of time. I'd have a burning sensation in the top of my neck."
"I'd have to sit down for half an hour until it stopped. The pain has reduced to absolutely nothing. Even eating a meal before I was hunched because my boobs would mean my back was pushed down", Hannah said, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.
She continued: "My posture was a huge problem. Everyone has just been looking at them, so shocked at how good they look and how it completely changed the frame of my body as well. I look smaller, they were so big and pronounced changed frame of body.
"They look a lot more natural as well. It's a better quality of life and I'm a lot more comfy in my own skin, which I can say I've never had because I've had big boobs since I was 14."
Hannah first learned about the procedure when a friend went abroad for breast augmentation at Europe Surgery, a clinic in Wroclaw, Poland, in March 2025.
She revealed: "It was a last-minute thing, really. I'd wanted surgery done since I was 21, but it was always unreachable due to the price in the UK. I went to Mya Cosmetic Surgery about six years ago and got a quote of £8,000.
"It was way out of range for me. The last thing I heard, the wait list (on the NHS) was six years, and you had to go through extreme mental health screening.
"I didn't want to wait any longer. I had the savings anyway, but I didn't want to dip into them, so I worked six days a week for six weeks to make the money."
Hannah contacted the clinic in January 2025 and underwent her surgery just six weeks later. She said: "The clinic has a Facebook page with over 17,000 members so you get to see loads of different people's point of view.
"I'm now four weeks post-op and I feel absolutely fine. I started back at the gym two weeks post-op. My best friend is a nurse and she can't believe how neat the incisions look."
Hannah, a hairdresser since 21, has been battling worsening back pain for years, leading to a hunch in her upper back and a burning sensation when moving her arms. She recalled: "As the years have gone on - I'm 33 now - it's just got progressively worse, and I had a hunch at the top of my back. Standing up and moving my arms in a certain way gave me a burning pain in the back of my neck."
After undergoing surgery at Europe Surgery's clinic, Hannah spent one night there, followed by five days in a hotel, before she was cleared to return to the UK. Reflecting on her post-operative care, she shared: "A few times I was worried I could feel fluid inside my breast, so I just went straight in."
She praised the staff and described her overall experience as positive despite the discomfort. According to Hannah: "All the nurses are so lovely. The whole experience pain-wise was a five out of 10. The only annoyance of the whole process is the healing, as you have to do nothing. Other than that, it was a great experience."
Hannah, who had "just over a kilo and a half" of breast tissue removed, expressed her frustration with her pre-surgery physique, saying: "I've always been into the gym and training, and I feel like my body composition would never change."
She explained her struggle with fitness results prior to surgery: "No matter how much I trained, it would never make a difference. Now I can wear nice gym clothes."

Ex-soldier's daughters 'suffocated to death on camping trip' as manhunt launched
Ex-soldier Travis Decker is wanted on 3 counts of murder and kidnapping after his three daughters were found dead after a planned camping trip with him - as reports suggest the girls were suffocated A father, whose three young daughters went missing while on a camping trip with him, is believed to have strangled the girls as their cause of death has been revealed. A huge search was launched for Travis Decker, 32, after his daughters Olivia, 5, Evelyn, 8, and Paityn, 9, were found dead, days after they were reported missing, on Monday. The girls vanished during a planned visitation with their homeless dad, on Friday, May 30, but authorities looking for the young girls found them at the Rock Island Campground, in Leavenworth, Washington. A preliminary report into the shocking deaths said the sisters appeared to have died from asphyxiation. Authorities searching for the former Army solider said he is wanted for three counts of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping. Police have also warned the public"do not approach" the ex-solider with "extensive training" if he is seen - instead urging the public to call 911. Cops also found Decker's vehicle with two bloody handprints, close to where the girls were located. Police also discovered personal items like a wallet, food, car seats, and blankets. The location even showed signs somebody had recently been nearby, before cops showed up, as they found a tent a short walk away. The alarm was raised on Monday after Decker did not drop his daughters back to their mother. In a Facebook post shared on May 31, Mrs Decker said: "Last night at 8pm Travis was supposed to drop the girls back off with me and never showed. "The cops have him going north out of Wenatchee at 5:41. If you could please all keep an eye out for him, his phone is off and every hotel in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee have been checked." Captain Brian Chance, from the local police force, said the mum "expressed concern because Decker reportedly had never done this before and … is currently experiencing some mental health issues." He added: "What prompted her to call us was that ... he was late returning the girls and had not communicated to her that he was going to be late, which was his typical fashion and so this was out of the ordinary." Decker and his wife have been divorced for several years but he had been allowed to see his daughters every other weekend during specific hours - the dad had been known to stay at motels and camping sites after he lost his home. His ex-wife claimed Decker had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and she believed he did not take medication for it, according to court documents. The dad transferred to the Washington National Guard eight years after joining the army. He was a full-time member of the Guard for two or three years until, in 2024, he went part time. However, the military confirmed today Decker stopped attending mandatory monthly drills a little over a year ago, and the Guard was in the process of a disciplinary discharge for him.
