Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff documents the recovery from his tragic crash in a new feature-length film, which hears from close friends including Jack Whitehall and James Corden
Freddie Flintoff is giving fans exclusive access into his life in a new documentary launching this month. Available to stream on Disney+, 'Flintoff' follows the former international cricketer and broadcaster as he recovers from injuries sustained in a car crash while filming Top Gear in 2022.
Billed as a story of 'resilience', the feature-length documentary takes an 'intimate and unprecedented' look at the life of one of Britain's most beloved sportsmen and TV personalities. It features exclusive access to Flintoff, as well as his wife Rachael and close friends including Michael Vaughan, James Corden and Jack Whitehall.
The film also documents Flintoff's life story, from winning two Ashes series for England, to becoming a British TV star, and returning to the public eye following his life-altering accident. In the trailer for the documentary, Flintoff reveals how he lived 'under the radar' for seven months following the accident, which left him with both physical and mental scars.
Flintoff says he 'remembers everything' about the crash, which took place at the Top Gear test track in Surrey in December 2022. The footage also shows a still image taken in the aftermath of the incident, with crew tending to Flintoff inside the vehicle.
Revealing his reasons for producing the film, he says: 'One of the real frustrations was the speculation, that's why I'm doing this now. What actually happened?'
The film comes from award-winning 'Lockerbie' director John Dower, who had exclusive access to Flintoff over the past year, filming his recovery and documenting his cricketing career. Here's when Flintoff is on TV and where to watch it in the UK.

Amazon slashes Ariana Grande's 'divine' perfume to £42

'Had lots of compliments whilst wearing this perfume. First time buying it and it's a lovely day scent, would definitely buy again.' Amazon shoppers are flocking to buy a 'divine' celebrity perfume that brings in many compliments. Ariana Grande's Cloud would usually cost £53 for a 100ml bottle but has had 19% knocked off, bringing it down to £42.95. There are three scents in the Cloud range, the original blue scent in addition to Cloud Pink and Cloud Intense. Cloud opens up with lavender, pear and bergamot before settling into a very sweet heart of whipped cream, coconut, praline and vanilla orchid. It has a well balanced base of musk and woody notes. Cloud has been compared to Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Baccarat Rouge 540 which retails at an eye-watering £245 for a 70ml bottle, although it is overall much sweeter. Similarly comparisons have been drawn to Burberry Her which is currently reduced to £102.75 on LookFantastic. Cloud has pulled in over 16,000 five-star ratings on Amazon with shoppers loving its longevity and even comparing it to a much more expensive scent. One shopper said: "Had lots of compliments whilst wearing this perfume. First time buying it and it's a lovely day scent, would definitely buy again." Another was thrilled, writing: "This does smell very similar to MFK's Baccarat Rouge 540 with slightly less projection and similar sillage. This smells divine during the mid and drydown but the initial 5-10 minutes can seem a bit cloying. Cotton candy wrapped cloud would be a good description of this scent." The bottle design has been a little controversial with fans, one said: "This is wholeheartedly one of my favourite scents in the world. It's fruity almost with a vanilla undertone and it just absolutely jaw dropping, but it's incredibly strong, one spritz and you're done, which is good for long term but sometimes feels overwhelming. The bottle is very 'childish', a big cloud, but is removable so not to worry." Another shopper insisted that the perfume brings in a lot of compliments, penning: "This is my absolute favourite perfume ever! It smells sweet yet simplistic and lasts so long l. I get many compliments when I wear this perfume and definitely a great price for the 100ml one!"

Lorraine Kelly embraces appearance in bikini snap as she admits 'I've got a belly'

Lorraine Kelly was back on our screens this week as she hosted the latest edition of her self-titled ITV chat show Lorraine Kelly returned to the telly on Thursday (12 June) with a fresh instalment of her popular ITV chat show, where she chatted with celebs and delved into the latest entertainment gossip. The seasoned presenter tackled a variety of subjects in the episode, including the impact of social media filters on self-perception. ‌ Emily Clarkson, daughter of former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson, joined Lorraine to talk about her recent Instagram activity, which often highlights body positivity issues. ‌ During their discussion, a picture of Lorraine in a bikini was displayed next to a heavily altered version to illustrate the stark contrast that photo editing can create. "It just shows you what you can do now," Lorraine remarked, before revealing her first thoughts upon seeing the edited image, reports the Express. "It depends on what you're using it for. They did it with me, and I looked at it, and I actually laughed! I thought, crikey!" she continued. Lorraine pointed out the original photo, commenting: "That's more kind of normal, I've got a belly, who hasn't?" She explained that the editing process involved correcting skin tone and then "pulling you in", while Emily mentioned how editing photos has become "too easy" nowadays. ‌ Reflecting on a past segment from over a decade ago, Lorraine recalled when she sported a bikini live on her show and danced outdoors with her colleagues. She confessed to applying a generous amount of fake tan for the video but insisted there was no editing involved. "I did lather on the fake tan, and, as you can see, I was the colour of a satsuma!" she added. The television personality also chuckled as she confessed her disbelief at participating in the segment. Lucie Cave, who was also present on the sofa, highlighted how Lorraine was a "champion" of not using filters at the time, even though it was common practice to airbrush or edit photos.
