Remains of TikTok star are found in Peru
The remains of Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Pina have been identified through her distinctive tattoos after being discovered in Peru.
The TikTok star was located while workers were conducting a routine inspection of the La Atarjea plant, reported InfoBae, an Argentinian outlet.
She had been dismembered and was discovered at the treatment plant in Lima, Peru on June 9.
Pieces of Caicedo's body were found in bags outside the plant.
Caicedo posted her last TikTok on June 5 and she had a tattoo on her arm which included the phrase, 'Love me for who I am' in English. Another tattoo with the words 'Paula Sophia' was found on her torso.
On June 15, more bodily remains were found. As of June 19, some body parts were still missing.
Authorities are unsure what caused her death although strangulation is suspected.
Two main theories are circulating among police about who could be behind Caicedo's murder.
One theory is that the woman was caught up in Peru's human trafficking trade.
In recent weeks, multiple young women have been found dead in the Lima area or in the Rimac River, some of them zipped up into suitcases.
Police also believe that Caicedo could have been killed by people who wanted revenge for the death of her ex-boyfriend, who died in 2022 under mysterious circumstances.
In 2022, Caicedo left her home country of Venezuela at just 16 years old. She was accompanied by her then-boyfriend, Mayner Yoffrey Gimenez Castrillo, who was 21 years older than her.
Castrillo died months after the two moved to Lima together, which led to his family suspecting that Caicedo was involved somehow.
Various family members publicly accused Caicedo, then a minor, of conspiring with a new romantic partner to kill Castrillo.
Police first believed that Castrillo was beaten to death but now think it could have been a suicide. The case remains open three years later.
Caicedo has never been formally investigated for her ex-boyfriend's death and continued her lifestyle of working at nightclubs and bars.
Police suspect that on the night before Caicedo's death, she was lured away from a party under false pretenses.
Cigarette burns on her feet and legs have led police to believe that she may have also been tortured.
Her remains were thought to be dumped into the Rimac River, where they later ended up at the water treatment plant.
No arrests have been made and no suspects have been named in Caicedo's murder.

Fake dentist treats dozens of patients using instructions he found online
The 22-year-old man and two of his relatives, a 50-year-old woman and 44-year-old male, opened up a dental clinic in Havickluv Brod where they treated dozens of patients and earned £137,000 A fake dentist has been arrested after treating dozens of patients by following online tutorials. The 22-year-old man and two of his relative assistants had been working at an unlicensed surgery in Havickluv Brod, Czech Republic for two years, treating patients without having an ounce of"necessary professional knowledge". He performed tooth extractions, complex root canals and even applied anaesthesia - which can kill in rare cases - after reading about the procedures online. According to police, they each pleaded guilty and could be jailed for up to eight years. It's currently unknown whether the police investigation was sparked by patient complaints. His two accomplices, a 50-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man, each had a different role in the organisation. The woman worked as a nurse while the man created prosthetic devices for the patients. Dozens of patients handed over money to bootleg surgery, making four million Czech koruna (£137,827) over the course of 28 months. In a statement, Czech police said: "The woman, who worked in the health sector, provided anaesthetics but also other dental material to which she had access, such as fillings, cleaning powder, glue, impression material and much more. "A 22-year-old man posed as a dentist, although he lacked the necessary professional knowledge." Michaela Lebrova, police spokeswoman, was unwilling to share whether it was patients that alerted cops to the practices. All three pleaded guilty this week to operating an illegal business, money laundering, attempted assault, drug dealing and theft. Roman Šmucler - the president of Czech dental chamber - said he receives reports of 10 fraudsters acting as dentists each year. The president of Czech dental chamber,, said that he had an average of 10 fake dentist cases reported a year in the country. "I have two more submissions today, so today there are three cases in the Czech Republic," Šmucler told Czech media outlet Radiožurnál. A fake TikTok dentist has allegedly left people with severe gum and teeth issues due to her scam veneer business which saw her arrested. Monica Davis, from Illinois, registered the business The Veneer Experts in July 2023, which is now under investigation by police. Davis also offered braces, which left Monica Bailey and her 15-year-old daughter terrified of the dentist. Davis marketed her sham on TikTok as 'changing lives one smile at a time.' The Veneer Experts had also been operating at a Las Vegas strip mall, where Davis was found to be illegally practicing dentistry without a license. Court documents show Davis was released from police custody in Nevada on January 31, and nine days later gave Bailey her braces. Bailey said: "It's hard. It is. I'm just hoping that we can have a positive outcome." Bailey added that Davis "cleaned my teeth and started, you know, putting the glue on and putting the brackets on for the braces and I thought what she was doing was how it's supposed to be done.'

Australian reality TV star charged with decapitating boyfriend
Police are seeking the head of an alleged murder victim after a former reality television star was accused of murdering and decapitating her boyfriend. Officers discovered the burnt and dismembered remains of Julian Story, 39, on the bathroom floor of an apartment in the coastal city of Port Lincoln last Tuesday when responding to reports of a small fire. Tamika Sueann-Rose Chesser, a 34-year-old former contestant on Beauty and the Geek Australia, was arrested two days later and charged with murder. Police found Ms Chesser sitting in the back garden of the property 'in a catatonic and unresponsive state,' according to court documents. Ms Chesser, a model and actress, is also charged with disposing of human remains to pervert the course of justice and assaulting a police officer. Detectives have issued an appeal to the public to find Mr Story's missing head which they said was removed after his alleged murder on June 17 at approximately midnight. Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke, in a press conference on Friday, said: 'While I won't provide any further detail about that at this time, I can tragically say that we have not recovered the head of Julian Story.' 'I can only imagine, and I want you to imagine, the grief this news is causing Julian's family. 'Recovering Julian's head to return it to his family so they can have a peaceful outcome, have a funeral and lay him to rest is a really important aspect for us.' Detective Superintendent Fielke said there was no obvious motive at this stage and Ms Chesser was compliant at the time of the arrest. Police have released CCTV footage and still images to the public of a woman alleged to be Ms Chesser walking through Port Lincoln with her dogs after the alleged murder in the hope of determining where the head may have been hidden. The woman can be seen dressed in full body black dress and a black head covering, and walking down the pavement with three dogs. 'I'm appealing to local residents to review CCTV or dash cam footage which they may have, which may assist the investigation,' Superintendent Fielke said. A court order anonymising the identity of Ms Chesser was lifted on Friday in Adelaide Magistrates Court by Magistrate Ben Sale. The suppression order, which had also prevented the publication of the alleged circumstances of his death and the investigation. Ms Chesser, who appeared in court via video link on Friday, was refused bail when she first appeared last week and is being held under a mental health detention order. She will next appear for a committal hearing in December. The bereaved family of Mr Story has thanked police, emergency workers, family, friends and the community for their support. 'We are navigating an unimaginable loss, and your care has brought comfort amid the chaos,' the family said in a statement. Kiya-May Chesser, the defendant's sister, said her family has been left reeling from reports their loved one had been charged with her murder. Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, she said: 'Please report how my sister is in a mental psychosis... This is not her... She would never do these things.' She added that her sister had experienced a 'life of trauma and abuse, and now this – it has fried her brain'. Ian Parrott, the South Australia Police assistant commissioner, said there were a lot of unanswered questions in the investigation and it was a complex crime scene 'so it will take some time to understand the exact nature of what's occurred'.
