Dozens Killed, Missing in Ongoing Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza

DaysofPal– Intensive Israeli airstrikes struck the northern Gaza Strip at dawn on Friday, killing, injuring, and burying dozens under the rubble, as warplanes targeted densely populated civilian areas including Beit Lahia and the Jabalia refugee camp.
Medical sources reported that over 100 people are confirmed dead or missing following the bombardment, which continues to devastate residential neighborhoods. Emergency responders recovered the bodies of at least 25 martyrs in central Gaza, but many remain trapped beneath the rubble. Rescue efforts are severely hindered, as Israeli occupation forces have also reportedly targeted ambulances and emergency teams.
This latest escalation follows Thursday's deadly wave of attacks, which killed 136 Palestinians across the besieged enclave—83 in the south, 37 in the north, and 16 in central Gaza and Gaza City.

According to the Civil Defense, search teams investigating a bombed house in Jabalia camp found that the two-story building had completely collapsed, with no bodies recovered—a chilling sign that the victims may have been buried alive. With ambulances unable to reach the scene, Civil Defense crews resorted to using a fire truck to transport two of the martyrs to the hospital.
Local journalists reported that Israeli occupation forces deliberately struck multiple civilian homes across northern Gaza. Among the targeted were:
The Ghandour family home in Beit Lahia
The Al-Sayyed and Al-Hasani residences in the Salateen neighborhood
Homes belonging to the Al-Tatri and Saleh families in Tal al-Zaatar
The Al-Zinati family house in central Jabalia
The Taha family home in Bir al-Na'ja
Since the start of the war on 7 October 2023, Israeli attacks have killed at least 52,928 Palestinians and injured 119,846 others, in what human rights groups and international observers describe as a war of extermination against the population of Gaza.
International aid organizations and medical teams continue to warn of a humanitarian catastrophe, as repeated strikes, destroyed infrastructure, and the targeting of rescue operations render effective emergency response nearly impossible.

World Watches in Silence as Israel Kills Gaza's Children with Hunger and Fire

DaysofPal — For over 19 months, the Israeli occupation forces have waged a relentless war on the Gaza Strip, systematically targeting Palestinian children and treating them as strategic objectives. This occurs in blatant violation of international laws and conventions that guarantee the protection of civilians—especially children, who are among the most vulnerable in times of conflict. Since the beginning of the Israeli assault on October 7, 2023, more than 50,000 children have been killed or injured, according to official Palestinian sources and UNICEF. The scale of the devastation shows that children are not merely collateral damage—they are direct victims of what many are calling a campaign of genocide. Children Under Fire Gruesome footage from the ground reveals scenes of horror: the small, fragile bodies of children torn apart by missile strikes, often alongside their families. Residential neighborhoods, schools, and shelters have all been repeatedly targeted. Many of the victims are under six years old. Social media continues to be flooded with heartbreaking images—children pulled lifeless from the rubble of destroyed homes, others lying in morgues, and many more suffering catastrophic injuries without access to medical care. Deliberate Targeting Amid Global Silence Ayed Abu Eqtaish, Accountability Program Director at Defense for Children International – Palestine, stated in an interview with Felesteen Online that Israel has pursued a deliberate policy of targeting civilians, particularly children, who make up half the population of Gaza. 'The occupation intentionally bombs civilian facilities that should serve as safe havens,' Abu Eqtaish said. 'This naturally leads to an increase in child casualties.' He emphasized that Israel's use of siege and starvation as tools of war constitutes systematic aggression aimed at genocide. 'More than 17,000 children have been killed, and over 50,000 injured. These numbers are catastrophic and demonstrate the scale of the crime,' he added. Abu Eqtaish also noted that cutting off humanitarian aid, sealing border crossings, and destroying essential infrastructure—such as hospitals and food distribution centers—are forms of collective punishment. 'This is a fully-fledged war crime committed in full view of the international community,' he warned. UNICEF: A Generation Under Siege According to UNICEF, more than one million children in Gaza have been under siege for over 90 days, suffering from severe shortages of food and clean water. Supplementary nutrition has run out completely, and formula is available for only 400 infants, while over 10,000 are in urgent need. The agency also reported that 21 nutrition treatment centers—which had been providing life-saving care for hundreds of malnourished children—have shut down due to the ongoing blockade and bombardment. A Humanitarian Catastrophe Unfolding The figures speak for themselves: tens of thousands of child casualties, a healthcare system in collapse, and an entire generation being starved, bombed, and abandoned. And yet, the world remains largely silent. What is happening in Gaza is not just a humanitarian crisis—it is a historic moral failure. Unless international pressure mounts to stop this war, provide unimpeded aid, and hold perpetrators accountable, the death toll among Gaza's children will only continue to rise. Doctors Without Borders: Militarization of Aid in Gaza Is Inhumane and a Massive Failure

DaysofPal – Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières – MSF) has accused the Israeli occupation and its allies of turning humanitarian aid in Gaza into a tool for forced displacement, calling the latest food distribution operation a catastrophic failure in addressing the deepening crisis. In a statement by MSF Secretary General Christopher Lockyear, the organization described the May 27 distribution in Rafah, southern Gaza, as 'tragic,' noting that dozens were injured by gunfire amid chaos and a severe lack of basic supplies. Lockyear emphasized that Palestinians, driven by hunger and thirst after over three months of complete siege and aid denial, were met with 'systematic inhumane treatment' that has now persisted for more than 19 months. The statement criticized the distribution model for failing to target the areas most severely affected. Instead, it funnels aid only into locations pre-designated by Israeli forces for civilian gatherings, leaving vulnerable populations such as the elderly and disabled with no access to life-saving support. Lockyear condemned the effort as a 'cynical attempt to appear compliant with international humanitarian law,' arguing that in reality, it functions as 'a tool to coerce civilians into abandoning their homes,' as part of what MSF suggests is a broader ethnic cleansing strategy in Gaza. The organization underscored that the aid entering Gaza is not only minimal, but also often obstructed from reaching those in greatest need, paralyzing humanitarian operations amidst total societal collapse. MSF concluded its statement by warning that the ongoing 'weaponization of aid,' combined with indiscriminate bombing and mass displacement, 'may amount to crimes against humanity.' The group renewed its call for a permanent ceasefire and the immediate and unrestricted opening of all crossings to allow the entry of essential supplies, including food, medicine, fuel, and medical equipment. Just hours before MSF's statement, 30 Palestinians were killed and at least 150 injured in a massacre after Israeli forces targeted a crowd of civilians approaching a U.S.-coordinated aid distribution point in Al-Mawasi, Rafah — yet another tragic illustration of the consequences of militarized aid under siege conditions. Hamas Holds Israeli Occupation and U.S. Administration Responsible for Rafah Aid Massacre

DaysofPal – The Hamas movement has held the Israeli occupation and the U.S. administration fully responsible for what it described as a massacre at an aid distribution site in western Rafah, southern Gaza. The attack, which targeted thousands of civilians waiting for humanitarian aid, resulted in the deaths of over 35 people and injuries to more than 150 others. In a statement received by Safa, Hamas condemned the Israeli military for what it called a 'brutal and fascist massacre,' accusing the occupation forces of using aid centers as traps to lure starving civilians and then subjecting them to indiscriminate killing and abuse. 'This massacre underscores the fascist nature of the occupation and exposes the criminal motives behind the so-called aid mechanism,' the statement said. 'These distribution points, established under Israeli supervision, are being weaponized to perpetrate mass murder and humiliation.' Hamas said that in the early hours of the morning, thousands of desperate Palestinians—already suffering under a genocidal war and a blockade-induced famine—had gathered at the aid point following a call issued by the Israeli army. 'They were met with gunfire and grenades, a clear indication that this massacre was premeditated,' the statement added. The movement called on the United Nations, particularly the UN Security Council, to urgently adopt binding resolutions to stop what it described as a deadly and deceptive aid distribution scheme. Hamas demanded the immediate opening of Gaza's border crossings and the unrestricted delivery of humanitarian assistance through accredited UN agencies. Furthermore, Hamas urged the UN to establish an independent international commission of inquiry to investigate what it termed 'systematic crimes against civilians' in Gaza, and to hold the perpetrators accountable under international law. The group also appealed to Arab and Islamic countries to take immediate action to support Gaza's population, apply diplomatic pressure to halt the ongoing war, and ensure the complete lifting of the siege and the free flow of aid.
