Former Notre Dame women's basketball guard Olivia Miles committed to TCU out of the transfer portal on Tuesday, according to ESPN.
Miles, who was recently projected as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft by USA TODAY Sports, opted to enter the transfer portal ahead of her final season after helping the Fighting Irish to the Sweet 16.
Miles, the No. 2-ranked transfer available per ESPN's rankings, averaged 15.4 points with 5.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game last season after missing the 2023-24 season with an ACL injury. She also shot 40.8% from 3-point range after her previous season best was 27% in 2021-22.

Miles will instantly step in as TCU's expected go-to scorer, especially with the Horned Frogs losing Hailey Van Lith and Sedona Prince, who are both out of eligibility.
The move signals TCU's continued commitment to women's basketball, as it secured its first Round of 32 and Sweet 16 win this season before falling to Texas in the Elite Eight. Head coach Mark Campbell is 55-16 in his two seasons in Fort Worth, Texas, after spending the previous three seasons at Sacramento State.
Miles was a five-star recruit in the 2021 recruiting class, tabbed as the No. 8 player and No. 2 combo guard, according to ESPN's rankings.

Mavericks news: Kyrie Irving's ‘connected' Cooper Flagg revelation before NBA Draft

The post Mavericks news: Kyrie Irving's 'connected' Cooper Flagg revelation before NBA Draft appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Dallas Mavericks will have a big decision to make in the next couple of weeks, as they have the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft. The decision shouldn't be that hard, as Cooper Flagg has been the consensus No. 1 pick for the entire year. All signs are pointing to Flagg being selected by the Mavericks, and he'll be able to help them in the present and future. Advertisement One of his teammates will be Kyrie Irving, who will miss some time to start the season after recovering from an ACL injury. Ironically, Irving and Flagg have some similarities that could help their chemistry early, and the Mavericks' point guard spoke about him on his appearance on the NBA Future Starts Now. 'We definitely are connected. He's a Duke Blue Devil,' Irving said.'I know he can deal with the pressure, and I'm looking forward to seeing a great season. Not only from him, but a lot of other young players that are here nationally and also internationally.' Irving and Flagg are not teammates yet, and there's still a slight chance that they won't be, but it's good to know that they have something in common that they could possibly bond over. Cooper Flagg is set to visit the Mavericks soon With all signs pointing to the Mavericks drafting Flagg, he is set to visit the team in about a week, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. Advertisement 'Cooper Flagg plans to have a private visit with the Mavericks in Dallas on June 17, sources tell ESPN. One week after his first official Mavs visit, Flagg is set to be Dallas' No. 1 pick in the NBA draft on June 25,' Charania wrote on X, formerly Twitter. Flagg is undoubtedly the best player in this year's draft, and he has skills on both sides of the ball that could elevate any team he goes to. In this case, the Mavericks will be getting him, but there shouldn't be much pressure on him like a typical No. 1 pick, due to the fact that he's going to a team that is supposed to be a contender. Anthony Davis is the star on the team, and the Mavericks have a roster full of talented players who have playoff experience, and even NBA Finals experience. Once Irving returns, the Mavericks should be at full force and will be trying to make a run in the playoffs, depending on how their season starts off. Isaiah Adams appears to be on track to be Arizona Cardinals' starting right guard

Isaiah Adams appears to be on track to be Arizona Cardinals' starting right guard After starting the final five games of last season, the 2024 third-round draft pick seems to be the plan at right guard. One of the positional questions for the Arizona Cardinals in their starting lineup is at right guard. Will Hernandez remains a free agent and perhaps could return after he has fully recovered from his torn ACL, but we do appear to have some answers for the position. Manning the first-team right guard position is 2024 third-round pick Isaiah Adams. While head coach Jonathan Gannon has not said that specifically, we do have references to it. Starting center Hjalte Froholdt, who spoke to reporters after Wednesday's practice, referred to the offensive line's need to be consistent, whether it is with "Evan and Isaiah right now, or if someone else comes in there." Evan is, of course, Evan Brown, their starting left guard. Isaiah would be Isaiah Adams. Froholdt is happy with what Adams has done so far. Adams started the final five games of the season at right guard, and Froholdt noted how important that experience was for him. "I think Zay has done a tremendous job," he said. "I think he got thrown a little bit into the fire last year, and what better way than just to get tossed in there. It's the best. You make some mistakes and learn from it, so I think that having those opportunities last year has made him such a better player this year." Froholdt continued. "He's a big strong dude. It's nice being in there with him. He plays long. He's smart. He's good to communicate. He understands it, so it's been really good to see what Isaiah has been doing so far." While one might say that it is only minicamp, this is true, and things could change. However, In each of the last two offseasons under Gannon as head coach, they have identified their first-team offensive line in the offseason program to get them working together with consistency and chemistry. In 2023, when left guard was a question, Elijah Wilkinson was with the first team and started the games when he was healthy. Last year, after they signed Brown and it was uncertain where he would play after being a starting center and starting right guard for the previous three seasons for the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks, he was put in immediately at left guard and he played almost every snap of the season there. So having Adams at right guard now is a good sign that he is pegged as the team's starter for the regular season. TCU, North Texas announced as base camps for 2026 FIFA World Cup

There is one year to go until the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the organizing committee on Wednesday had a news conference announcing partners, economic impact on the region, and how local universities would be involved. The North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee announced six locations as base camps where teams would be able to train and stay before the games kick off, with TCU, North Texas, Dallas Baptist, University of Dallas, Mansfield Stadium and Toyota Stadium as locations. Organizing committee president Monica Paul explained why North Texas and TCU made sense as locations. 'FIFA is looking for base camps that have infrastructure that are already built in for those teams to train at, and knowing that our universities throughout the region have the fields that are already there, but have the media center, the training rooms, the medical facilities that are needed, I think are critical for them, It's great that all of our universities and even places here like Toyota Stadium as well as I'm sure the new Mansfield stadium facility will have that infrastructure, so there's not a need to augment other operational services,' said Paul. Base camps are for teams traveling into the region and give them a place to train, do media and have nearby hotel space until the World Cup commences, though Paul said they wouldn't know until February or March of 2026 whether all six base camps would be utilized. Paul also said tickets for the events would go on sale in Q3 of 2025, July to September, but that suites and other ticket packages can be purchased at Paul also announced the massive economic impact, as forecast by Deloitte, of $1.5 billion to $2.1 billion. With heightened concerns over U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the actions of U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, Paul was unable to say whether the organizations would be involved in security, but explained how the committee was working with the federal government. 'We're in conversations with the FIFA government relations team we had up in Washington, D.C., earlier in May to meet with Andrew Giuliani (head of the White House's World Cup Task Force) … but it's been set up specifically to address federal questions, working with federal agencies, how they're going to monitor and work with the World Cup,' said Paul. 'So we're going to continue to have those conversations, but at the same time focus on doing what is in our control here locally to ensure we're able to be successful all the way from safety to security to transportation to legacy, sustainability, human rights initiatives, volunteer services, and then continue to engage in those conversations.' CBP has stated on social media that agents will be at Saturday's Club World Cup event in Miami Gardens, Florida.
