Hoërskool Jan de Klerk (JDK) defeated Kingswood Academy 5–2 after a fierce battle on May 15 on Hoër Tegniese Skool N Diederichs Technical High School's field. This match was JDK and Kingswood's first clash in the Mogale School Soccer Cluster League.

In the first half, Kingswood scored early as the game commenced, however, their centre backs failed to communicate with each other, allowing JDK to score twice in 20 minutes. JDK's right winger Kamogelo Mabogola provided three assists to Boitshepo Botshe, the midfielder, who scored three goals. Kingswood came close to scoring their second goal, but their defender erred and gave JDK a penalty, which was converted by their goalkeeper, Mfumo Maluleke. The match went to halftime with JDK leading by four goals to two.
Coach Nelson Phiri from Kingswood brought in two offensive players in the second half of the game, striker Zusange Danda and attacking midfielder Tatenda Chitura. Twelve minutes into the second half of the game, Kingswood created many chances but they failed to convert. JDK's defence handled the pressure in a good way as they did not score against them in the second half.
Late in the game, JDK's left winger Lindokuhle Ndlovuse scored a stunning free-kick from outside the box to secure their second win of the campaign.
Phiri believed that his boys did not bring out their best.
It's our second loss, our performance was disappointing, and we were not prepared. My boys did not follow the instructions, which made them lose focus in the game,' he said.
Cry Meso, JDK's coach, mentioned how his boys played according to their style of play.
'They followed our tactics, but still need to strengthen our defence because we can't concede goals. I aim to build these boys to be champions,' Meso said.
Botshe shared his thoughts about the game.
'I feel good about the game, and it's our second win. We were organised. Going forward, we will train hard and be stronger to dominate our region,' he said.
In the last two games, JDK won one match and drew one, and after Kingswood's win, they have seven points.

TSMC says tariffs have some impact but AI demand robust

HSINCHU, Taiwan (Reuters) - U.S. tariffs are having some impact but demand for artificial intelligence (AI) remains strong and continues to outpace supply, the chief executive of Taiwanese chipmaker TSMC said on Tuesday. U.S. President Donald Trump's trade policies have created much uncertainty for the global chip industry and TSMC, the top producer of the world's most advanced semiconductors whose customers include Apple and Nvidia. C.C. Wei, speaking at the company's annual shareholders meeting in the northern Taiwanese city of Hsinchu, said they have not seen any changes in customer behaviour due to tariff uncertainty and the situation may become clearer in coming months. "Tariffs do have some impact on TSMC, but not directly. That's because tariffs are imposed on importers, not exporters. TSMC is an exporter. However, tariffs can lead to slightly higher prices, and when prices go up, demand may go down," he said. "If demand drops, TSMC's business could be affected. But I can assure you that AI demand has always been very strong and it's consistently outpacing supply." In April, the company, the world's largest contract chipmaker, gave a bullish outlook for the year on robust demand for AI applications.
