UFC 316 video: 'Zombie Jr.' scores ultra-violent faceplant knockout of Jeka Saragih
NEWARK, N.J. – "Zombie Jr." has arrived.
As JooSang Yoo walked to the cage, "Zombie" by The Cranberries echoed throughout Prudential Center. It was a bold walkout song choice, considering its ties to the "Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung. By the time Yoo (9-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) exited the UFC 316 cage, however, he proved he's perhaps worthy of maintaining the "Zombie" lineage.
In the span of 28 seconds, Yoo began and concluded his promotional debut as he brutally knocked out Indonesian star Jeka Saragih with a clean counter left hook. Saragih (14-5 MMA, 1-3 UFC) tipped over, face-first into the canvas, before Yoo blasted him with a follow-up punch.
Despite the frightening nature of the knockout, Saragih left the cage with assistance of his corner and a medical professional.
Yoo, 31, was signed on a recent episode of "Dana White: Lookin' for a Fight," when he impressed the UFC CEO with a win for Jung's ZFN promotion, based in South Korea. The knockout was his fourth as a pro.
Saragih, 30, has now lost back-to-back fights early in the first round.

UFC 316 results: Kayla Harrison finishes Julianna Peña, squares off with Amanda Nunes
UFC 316 results: Kayla Harrison finishes Julianna Peña, squares off with Amanda Nunes NEWARK, N.J. – First, an Olympic gold medalist. Then, a PFL champion. Now, a UFC champion. Kayla Harrison has a new trophy for the case. In the UFC 316 co-main event Saturday at Prudential Center, Harrison (19-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) earned gold in emphatic fashion as she submitted Julianna Peña with a kimura at 4:55 of Round 2. The first round was all Harrison, as she dragged Peña (13-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC) to the canvas with relative ease. Though the moment proved not to matter in the end, referee Vitor Ribeiro deducted a point from Peña for multiple illegal upkicks to the grounded Harrison. Early in Round 2, Harrison dragged the fight back to the canvas, where she grabbed hold of Peña's arm and torqued until the submission came. After the fight, Harrison called former teammate and UFC champion Amanda Nunes into the cage. The two squared off in a faceoff, of what will be one of the biggest women's fights in mixed martial arts history. Nunes has not competed since June 2023 when she defeated Irene Aldana and retired inside the cage. After nearly two years of spending more time as a mother, Nunes indicated her return to the cage was coming – and made it official at a fan Q&A on Friday. With the victory, Harrison keeps her perfect UFC record alive. Her lone career loss came to Larissa Pacheco in PFL in 2022. Peña loses the title and her second reign comes to an end. She was not able to pocket a title defense in her first stint, either. Up-to-the-minute UFC 316 results:

JooSang Yoo pulls off UFC 316 shocker with 28-second knockout of Jeka Saragih
JooSang Yoo made quite the impression at UFC 316; some might say it was a 'Notoriously' great showing. The South Korean fighter shocked the fight world when he landed a check left hook and knockout blow in just 28 seconds over his opponent Jeka Saragih, who went cratering to the canvas in a heap. Yoo told reporters after the fight that he was looking forward to bringing gold back home, and he even was drawing comparisons to Conor McGregor after training at SBG Ireland — the former double champion's home. Advertisement 'How MMA fighters train in Korea and how they train in Europe is very different,' Yoo said after his highlight reel knockout that is getting KO of the year mentions already. 'I felt like the difference was to show how to get a good rest. Korean fighters don't know how to get a good rest.'
