AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, attended a security exercise carried out jointly by JAF, the General Intelligence Department (GID), and the Public Security Directorate (PSD) at the Special Police Training Centre.
GID Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Husni, PSD Director Maj. Gen. Obaidallah Maaytah, and Acting Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Assistant for Operations and Training Brig. Gen. Naji Manaseer attended the exercise, according to a Royal Court statement.
The exercise included a number of training scenarios, tasks, and security applications carried out by armed forces and security agencies personnel using technology, drones, and robots.
His Majesty expressed pride in the advanced skills of the participants in military and security work, in addition to their professionalism and readiness to respond to various developments and challenges.

It also paves the way for delivering high-quality services to the brotherly Syrian people and meeting the travel needs of we reiterate the UAE's firm and consistent position in support of Syria and its people. 1,396 Undergraduates Receive Their Degrees at AUB's 156th Commencement Ceremony
The American University of Beirut (AUB) celebrated the second day of its 156th commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 31, 2025, conferring undergraduate degrees to 1,396 students. The ceremony honored the perseverance, spirit, and achievements of the Class of 2025 and featured speeches by AUB President Fadlo Khuri; influential figure in the global climate movement and AUB honorary doctorate degree recipient Christiana Figueres; and student speaker Yasmine El a speech titled Forever Young that blended celebration with a powerful call to live with purpose and conviction, Dr. Fadlo R. Khuri, AUB president, urged the graduates to carry forward the university's enduring values: to uplift, to empower, to enlighten, and to described the AUB experience as 'a high-speed Formula 1 race—intense, imperfect, yet completed with courage and skill,' telling the graduates: 'you worked alongside some of the brightest minds of your generation—like a perfectly synchronized pit crew.' He continued, 'Tonight, before you take your next step, pause. Secret U.S. nuclear proposal allows limited uranium enrichment in Iran
ALBAWABA- A new U.S. proposal to revive nuclear talks with Iran would permit Tehran to enrich uranium at low levels and retain parts of its nuclear infrastructure, according to a report by Axios. Also Read Iran offers a-year enrichment freeze if U.S. releases frozen funds Two sources with direct knowledge of its contents describe the proposal, which outlines a temporary, low-level enrichment framework under strict international oversight. While the plan forbids the construction of new enrichment sites and mandates dismantling key uranium conversion infrastructure, it also envisions a regional enrichment consortium. It allows existing above-ground enrichment for civilian nuclear energy use, capped at 3% concentration, per International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) guidelines. Significantly, the plan calls for Iran's underground enrichment sites to become non-operational for a negotiated period and imposes a halt on research and development of new centrifuge technology. The package also includes a robust monitoring and verification regime, including automatic adoption of the IAEA's Additional Protocol. Sanctions relief would only come after Iran proves to both the U.S. and the IAEA that it is complying in good faith. The offer, delivered Saturday by White House envoy Steve Witkoff, appears to contradict public assertions by senior American officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who have repeatedly stated that Washington would not tolerate any uranium enrichment by Iran or allow the survival of its nuclear program. While the Biden-era nuclear framework had collapsed amid mutual distrust, this new proposal marks the Trump administration's first formal step toward a negotiated settlement. However, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday that Tehran remains unconvinced, citing the absence of explicit assurances regarding lifting sanctions. He added that Iran is still reviewing the offer and pushed back on claims that the proposal is acceptable.
