Maruti Suzuki India has launched the launch of the 2025 Grand Vitara S-CNG starting at Rs. 13.48 lakh**. Oswal Pumps IPO subscribed 34.42 times
The offer received bids for 55.80 crore shares as against 1.62 crore shares on offer. The initial public offer of Oswal Pumps received bids for 55,80,29,616 shares as against 1,62,12,980 shares on offer, according to stock exchange data at 17:30 IST on Tuesday (17 June 2025). The issue was subscribed 34.42 times. The issue opened for bidding on 13 June 2025 and it will close on 17 June 2025. The price band of the IPO is fixed between Rs 584 and 614 per share. An investor can bid for a minimum of 24 equity shares and in multiples thereof. The issue comprises both a fresh issue of equity shares upto Rs 890 crore and an offer for sale up to 81,00,000 equity shares by Vivek Gupta, one of the promoters of the company. The company proposes to utilize the net proceeds from the issue towards capital expenditure of Rs 89.86 crore; Rs 272.76 crore for investment in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Oswal Solar, in the form of equity, for funding the setting up of new manufacturing units at Karnal, Haryana; Rs 280 crore for pre-payment/ re-payment, in part or full, of certain outstanding borrowings availed by the company; Rs 31 crore for investment in its wholly-owned Subsidiary, Oswal Solar, in the form of equity, for repayment/prepayment, in part or full, of certain outstanding borrowings availed by Oswal Solar; and general corporate purposes. Oswal Pumps, established by Padam Sain Gupta (father of Vivek Gupta, one of its promoters and chairman and managing director), commenced its operations in 2003 with the manufacturing of low-speed monoblock pumps. The company manufactures solar-powered and grid-connected submersible and monoblock pumps, electric motors comprising induction and submersible motors, and solar modules, which it sells under the Oswal brand. It is one of the few fully integrated turnkey solar pumping system providers in India with the capability to manufacture solar-powered agricultural pumps, solar modules and pump controllers and provide installation services for such systems. Sales of majority of its products are geographically concentrated, with the four states of Haryana, Maharashtra, UttarPradesh and Rajasthan accounting for 90.47% and 90.78% of its 9mFY25 and FY24 revenue Ahead of the IPO, Oswal Pumps on Thursday, 12 June 2025, raised Rs 416.20 crore from anchor investors. The board allotted 67,78,533 shares at Rs 614 each to 25 anchor investors. The firm reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 215.80 crore and a total income of Rs 1,065.67 crore for the nine months ended on 31 December 2024.

Mahindra Aerostructures, Aernnova announce $300 mn multi-year contract
Mahindra Group and Spain's Aernnova Aerospace on Tuesday announced a multi-year contract valued at about USD 300 million (over Rs 2,585 crore) for the Indian entity's arm Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt Ltd to manufacture metal sub-assemblies and components for a range of Airbus and Embraer aircraft families. The contract covers the supply to several Aernnova sites in Spain, the UK, Portugal and Brazil, further strengthening a collaboration that began in 2013, Mahindra and Aernnova said in a joint statement. "This partnership with Mahindra will enable Aernnova to reinforce its supply base to secure production ramp-ups in our factories for all our programs, fulfilling our mission to deliver to our customers," Aernnova CEO Ricardo Chocarro said. Under the "multi-year contract valued at approximately USD 300 million", Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt Ltd (MASPL) will manufacture metal sub-assemblies and components for a range of Airbus aircraft and also for Embraer aircraft families, including the Embraer C390 Millennium military transport aircraft, the statement said. Commenting on the development, Mahindra Group CEO & MD Anish Shah said, "As we scale up our operations and make significant investments in our aerospace business, we look forward to enhancing this partnership and scaling new heights." MASPL Managing Director and CEO Arvind Mehra said this contract builds significantly on the company's existing relationship with Aernnova's UK subsidiary and also opens up several opportunities to make in India. Aernnova had supported MASPL in the early stages of its facility development in India, with strong contributions to the facility design and development, as well as for skilling and skill assessment, the statement said. It stepped up to a new level when Aernnova acquired an existing customer of MASPL, Hamble Aerostructures (UK), from GE in 2020.

Railways to build 100 MEMUs and 50 Namo Bharat trains for short trips
To ease passenger woes in short-distance railway travel, the government will manufacture new 100 expanded mainline electric multiple units (MEMU) and 50 Namo Bharat trains, Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw said here on Tuesday. 'Yesterday, two major decisions were made. To ease passenger travel, 100 MEMUs will be manufactured with 16 and 20 coaches. Earlier, MEMUs were manufactured with 8 or 12 coaches. A new factory is being set up in Kazipet, Telangana where these trains will be made,' the minister said at the inauguration of India's largest automobile loading facility at Maruti Suzuki India's Manesar plant. A MEMU is a type of electric multiple unit train designed for operation on mainline tracks, connecting city centres with suburban areas for short to medium-distance routes with frequent stops. The minister also added that the ministry of railways will build 50 new Namo Bharat trains. These air-conditioned trains were developed for short-distance travel between cities. The first of these trains was launched last year in Gujarat. The minister also said that the GatiShakti Cargo Terminal, dedicated for Maruti Suzuki's car transportation, will enable greening of logistics as these cars were earlier ferried via road transport. 'In line with the vision of the Prime Minister, railways undertook major reforms in 2021 to strengthen multi-modal logistics, resulting in the construction of 108 multi-modal cargo terminals in a short span of time. The terminal in Haryana, where the announcement was made, is spread over 45 acres and has a cargo handling capacity of up to 4.5 lakh cars,' he said. The minister also said that a pilot project in the Bikaner division of North Western Railway to publish final charts with passenger allocation 24 hours before the train's departure has borne great results. He added that the facility will allow passengers to plan their journeys better. Currently, charts are published some 2-3 hours before the train's departure time, leaving passengers anxious about their travel plans. Maruti Suzuki transported 518,000 units in 2024-25 through the Automobile Freight Train Operator scheme. The railways, in FY25, crossed the mark of one million cars transported through its network. Now, 20 per cent of all cars manufactured in India are transported via rail. At the same event, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the government's railway work in the state and the Manesar cargo terminal will ease connectivity to ports on the western coast, enabling better access to export networks.
