UCLA 3-point specialist Londynn Jones transfers to rival USC
After three seasons at UCLA, guard Londynn Jones is trading in her powder blue and gold and heading to the Bruins' rival, Southern California.
Jones announced in an Instagram post Monday that she is transferring to USC.
"Best of both worlds, LA... I'm still here," the native of Riverside, Calif., wrote.
Jones made a UCLA program-record 87 3-pointers on 36.6 percent shooting from the arc in 2023-24. She followed that up with another 72 treys in 2024-25, making 35.1 percent of her attempts.
Jones averaged 9.6 points per game in 108 games (60 starts) for the Bruins, including 8.5 ppg last season over 37 games (31 starts). She was an All-Big Ten honorable mention.
UCLA went 34-3 in 2024-25 and won the Big Ten tournament by defeating USC 72-67 in the championship game. The Bruins were the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and reached the Final Four, where they lost to eventual national champion UConn.
USC, meanwhile, also earned a No. 1 seed in the tournament and fell to UConn in the Elite Eight. The Trojans lost national Player of the Year JuJu Watkins to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the second round of the tournament. If Watkins returns to action in 2025-26, she would count Jones as a teammate.

Marchand has now scored more Stanley Cup Final goals than any active player
Marchand has now scored more Stanley Cup Final goals than any active player originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston Brad Marchand continues to make a huge impact on the success of the Florida Panthers in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Advertisement After scoring a power-play goal in the Panthers' 4-3 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers during Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final on Wednesday night, the veteran left wing scored on a shorthanded breakaway in Game 2 on Saturday night. It was Marchand's ninth career goal in the Stanley Cup Final, moving him ahead of Ondrej Palat, Evgeni Malkin and Corey Perry for the most among active players. The all-time leader in Cup Final goals scored is Montreal Canadiens legend Maurice Richard, who scored 34 times in 58 games. Marchand also scored a shorthanded goal in the Stanley Cup Final on this date (June 6) 14 years ago as a member of the Boston Bruins. Marchand scored the first seven goals of his Cup Final career with the Bruins, including a pair of goals in their Game 7 win over the Vancouver Canucks in 2011. Advertisement The Bruins traded Marchand to the Panthers on March 7. The 37-year-old forward has scored in three different Cup Final series (2011, 2019, 2025).

Blockbuster NBA Trade Idea Has Hawks Swap Trae Young for Three Former Lottery Picks
Blockbuster NBA Trade Idea Has Hawks Swap Trae Young for Three Former Lottery Picks originally appeared on Athlon Sports. There could be a change for the Atlanta Hawks this offseason after missing the NBA playoffs for the second straight year. The Hawks haven't been competitive, despite having Trae Young, the league's leader in assists per game. With the lack of a competent roster, it could be time for Atlanta to trade Young. Advertisement Last season, the Hawks had a 40-42 record and lost in the Play-In Tournament. The organization hasn't been in the conversation of being a playoff team for a while. Bleacher Report's Andy Bailey suggested that it's time for the Hawks to consider trading the All-Star guard. Given that the front office hasn't been able to give Young enough help to contend, Bailey suggested that a fresh start with a different franchise could be the next step. Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young is guarded by Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Ray Seebeck-Imagn Images According to Bailey, the team that would benefit from Young would be the Orlando Magic. In the postseason, it became clear that the Magic need a point guard who's capable of being an elite floor general. Advertisement The blockbuster trade idea would send Young to the Magic in exchange for Jalen Suggs, Anthony Black, Jett Howard and a top-10-protected 2027 first-round pick. Acquiring the three former lottery picks could be the perfect fit for what Atlanta is trying to do. "The Hawks have never been able to figure out how to surround him with a workable defense that can cover for his shortcomings on that end," Bailey argued. "And they're brewing their own little positionless philosophy that could benefit from Jalen Suggs' defense and a few more on-ball opportunities for the likes of Jalen Johnson, Dyson Daniels and Zaccharie Risacher." The Hawks have a promising young core in Zaccharie Risacher and Dyson Daniels. Young is the only player who doesn't fit the Hawks' timetable. With the Hawks, Young has developed into a four-time All-Star and one of the best facilitators in the NBA. He has averaged 25.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 9.8 assists in seven seasons. Tyrese Haliburton Is On Cusp of Passing Reggie Miller
Tyrese Haliburton Is On Cusp of Passing Reggie Miller originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Pacers, by roaring back to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, not only showed that the Thunder are human but also demonstrated that they are a very real threat. Advertisement Entering the series, despite the Pacers' track record, the Thunder were seen as an unbeatable team. Now trailing Indiana 0-1 with a loss on their home court, the winds have shifted. With 0.3 seconds left, Tyrese Haliburton hit his fifth game-winning bucket of the postseason, rising over Cason Wallace to steal the game. Haliburton made his second All-NBA team this season, but his playoff clutch shooting has gotten him more attention than any regular-season success. The Pacers have never won the NBA Finals before, and if they manage to bring home a banner, Haliburton might be Indiana's greatest player ever. "Does Tyrese Halliburton pass Reggie Miller for greatest Pacer?" asked Georges Niang. "You get a ring, it puts you in a different category." Advertisement Niang's FanDuel co-hosts, Lou Williams, Chandler Parsons, and Michelle Beadle, all seemed to agree. Right now, Reggie Miller is easily the greatest Pacer ever. He spent 18 seasons with the Pacers, made five All-Star Games, and is one of the best shooters in league history. However, he only made the Finals once, falling to the Los Angeles Lakers. It's not his fault that his prime matched up with Michael Jordan's, although Haliburton seems to be on the cusp of doing what Miller never did. "All of this is about winning," added Williams. It's hard to imagine Miller disagreeing with that. Check out the All Pacers homepage for more news, analysis, and must-read articles.
