Crash blocks Milton intersection — delays expected
SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A motor vehicle accident has blocked the intersection of Dogwood Drive and Stewart Street in Milton, has learned.
LOCATION:
Officials have closed the road for an undetermined amount of time.
Drivers should use caution in the area and expect delays, according to the announcement.
Officials recommend that motorists seek an alternative route until the intersection reopens.

Google Maps on Android Auto is getting smarter about using all your vehicle's screens
TL;DR Google Maps has recently started offering a navigation pop-up on select instrument cluster displays. So far this has been spotted on the Polestar 2. We previously saw Waze delivering a similar behind-the-wheel view. How many digital screens can you see right this second? From our phones, to computers, to TVs and smart home hubs, our lives our just jam-packed with displays vying for our attention. And while that can easily start to get pretty overwhelming, this kind of preponderance of screens can also work to our benefit — if and when apps and services are making smart decisions about what to show, where. Right now, Google's working on pushing out just such an improvement to Android Auto. Just like so many other places in our lives, cars have been doubling down on their interest in screens in recent years. Beyond just offering one main screen on which we could interact with the car's own OS or use something like Android Auto, it's increasingly common to find vehicles that have additional display beyond that, with one especially popular option being a virtual instrument cluster display that lives right behind your steering wheel. Earlier this year we saw Waze learning to expand its navigation guidance to those cluster screens, and now we're learning about some similar efforts from Google Maps. Running Android Auto version 14.3.651844 on a Galaxy S25, 9to5Google reports that the Polestar 2 is now able to display Google Maps navigation data as a pop-up on its behind-the-wheel screen. This is distinct from the range and ETA view previously available through the car's Android Automotive interface. While this kind of functionality still appears to be incredibly limited across vehicles supporting Android Auto, that's a situation we only expect to get better, and it's nice to hear that Google's working to keep up with these trends. Placing navigation info front-and-center like this feels like a smart way to ensure that it's always easily within a driver's sight lines, helping to minimize distraction. That said, all this does feel a bit like a work in progress, and 9to5Google notes that the current implementation risks obscuring map detail with this pop-up in a way that could theoretically impair navigation. Elon Musk Claims 'Corruption' Over New Jersey Decommissioning Superchargers
The latest car news, reviews, and features. Elon Musk, the CEO of multiple companies including Tesla, just supposedly exited his time attempting to gut the U.S. government. Days later the black-eyed (literally) executive is accusing a government-run agency of corruption. On Friday, the Tesla Charging (formerly known as Twitter) account posted that the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) will not allow the automaker to 'co-locate' its chargers with other types of charges. Further, according to the Tesla-owned account, the NJTA asked the automaker to decommission 64 existing Supercharger stalls. Musk responded to a post on the social media platform, which he owns, stating, 'sounds like corruption.' Elon Musk Claims Corruption by NJTA on The NJTA issued a statement on Friday stating the New Jersey Turnpike will transition to 'Universal Open Access EV chargers on June 6.' Those chargers will be provided solely by Applegreen Electric, and are said to be compatible with all makes and models of EVs. The NJTA did not mention whether the new chargers will use CCS or NACS ports, nor did it mention charging output or how many chargers are coming online. PlugShare reveals that the Vince Lombardi Service Station charger is operational already with seven CCS plugs and 1 NACS plug. Tesla's post said the automaker has been preparing for this for three years by building 116 charging stalls along the New Jersey Turnpike that would serve as replacements to the 64 being decommissioned. Tesla claimed in the post that it offered the NJTA 'above-market commercial terms,' which included offering to build Superchargers at the New Jersey service plaza with equipment upgrades. The claimed upgrades would have included Superchargers with screens and NACS cables equipped with CCS1 'magic docks' (Tesla's adapter for NACS to CCS1). The removal of Superchargers, which are known to be the most reliable of the charging networks in the U.S. market today, seems at odds with New Jersey's EV adoption goals. NASCAR Power Rankings: Kyle Larson unseated at the top after Nashville
Cup teams are getting their last chances to race on intermediate-style tracks, ones that are more than 1 mile and have moderate banking. They are coming off four races at those tracks (Texas, Kansas, Charlotte and Nashville) and then have upcoming races at Michigan (this weekend) and Pocono (in three weeks following Mexico City). So the drivers who have been strong in the last month very well could be the ones who thrive in the playoffs, which has one intermediate-track race in each of the first three rounds. That said, here are this week's power rankings following Ryan Blaney's victory at Nashville: Dropped out: Alex Bowman (LW: 8) On the verge: Bowman, Chris Buescher, Kyle Busch, Austin Cindric, Erik Jones, Bubba Wallace 10. Chase Briscoe (Last Week: 7) Briscoe has won back-to-back poles but saw a two-race streak of top-5 finishes end as he placed 17th at Nashville. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver led 51 laps Sunday. 9. Joey Logano (LW: NR) Maybe a little overshadowed by Blaney's win was another top-5 finish from a Team Penske driver. Joey Logano finished fourth for his third top-10 finish in his last four starts. 8. Ross Chastain (LW: 9) It wasn't a win but an 11th-place finish at Nashville was respectable. He is showing better speed as he started fifth. The Trackhouse driver has moved up to ninth in the standings. 7. Tyler Reddick (LW: 10) Reddick finished second in the opening stage (thanks to some pit strategy) and wound up ninth at Nashville. A ninth might not sound great, but it was the best finish for the 23XI Racing driver in his last six starts. 6. Chase Elliott (LW: 6) It was a meh day at Nashville for Elliott, who finished 15th. And yet he is still fifth in the standings as he consistently is finishing races — he hasn't placed worse than 20th all year. He has just one top-5 finish, though, in his last seven starts. 5. Christopher Bell (LW: 3) Bell was involved in a wreck on Lap 119 and still came back to finish 10th. Finishes such as that amid some adversity is why people think this Joe Gibbs Racing driver can vie for the championship again. 4. Denny Hamlin (LW: 4) Hamlin led 79 laps and finished third at Nashville in a race where he started on the front row. The JGR driver won the opening stage and stayed up front for most of the night. 3. Ryan Blaney (LW: 5) Finally! A win for Blaney, who has had five finishes of 25th or worse and now six top-5 finishes on the year. The Penske driver led a race-high 139 laps at Nashville. 2. Kyle Larson (LW: 1) Larson had a tough day at Nashville, his second consecutive frustrating Cup weekend. He finished this one, though, and ended up eighth as he and the team were able to improve on the car throughout the event. 1. William Byron (LW: 2) Byron finished fifth at Nashville but moves into the No. 1 spot as he was fourth in the first stage and second in the second stage — and ran among the leaders for much of the night, maybe not as much as a week earlier at Charlotte but he continues to show he's a threat and a driver they will have to beat.
