When asked if her children are more attached to her or Ajay, Kajol responded with her trademark wit and warmth, saying, 'They are both my children, I want to tell you that. Ajay Devgn is stage pe nahin baitha hua hai. Bata du. So they are both, honestly, they are my kids, they are his kids, they are our kids. And I am very proud to say that they are very much their own people.'

Sharing an adorable anecdote from a conversation with her son Yug, Kajol recalled asking him who he wanted to resemble more—her or Ajay.
She told Pinkvilla, 'I remember asking Yug, 'Who do you want to look like? Me or papa? Tell me fast.' He looked at me like I was holding a gun to his head and very calmly said, 'I look like Yug. I am Yug.''
The Maa actress said that moment summed up her children's individuality perfectly. 'I'm very, very happy to say that I've brought up two individuals who have their own personalities, who I hope I've taught to think for themselves.
