Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. is dealing with a hamstring injury. According to head coach Dave Canales, Horn missed Carolina's practice on Tuesday, but isn't expected to miss much time.

"He's got a hamstring that we're managing right now, so we're just rehabbing him," Canales told reporters. "He's in return to play." The Panthers will hold their final OTA practice on Friday. It comes before a three-day minicamp from June 10-12.
Horn was one of the wide receivers drafted by the Panthers in April. The former Colorado standout gives quarterback Bryce Young a deep weapon in his third NFL season. Horn's speed makes him a threat against NFC South competition. Canales has raved about Horn's playmaking abilities.
"Jimmy gives us a lot of options," Canales said. "There's some perimeter things we can do with him. The jet sweep game, but then also from his college film he's a receiver first and foremost. He can stretch the field. He can separate and he's got a lot of energy and passion."

Horn's draft stock was low due to injury in his senior season. He suffered a lower body injury, which kept him out for the final month of the season.

Horn was one of three former Colorado receivers drafted in April, including Heisman winner Travis Hunter (Jacksonville Jaguars) and wide receiver LaJohntay Wester (Baltimore Ravens). He'll try to be a regular option in the Panthers' future plans.

Let's get to the takeaways from Game 2: SECOND OT THE BETTER OT For the second straight Stanley Cup Final game, Florida carried a one-goal lead into the third period, and for the second straight game, Edmonton forced the game to overtime. In Game 2, the Panthers looked much better while trying to hold the lead, only allowing a goal in the final seconds on a great play and shot by Corey Perry. Advertisement Unfortunately, that goal gave Edmonton a jolt of energy that carried into the overtime, where they outshot the Panthers 13-8 and forced Sergei Bobrovsky to make several big saves. It was a different story in the second overtime, though, as Florida played much more sound defense while keeping possession and sustaining pressure. 'I didn't love our overtime,' Maurice said. 'We'll focus on that, and then, even the goal, I liked our second overtime period. I thought we were right there. They had some chances, we had chances, they're a really good team we're playing, and we're a really good team, but I didn't love that (first overtime), so that will be our place of growth here in the next couple of days.' FORSLING BACK TO FORM Gus Forsling is usually as steady as you can find on the blue line. Advertisement He had a rough night during Florida's Game 1 loss to the Oilers, but boy did he bounce back on Friday. While he didn't factor in on the scoresheet and actually finished with a minus-1 rating, Forsling made several elite plays with his stick to shut down high danger opportunities for Edmonton. His ability to stay with Connor McDavid on multiple rush opportunities, whether with his body or with his stick, was a critical piece of why Florida was able to get out of Edmonton with a win. 'He's one of the elite skating defensemen in the league, and most elite skating defensemen have a completely offensive bent,' said Panthers Head Coach Paul Maurice. 'If you skate that well as a young man, you're put into offensive situations, you become a power play guy. But he's has taken that skill and applied it to the defensive side of the game. To fully appreciate, you'd have to be down at ice level to see how fast Connor McDavid is and Leon Draisaitl, they've got a very fast team, but he excels in that game.' Advertisement BENNETT THE ROAD WARRIOR The Panthers are now 9-3 on the road during this postseason after their OT win in Game 2. A big part of that success has been Sam Bennett. On Friday, Bennett set a new NHL record for most road goals in a single playoff, netting his 12th away from Sunrise. He's now scored in five straight road games, racking up seven goals and nine points during those away contests. 'We've started and played most of our playoff lives this year on the road, and then there is no part of his game that changes home to road,' Maurice said of Bennett. 'He's not intimidated by anything. He's not a home performer, and he's not a match-up guy. He'll play against anybody.' Stanley Cup Final: Florida Panthers even up series after thrilling 2OT win against Edmonton Oilers
Brad Marchand had the potential game-winning goal for quite some time - when it was snatched away from him, he made up for it. The reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers evened up the final on Friday night with Marchand's double-overtime goal, giving the Cats a 5-4 win in Game 2 against the Edmonton Oilers. After scoring three goals during the first 12:37 of the game, Edmonton could no longer find the back of the net. In desperation mode and down 4-3, the Oilers pulled Stuart Skinner from the net with 2:33 left in regulation, which seemed early, but with the puck in the other zone on a faceoff, they could take advantage. And they did. With 17.8 seconds left, a puck was loose in front, and 40-year-old Corey Perry jammed it home to tie the game at four. After allowing a goal on three of his first seven shots faced, Sergei Bobrovsky stopped each of the next 24 before allowing the one that sent the contest into overtime. Both teams had their chances in overtime, especially the Panthers, who hit the post on one shot and had a breakaway saved, but both teams were blanked. With just over eight minutes into the second overtime period, Marchand did it again, squeaking one by Skinner on a breakaway and giving Florida a tremendous win. Much like Game 1, the scoring began early – this time with the Florida Panthers scoring first. Sam Bennett, who fought his own teammate Matthew Tkachuk's brother in the 4 Nations while teaming up with Edmonton's Connor McDavid, found the back of the net just two minutes into the game, but roughly five minutes later, Evander Kane scored an equalizer. Edmonton got on the power play and scored again, but Florida answered right back to tie the game at 2 at 11:37. During another power play, Leon Draisaitl scored to give the Oilers a 3-2 lead, capping off five goals in the game's first 13 minutes. While the Oilers' offense cooled off in the second, Florida's did not. Dmitry Kulikov tied it up 8:23 into the period, and Marchand gave Florida the lead with a short-handed goal four minutes later. The 4-3 Panthers lead held until Perry's miraculous goal late in the third. The hero in Marchand was a trade deadline acquisition, almost quite literally being traded from his former longtime Boston Bruins down south in the final minutes. The trade was worth it. Game 3 will take place Monday night back in Florida, which has hosted a Cup Final game for three consecutive years.
