The Glastonbury wellie trend loved by festival's best-dressed celebs

The final day of Glastonbury Festival is here, but the fashion statements are far from over. Yesterday, Worthy Farm was graced by numerous celebrities, with our best-dressed favourites all sporting one common accessory – ankle-length wellies. These Chelsea boot-inspired wellies were seen on everyone from Billie Piper and Lily James to Daisy Edgar-Jones at this year's Glastonbury, solidifying their status as a festival must-have. The popular choice appeared to be Barbour's Black Wilton Chelsea Wellington Boots, currently available for £55 at Next, or £54 on Amazon while stocks last. According to the Mirror, these ankle-length wellies strike the perfect balance between style and practicality. Unlike full-length wellies, which can cause overheating in high temperatures, an ankle-length pair offers comfort and coolness while still safeguarding your feet from mud. Plus, they're much easier to slip on and off when it's time to retire to your tent at the end of the day. Shop the look Barbour Wilton Chelsea Wellington Boots Glastonbury 2025's celeb-loved wellies - the Barbour Wilton Chelsea Wellington Boots - available for £55 from Next £55 Next Buy here The Chelsea Wellington Boots also effortlessly complement any outfit, functioning just like a regular pair of ankle boots. They can be easily paired with anything from midi skirts and mini dresses to a simple pair of shorts or jeans. Billie Piper opted to pair hers with an oversized green waterproof jacket and black micro shorts underneath, flaunting her bronzed legs while staying warm and dry. In contrast, Lily James chose sporty white drawstring shorts, a beige crop top and a quilted bomber jacket to complement her ankle-length wellies. (Image: Getty Images) Daisy Edgar-Jones traded the Barbour's version for a pair of Hunter Original Rubber Chelsea Boots, currently discounted from £145 to £58. One day, she channelled 00s Alexa Chung, pairing them with simple wide-leg denim shorts and a vintage-style satin camisole top. On another occasion, she chose a flowing white midi dress and a raffia shoulder bag, demonstrating the versatility of the wellies. (Image: Getty Images) The Barbour Chelsea Wellington Boots are available in four different colours including black, navy and olive green, while Hunter's Original Rubber Chelsea Boots come in either black or ivory. If you're looking to add a vibrant pop of colour with your wellies (it is festival season, after all), then the Bobbi Ankle Wellies from Merry People (£89.95) are perfect. They're available in a range of bright colours including yellow, bright pink, rust and burgundy, with a total of 16 different colours to choose from. While ankle-length wellies are clearly a popular choice for summer festivals, they're also quite handy for daily use. They can be worn for dog walks, family days out in the countryside, or simply to keep your feet dry during your winter commute. We'll certainly be adding a pair to our shoe collection.

Urgent warning to millions of holidaymakers to do quick check to avoid being hit with a shock bill

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MILLIONS of tourists are being warned to make a quick check before they go on holiday this year. Most of us will want to use our phones while abroad to keep in touch with loved ones, post on social media or find our way around a new city. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Check your phone contract before you jet off to avoid being hit with a big bill Credit: Getty But doing so could see you hit with a shock bill. Before Brexit you could use your data plan in Europe for free. But since Britain left the European Union many mobile phone providers have started to introduce charges to use your phone while on holiday. If your mobile phone contract does not include data roaming then you could be charged up to £6 per GB of data you use, according to price comparison website Uswitch. This could mean you find a big bill on your doorstep when you get home. But there is a quick check you can do to stop this from happening. Setting a roaming spending cap before you start using your data while abroad can help you avoid unexpected bills, recommends Ernest Doku, Uswitch mobiles expert. A data roaming spending cap allows you to limit how much you can use your phone outside of your normal plan. You can restrict how much you spend on roaming, picture messages and texts, which can stop you racking up extra charges. Most mobile phone providers give you this option, though in some cases you will need to set it up yourself. Avoid these common holiday booking mistakes for a stress-free vacation Some providers also set their own default cap, so you will need to check how yours works before you jet off. Ernest Doku explains: 'Many networks will apply additional charges if you go over your allowance or if you don't have roaming included, so setting up a spending cap ahead of your trip is a great way to avoid these.' You may need to set a spending cap even if you pay for a roaming bundle that allows you to use your phone while abroad. This is because most bundles will give you less data to use while away than your normal contract does. How to avoid roaming charges Simrat Sharma, a mobiles expert at Uswitch, said switching to an eSIM - short for embedded SIM - can be cheaper than using international roaming. 'eSIMs make it easier to change networks," she said. "So for example, if you're abroad you can quickly connect to the local network to pay local rates - without having to add or swap a physical local SIM card for your device. "This means travel eSIMs are almost always cheaper than using international roaming, as users are effectively tapping into the same network plans as locals. If you're regularly switching numbers or travelling to different locations, you'll be able to keep them all safely in digital format rather than carrying around a number of small cards. 'The software can easily be accessed via your device's app store and uploaded to your phone in a few quick steps." Even if your plan includes data roaming, you may also be able to use less internet on holiday. How do spending caps work? Once you have a spending cap in place you cannot spend more than the set limit. This means that if your cap is set at £50 a month then you will not be able to spend more than this sum on data roaming while you are abroad. You will usually get a notification when you are close to your limit, so you know that you need to reduce your data roaming. Once you reach your spending cap you will not be able to use your phone to search the internet, post on social media or use messaging apps. The level your spending cap is set at varies depending on your provider. For example, at BT Mobile the default data roaming cap is £35 a month but you can increase this limit if you choose. In comparison, Sky has a data roaming spend cap of £45 per month per SIM card. It is set automatically and resets every month. Three mobile also has a worldwide data roaming limit of £45 per SIM. How do I set one up? You can usually set up a cap via your provider's website or app. To register for a cap online you will need to log into your account and visit the spending cap tab. You can then choose your own spending cap and save it to your contract. Some providers will also let you set up a cap via text. For example, EE customers can text SPEND CAP to 150 to get one. It may take a few weeks to come into force, so you should check your contract now before you jet off on holiday. You can make changes to your spending cap and increase or decrease it later on. These changes may also take time to feed through. Ernest Doku said: 'If in doubt, contact your provider to talk about roaming caps and what your current deal will allow you to use, as well as how much this will cost.' Which mobile phone companies will let me use my phone for free? Several mobile phone companies will let you use your phone abroad for free. Asda Mobile will let you roam for free in 46 European countries. You do not need to contact it to say that you are going away. Simply carry on texting, using social media or streaming as you do at home. Keep an eye on how much data you are using. The first 5GB of roaming are free but after this you need to pay 10p per MB. Asda will let you know when you have used 80% and 100% of your data limit. GiffGaff contracts can be used in the EU and several other destinations at no extra charge. It has a cap of 5GB, after which it will cost you 10p per MB. If you have a pay-as-you-go contract then you will be charged at the usual UK rates. O2 is the only big network provider that has not brought back data roaming charges. If you are travelling to one of 40 destinations in its Europe Zone then you can call, text or use data as you would in the UK with no extra cost. You can use up to 25GB of data without a penalty. Meanwhile, Tesco Mobile customers can make texts, calls and internet searches at no extra cost in 48 destinations. Do you have a money problem that needs sorting? Glastonbury's best dressed celebs are all wearing one specific style of wellies

Glastonbury has set a new festival fashion trend this year, with celebs like Billie Piper and Lily James all spotted wearing the same pair of £55 ankle length wellies The final day of Glastonbury Festival is upon us but that doesn't mean the fashion looks are slowing down. Yesterday saw countless celebrities making an appearance at Worthy Farm, and all of our best-dressed favourites had one item in particular in common – a pair of ankle length wellies. The Chelsea boot-inspired wellies were spotted on the feet of everyone from Billie Piper and Lily James to Daisy Edgar-Jones at this year's Glastonbury, cementing them as a festival essential. The main pair of choice seemed to be Barbour's Black Wilton Chelsea Wellington Boots, which you can pick up for £55 at Next right now. The ankle length wellies are the perfect combination of stylish and functional. Unlike a full-length pair of wellies, which can make you way too warm when the temperatures are high, an ankle length pair lets you feel comfortable and cool whilst still protecting your feet from any mud. Not to mention they're much easier to pull on and off when you're ready to crawl into your tent at the end of the day. The Chelsea Wellington Boots are also easy to style with any outfit, working just the same as a regular pair of ankle boots. You can easily pair them with everything from midi skirts and mini dresses to a simple pair of shorts or jeans. Billie Piper chose to wear hers with an oversized green waterproof jacket and a pair of black micro shorts underneath, showing off her tanned legs whilst still being warm and dry. Lily James, on the other hand, opted for a pair of sporty white drawstring shorts, with a beige crop top and a quilted bomber jacket to go with her ankle length wellies. Daisy Edgar-Jones swapped the Barbour's version for a pair of Hunter Original Rubber Chelsea Boots, which are currently on sale down from £145 to £58. She channelled 00s Alexa Chung one day, teaming them with some simple wide leg denim shorts and a vintage-looking satin camisole top. Another day she opted for a flowing white midi dress and raffia shoulder bag, showing just how versatile the wellies are. The Barbour Chelsea Wellington Boots come in four different colour options including black, navy and olive green, whilst Hunter's Original Rubber Chelsea Boots are available in either black or ivory. If you want to bring a fun pop of colour with your wellies (it is festival season, after all) then these Bobbi Ankle Wellies from Merry People (£89.950 are ideal. They come in a whole host of bright colours including yellow, bright pink, rust and burgundy, with a grand total of 16 different colours to choose from. Although ankle length wellies are obviously a top pick for the summer's festivals, they're also pretty useful for your everyday life, too. You can wear them for walking the dog, for a day out in the country with family or even just to avoid soggy feet on your winter commute. We'll definitely be adding a pair to our footwear roster ASAP.
