Legendary Hollywood icon Robert De Niro, 81, takes his two-year-old daughter to meet The Wiggles
The Wiggles certainly have no shortage of fans across the globe, but even they were surprised this week when a Hollywood legend popped by to say 'hello'.
The iconic Australian children's group took to Instagram to share a backstage clip before a show in New York over the weekend.
While it was definitely The Wiggles' show, one guest took centre stage prior to the group wowing throngs of adoring fans.
Hollywood icon Robert De Niro looked absolutely chuffed to be meeting members Greg Page, Tsehay Hawkins, Simon Pryce, as well as the Dancing Tree Of Wisdom.
While he has previously admitted to being a fan of The Wiggles, doting dad De Niro used his star power to meet the Aussie icons and impress his youngest daughter Gia, two.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
De Niro shares his youngest child Gia with his professional martial artist girlfriend Tiffany Chen, 45, who was also in attendance.
While The Wiggles were obviously a bit starstruck about meeting the Hollywood legend, little Gia could only stare up at her skivvy-clad heroes in wonderment.
The family was even lucky enough to get an impromptu pre-show performance, with the Wiggles singing their song Rock-A-Bye Your Bear as De Niro watched on with a broad grin.
De Niro appeared genuinely appreciative of the meeting giving Greg Page a hearty hug after the performance.
Yellow Wiggle Tsehay Hawkins also shared a short clip of the auspicious meeting that was augmented with the iconic Godfather theme music.
The clips sent Wiggles fans into a frenzy, with many commenting on how humble De Niro appeared.
'I love that he reaches out to hug them all,' one fan offered, while another replied: 'I noticed that! And he shook everyone's hands. Seems like a genuinely nice man.'
'What an unforgettable experience! Spending time with Robert De Niro and his family must have been so special. A true legend,' another commented, summing up the sentiment of many.
Others were quick to point out just how happy the actor looked in the clip, with the likes of: 'Never seen Robert smile that much on anything.'
It comes after De Niro recently gave a rare insight into how he is finding parenting daughter Gia.
Speaking to Scott Mills on his BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show in February, the Taxi Driver star revealed he doesn't watch as many movies as he should because he often finds himself watching children's TV instead.
'I don't watch as many movies as I should, I try to watch films especially that I'm to,' he began.'
The Godfather star continued: 'I just wanna keep up, but I watch current events if you will news stuff like that. Now I watch with my little girl, The Wiggles and Ms Rachel.
Mills asked: 'Do you know about Bluey?'
'I'll look up, I'll look for them,' he replied.
The radio host added: 'Please will someone write this down because this might change your life in terms of attention span. Do you know what I'm saying? Bluey and Hey Duggee.
De Niro said: 'The Wiggles and Ms Rachel I didn't know of them until I started seeing them and my daughter loves to watch them… But they're great!'
Aside from Gia, De Niro also has six other other children: Drena, 56, and Raphael, 47 with his ex-wife Diahnne Abbott, Elliot, 25, and Helen, 12, with ex-wife Grace Hightower, and twins Aaron and Julian, 28, with former girlfriend, Toukie Smith.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight last month, De Niro also revealed what he thought was the most important rule of parenting.
'As long as they're not hurting themselves, doing anything destructive or anything like that, you have to support them — period.'
The A Bronx Tale star added, 'Even if you don't go with it or think that they… you have to support them. And they have to know that you support them. Always.'

RFK Jr. shares what brings Trump to tears in Tucker Carlson interview
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. revealed that the music of Luciano Pavarotti can bring President Donald Trump to tears in a wide-ranging interview with Tucker Carlson. The Health and Human Services Secretary was talking about his transition from being a registered Democrat to working in the Republican administration and what surprised him about working with Trump. While he qualified that Trump 'sometimes validates' the views of his enemies of being a 'bombastic narcissist,' that people are missing out on what a three-dimensional character he is. 'He cries when he hears Pavarotti,' Kennedy revealed, furthering the look into Trump's love of music by saying the opera singer moves the president. He's encyclopedic in certain areas you wouldn't expect like music and you know, he gets very emotional about music,' he added. Kennedy noted that he has also seen Trump as completely different from who he is painted as by his former party. 'Narcissists are incapable of empathy and he's one of the most empathetic people that I've met... I think he's really the uniquely right person for the country,' Kennedy said. There were still members of the Trump Cabinet that Kennedy had many profound disagreements with, but Secretary of State Marco Rubio has impressed him in particular. He even described the former Florida Senator as, 'the funniest guy in the Cabinet.' 'He says things that make people belly laugh every Cabinet meeting and he's, you know, I always, I never was very, let's say approving of Marco because he was kind of a neocon warhawk,' Kennedy said. 'But now he's had this incredible transformation, and you know, I think he's very aligned with me on most issues. On Ukraine, you know, and just the fact that we should not be the policeman of the world anymore,' he added. When asked about other members of the Cabinet, he notes that his Hollywood actress wife Cheryl Hines 'loves' Attorney General Pam Bondi and that he also gets along with her. Kennedy also pitched Carlson on 'Truth Commissions' that could allow people negatively impacted by the COVID-19 vaccine to have a platform that could see Anthony Fauci prosecuted. The secretary most recently made waves during a House hearing where he said he wants to fit all Americans with a tracking device within the next four years. He said the technology could help people lose weight and exercise more regularly, as well as, 'take control of their health' and encourage 'good judgements about their diets, about their physical activity, about the way that they live their lives'. In an effort to get a smartwatch, ring or monitor on every American, RFK Jr said he is planning to launch 'one of the biggest' advertising campaigns in history to encourage more people to wear the devices — which range from $99 to nearly $800. The health secretary said officials were 'exploring' how the government could pay for the devices for some Americans. It is the latest proposal in his Make America Healthy Again mission and comes amid his vow to find the cause of - and solve - the rising rates of cancer, chronic disease and autism in young people. But some commentators called the move unusual for the health secretary, who has previously railed against a 'surveillance state'. RFK Jr revealed his plans to the Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee yesterday, saying: 'We think that wearables are a key to the MAHA agenda, Making America Healthy Again. It's a way people can take control over their own health... they can see what food is doing to their glucose levels, their heart rates and a number of other metrics as they eat. And they can begin to make good judgements about their diet, about their physical activity, about the way that they live their lives.'

Mariah Carey flaunts her enviable curves in a glittering mesh gown as she teases her upcoming album at Apple Music 10th anniversary bash
Mariah Carey put on a show-stopping display as she arrived at the Apple Music 10th anniversary celebration in California on Monday night. The music legend, 56, ensured all eyes were on her in a high-neck black mesh gown covered from head-to-toe in shimmering sequins. The semi-sheer number left her fitted bodysuit on full display underneath, which showcased her incredible figure and ample cleavage. Boosting her height with platform heels, Mariah looked younger than ever, with her radiant and taut appearance. She beamed as she posed alongside the vice president of Apple Music, Oliver Schusser and music executive Larry Jackson at the glitzy bash. While the hitmaker then sat down with DJs Ebro Darden and Zane Lowe to chat in front of an audience, where she teased her upcoming sixteenth studio album. It marks her first LP in eight years and first since partnering with new music company Gamma for her comeback, after leaving label Epic Records, who released her last album Caution in 2018. Last month, Mariah released the lead single, Type Dangerous, which debuted at number 95 on the Billboard Hot 100. Chatting to Zane and Ebro, she teased: 'What is next? Well it's the album coming out! I don't want tell too much about it because I just don't want to reveal the whole thing.' However, the All I Want For Christmas star confirmed that the album was finished and would be made up of '11 or 12 songs', before adding: 'We got some Mariah ballads' to cheers from the crowd. She continued: 'Second single is coming soon, I've very excited about it. It's very summery, I like the beat as well'. According to Forbes, the songstress, who has 19 number one singles, is aiming to get her 20th chart topper with Type Dangerous. 'She's fighting to stay contemporary,' her longtime producer LA Reid told the publication. And it appears her name still carries much weight in the music industry, after it was reported that fellow superstar Beyoncé 'bowed down' to Mariah and moved out a £25k-a-night penthouse for her. The singer, 43, had booked a 12-night stay at the Corinthia while performing at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month. However, she reportedly moved out when self-confessed diva Mariah touched down in London, to play at Capital's Summertime Ball. A source told The Sun: 'Superstars as big as Beyoncé and Mariah want to stay in only the best hotels. Beyoncé had been staying in Corinthia's penthouses. 'But when Mariah flew in, Beyoncé packed up so Mariah could take over her suites. It was like Beyoncé was bowing down to another music queen.' And Mariah continued to live up to her diva name at the Summertime Ball, after her extravagant backstage demands were revealed. She took to the stage at Wembley Stadium alongside the likes of Rita Ora and Will Smith for what was her first UK show in a whopping six years. And speaking on the red carpet, Capital Radio's Sian Welby admitted that Mariah was living up to her reputation as she revealed the singer had 'totally changed' her dressing room ahead of her performance. She told The Sun: 'We will do what we're told. When it comes to Mariah, she is the boss. 'She's changed the whole dressing room to just be called Mimi's World. Doesn't even have Capital branding anymore. It's all her zone'. While in comparison, co-host Chris Stark added: 'Will Smith by the way is the most chilled, like he's just wandering around. He was in catering, he just went and sat himself down and got himself some food'. Last year MailOnline revealed how Mariah had been on extra diva form during her Christmas Time tour, according to sources who claimed she was 'being so extra.' Members of production were been 'asked not to speak or take photos with her' - while the star reportedly decreed that she would not embark on the tour with any 'unattractive dancers.' 'Mariah is just being so extra this year,' an insider told 'She is getting paid an insane amount of money. Rehearsals started at the end of September as she wants it to be the grandest tour yet. 'One of her requests was that her main backup dancers are all "hot" men. She did not want any unattractive dancers.' Elsewhere, the star made it clear that she doesn't care about costs after demanding a full glam squad for early rehearsals. The insider continued: 'She also requested hair and makeup for the rehearsals. Everyone who is directly involved in the production has been asked not to speak to Mariah or take photos with her.' Mariah closed the ball, and kicked off her setlist with her 1995 hit Fantasy, before Emotions and Hero. The diva then serenaded the crowd with Always Be My Baby as well as Type Dangerous, Touch My Body and It's Like That. The talented singer brought the Summertime Ball to a close with her 2005 single We Belong Together. Reacting to her live performance, Mariah was showered in praise by fans who claimed it was her 'best vocals in years'. Taking to social media, one concert-goer said: 'Mariah at the #SummerTimeBall - best live vocals from her in years…and hit after hit after hit. Bring on Brighton Pride.' A second posted: 'Mariah killed it at the #Summertimeball looking and sounding incredible.'
