A Houston man died Thursday in a fatal car crash in Nolan County, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety media release.
Cesar Josevan Espinosa Manso, 25, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash, and next of kin was notified Thursday afternoon.
According to the DPS preliminary investigation, the crash occurred around 8:15 a.m. Manso was traveling southeast on State Highway 153 in a 2017 Peterbilt towing a semi-trailer.
The second vehicle — a 2020 Kenworth dump truck driven by 60-year-old Todd Gregory Bollinger of Roscoe — was towing a semi-trailer and entered the highway from County Road 196.
Bollinger pulled in front of Manso's vehicle, according to the DPS investigation detailed in the media release. Manso failed to control his speed and struck the rear of Bollinger's towed vehicle.
As a result, Manso's vehicle overturned into the west borrow ditch, and Bollinger's vehicle jackknifed in the center of the highway.
According to the release, the weather was dense fog, and the crash occurred in a 65 mph construction zone.

Texas authorities have identified a New Mexico woman who was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Gaines County. Miranda Mariah Greene, a 31-year-old from Artesia, New Mexico, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that was reported around 7:30 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Highway 62 near County Road 213 in Gaines County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Investigators believe Greene was driving a 2019 Kia Forte east in the left lane of U.S. 62 when she crashed into the back of a 2012 Peterbilt and trailer that were also eastbound in the left lane of U.S. 62. The tractor-trailer was attempting to make a left turn onto CR 213. The DPS cited the Kia driver's failure to control speed as a factor in the crash. Fatal head-on crash involving 18-wheeler claims life of Odessa driver

ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- A 45-year-old Odessa man was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Friday morning on Loop 338. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at around 4:20 a.m. on June 6 at the intersection of Loop 338 and US Highway 385, just outside Odessa city limits. Preliminary details from DPS investigators indicate that a 2023 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Raymund Gabriel Rodriguez of Odessa, was traveling eastbound on Loop 338 when, for unknown reasons, it veered into the westbound lane. The Equinox then collided head-on with a 2016 Freightliner Cascade pulling a trailer. Rodriguez was wearing a seatbelt but was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi, 46-year-old Michael Gonzalez Diaz of Miami, Florida, was not injured. The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details have been released.
