Body of fisherman found off Oregon Inlet, boat and dog still missing

OUTER BANKS, N.C. (WAVY) — A Kill Devil Hill fisherman's body was found after he was reported overdue on Wednesday.
A man and his dog went out fishing at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center on Wednesday morning between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. He did not return home that evening and was reported overdue to the United States Coast Guard.
The following morning, a local fisherman reported to the marine fisheries that a body had been found two-and-a-half miles off Oregon Inlet. The body was identified as 49-year-old Carlson 'BJ' Johnson.
Johnson was in a 19-foot Maycraft boat, which is a recreational fishing boat. His dog nor the vessel has been found.
