Harry Styles spotted dancing up a storm at London music festival
Harry Styles is not missing out on this year's selection of incredible music festival headliners, even if he's not back on stage just yet.
The As It Was hitmaker, 31, has been taking time away from the recording studio after the success of his Love On Tour in 2023.
His last on-stage performance was in July last year, making a surprise appearance to duet with headliner Stevie Nicks at BST Hyde Park.
On Saturday, he dipped his toe back into the music world and headed to Victoria Park to watch Jamie XX perform at Lido Festival.
Possibly, he was warming up his dancing shoes ahead of a secret set at Worthy Farm — or just heading to the festival for fun.
Fans won't know until Glastonbury kicks off in three weeks, but Harry looked incredibly happy dancing the night away with friends at Lido.
Somehow, the star had managed to get himself right to the barricade without anyone noticing.
The One Direction heartthrob rocked a low-key look including a blue cap, a windbreaker and a jumper to protect against the rainy London weather.
Dancing in the busy crowd appeared to get Harry a little hot and sweaty as he ditched his jumper to reveal a grey t-shirt with a smiley face on it.
While the Watermelon Sugar singer is known for his bold on-stage looks, however, he keeps his street style far less flamboyant (other than the short shorts).
Lido Festival was packed for Jamie XX's headlining slot, which was supported by acts such as Sampha, Romy, Skrillex and Nia Archives.
Fans were loving Harry's gig-going antics on social media with Moondancerry writing on X: I love that Harry Styles is just living his best life during this break and we get these small glimpses into that🥹.'
His break has included a baffling side quest to the Vatican City when he was spotted in the crowd waiting for smoke to confirm the new Pope.
On May 8, the papal conclave in the Vatican chose the new Pope, and white smoke began billowing out of the Sistine Chapel.
A bell marked the election of Robert Francis Prevost as the new Pope, who will be known as Pope Leo XIV.
Another side quest saw Harry speedily run the Tokyo marathon, placing 6010 out of approximately 38,000. More Trending
Mainly, he has been seen around London, where he owns a house, catching up with friends and soaking up the sun in some very tiny shorts.
As for Lido Festival, the gigs continue across the next month with sets from Turnstile, London Grammar, and the Brat icon herself Charli XCX.
Charli is dominating festival season along with Chappell Roan as both pop icons take over Primavera Sound with Sabrina Carpenter.
The Apple hitmaker will head to Worthy Farm later this month while Chappell plays Sziget Festival as well as Reading and Leeds in August.

10pm is the new 7: restaurants open late as Londoners stay out
If New York is the city that never sleeps, London is the city that likes to go to bed early. Restrictive licensing laws, residents' eagerness to file noise complaints, staffing issues, high rents and a cost of living crisis have combined to leave the capital with a sedate late-night offering. But as pubs close earlier and there are fewer dancefloors on which to shake your hips, another gathering place is emerging for those wanting to kick back into the wee hours — the restaurant table. Central London is far from the 24-hour party envisaged by Sir Sadiq Khan, the mayor, and the 7pm to 8pm reservations window remains the most coveted, but upmarket restaurants are offering later booking slots as demand rises. Mountain in Soho, described as the 'most exciting restaurant this year' in a 2023 Times review, has pushed back its last reservation slot to 10.30pm. Tomos Parry, the owner, who also founded Brat in Shoreditch, said he was encouraged by the green shoots of a late-night dining revival. 'It's not back to those massive numbers and super-late night dining of the 1990s and 2000s but it is certainly starting to come back,' he said. 'II would love late-night dining to come back much stronger.' • How to eat out at expensive restaurants on a budget Parry said that the demand was driven partly by the return of a post-theatre dining crowd. Tourists staying at the growing crop of city-centre hotels and keen to try the city's most-hyped restaurants were also more willing to take slots after 9pm. Speedboat Bar, a thriving restaurant styled on a Thai sports bar, also accepts bookings at 10.30pm. On Friday and Saturday, it offers a late-night food menu from 11pm to 12.30am. At the recently-opened Noodle and Beer in Chinatown, tables can be reserved until 1.45am on Saturdays. At the Dover, a New York-styled Italian restaurant, guests can book a table until 11.30pm from Thursday to Saturday, when it will be between 80 and 90 per cent full. Jeremy King, one of Britain's most respected restaurateurs, who founded The Wolseley, The Delaunay, The Ivy and Le Caprice, called last month for a return to 1980s excess. • Giles Coren: my top 10 London restaurants if money were no object Recalling how, when he started in hospitality in the 1970s, last orders were often taken at 1am, King said: 'Now, it's almost impossible to get anything [to eat] after 10pm. I don't fully understand why it happened but I'm determined to redress the situation.' King has begun offering a 25 per cent discount for those who dine after 9.45pm at his restaurants, Arlington and The Park. 'I want to encourage people to rediscover the fun of late-night dining,' he told the Sunday Times. The shift towards earlier dining in London's restaurants was hastened by the Covid-19 pandemic, which upended the hospitality sector and changed dining habits to such an extent that the efforts of King and others may be futile. Healthy lifestyle choices are leading diners to prioritise sleep over late-night indulgence and flexible working has helped make 6pm — before the evening rush — an increasingly desirable slot. Earlier reservations are popular with parents and a younger crowd who often drink less and may not bookend meals with drinks elsewhere. In May, online booking site OpenTable reported a 6 per cent increase from January for tables between 4pm and 6pm across Britain. Leading restaurants have embraced the change to get people through the doors earlier. At Portland, a Michelin star restaurant in Fitzrovia, those who book between 5.30pm and 6.30pm are offered a special menu at £55, rather than its normal £110-per-head tasting menu.

More info Lewis Capaldi fans are rejoicing after rumours have began to circulate that the West Lothian crooner could make a return to Glastonbury Festival. The news comes two years after the talented musician struggled to perform in front of thousands of adoring supporters at the iconic music event. The Scot is believed to be taking the 'Secret Set' slot on the Friday night of Glastonbury. The Forget Me chanter is believed to be taking to the Pyramid Stage at the iconic music event after Alanis Morrisette, reports the Daily Mail. It comes after the 28-year-old was forced to apologise to fans throughout his 2023 Glastonbury set as he battled with flailing vocals and a fading voice. Capaldi looked visibly frustrated throughout the performance as he made an emotional admission to the crowd. It later came to light that Lewis had experienced an attack of Tourette's Syndrome on stage. The Bruises hitmaker had previously taken time off in the lead-up to the festival to focus on his mental health and told fans on stage he would likely be taking another extended break following the performance, the Daily Record reports. Join Edinburgh Live's Whatsapp Community here and get the latest news sentstraight to your messages. "Look I'm really sorry before we go any further, because this is a pain in the a***," he said. "You've all come out and I'm apologising that my voice is f***ing packing in. Glastonbury I'm really sorry, I'm a bit annoyed with myself here. "I recently took three weeks off, just because I've been non-stop since the start of the year and wanted a break for my head and my mental health. I wanted to come back and do Glastonbury because it's so incredible and I just want to thank you all for coming out. "I was scared but you really made me feel at ease. I'm really sorry, I hope they will let me back on even though it's been a sh**show. "I feel like I'll be taking another break over the next few weeks so you probably won't see me for the rest of the year. But when I do come back and I do see you I hope you're up for watching." In a touching show of unity and support, the crowd sang Lewis' hit Someone You Loved back to him, nearly moving him to tears. Music-lovers also buoyed him up by chanting "Oh Lewis Capaldi". Lewis vanished from the spotlight to adjust to the impact of his Tourette's, saying that it "became obvious" during his Glastonbury set "that he needed to spend much more time getting his mental and physical health in order". "I [need to do this] so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come," he added at the time. "Playing for you every night is all I've ever dreamed of, so this has been the most difficult decision of my life. "I'll be back as soon as I possibly can." Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder that often causes sudden unwanted and uncontrolled rapid and repeated movements or vocal sounds called tics, at times making it difficult for people to speak. In May, the Glasgow-born musician made a shock appearance at Edinburgh's Assembly Rooms. He graced the stage as part of Tom Walker's headlining gig, in a low-key appearance which took everyone by surprise. And back in March, singer Yungblud excitedly talked up Capaldi's pending return to music, remarking: "I have heard his new music and it sounds great. He is getting his mental health right. I love him. We've been on this ride together." Lewis Capaldi's management and Glastonbury Festival have been contacted for comment.

Sir was seen for the first time since being left 'devastated' after cancelling six shows due to ill health while stepping out in Beverly Hills, just weeks ahead of his planned Glastonbury performance. The Maggie May hitmaker, 80, was supported by daughter Kimberly, 45, and lookalike son Sean, 44, as they headed for dinner at swanky restaurant Matsuhisa. Rod, who put on a brave face and flashed a smile despite still recovering from flu, wore a black velvet jacket with gold trim which he teamed with jeans and a white shirt. Shielding his eyes behind shades the rocker accessorised with a quirky necklace as he arrived in a chauffeur-driven car. Meanwhile Kimberly, who is expecting her child, showcased her blossoming bump in a black mini dress which she wore with a chic blazer and boots. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Although she has not revealed the identify of her baby-to-be's father, the model already shares a 13-year-old daughter, named Delilah, with her ex Benicio Del Toro. Her brother Sean, 44, cut a causal figure in a white T-shirt as the siblings were on hand to support their beloved father amid his health woes. Rod shares eight children with five mothers. He is a father to four daughters Sarah, 61, Kimberly, Ruby, 37, and Renee, 33 and four sons Sean, Liam, 30, and Alastair Wallace, 19, and Aiden Patrick, 14, whom he shares with wife Penny. It comes after the iconinc singer took to Instagram to announce he'd been forced to cancel another six US shows after already axing two gigs in Las Vegas earlier this week on doctor's orders. He wrote in a statement: 'I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu,' 'So sorry my friends. I'm devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I'll be back on stage and will see you soon.' He also listed the four shows he was cancelling in Las Vegas and Stateline, Nevada, as well as two he plans to reschedule in California. On Thursday Sir Rod was due to take to the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, only to cancel the show 24-hours before .The hitmaker hasn't as of yet confirmed a new date. Posting an Instagram statement on Wednesday, he wrote: 'I'm awfully sorry to have to cancel my show June 5th at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. 'My doctor ordered a bit more rest while I recover from the flu. Thanks for your love and understanding.' Rod was also forced to reschedule his residency gig days earlier on Monday, with a new date set for June 10. He said in a social media statement: 'I am sorry to inform you that I'm not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10. Your tickets will be valid for the new date.' The latest set back comes just weeks of the crooner's planned Sunday afternoon legends slot at Glastonbury Festival in Somerset on June 29. He was put on vocal rest amid his mammoth One Last Time Tour, and last month seen with a sign around his neck informing anyone he came into contact with that he could not speak after his concert at Milan's Unipol Forum. It read: 'Sorry. Cannot talk. Having vocal rest.' He returned to the stage at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal, three days later on May 13. The music veteran will be done with 'large-scale world tours' once he finishes this year's shows in Europe and North America. However, he has no plans to retire. The 'You Wear It Well' singer wrote on Instagram: 'This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire. 'I love what I do, and I do what I love. 'I'm fit, have a full head of hair, and can run 100 metres in 18 seconds at the jolly old age of 79. 'I'd like to move onto a Great American Songbook, Swing Fever tour the year after next – smaller venues and more intimacy. But then again, I may not...' It comes as Sir Rod is planning a mini-reunion with his band Faces when he takes to the stage at Glastonbury. Ronnie Wood, who is a close friend of the Hot Legs hitmaker and performed alongside him in the 70s, is heading to Worthy Farm for a performance. Rod himself shared the news during an interview on The Peter Crouch podcast, after he was asked whether he's kept in touch with the Rolling Stones or Sir Elton John. He replied: 'Not really, but Woody and I do a lot just recently because we are going to do Glastonbury together.' Rod was also forced to reschedule his residency gig days earlier on Monday, with a new date set for June 10 When asked why they lost touch, Rod said it was because Ronnie and Elton had quit booze, saying: 'I think they stay away from me.' Rod was tight-lipped when asked whether Faces drummer Kenney Jones will be joining them on-stage. However, the music legend confirmed in November that he had reunited with his Faces bandmates for a new album. Speaking on the Soccer A-Z podcast, Rod said: 'I'm meeting up with the last two members of the Faces tomorrow, and we're working on a documentary, because next year will be our 50th anniversary, or 60s. 'I don't know what it is, but when the faces were together, and we're trying to put out an album. So I shall be with Mr. Woods and Mr. Jones.' Rod and Ronnie have been friends since 1969 when they were both members of rock group Faces. Although the band parted ways in 1975, the pair kept in touch, with Rod serving as best man to Ronnie's wedding to Sally in 2012.
