
Total of seven people now charged in connection to Victoria Ave homicide
A total of seven people have now been arrested and charged in connection to a homicide that took place in Regina on April 24.
Officers were called to the scene on the 800 block of Victoria Avenue at around 5:30 a.m. They found an injured man who was declared dead a short time later.
Three suspects have already been arrested and face charges including first degree murder.
According to a news release from the Regina Police Service (RPS) on Tuesday, 19-year-old Priscilla Irene Cyr was arrested just after 5 a.m.
She has been charged with first degree murder and failure to comply with disposition after a warrant was issued for her arrest, making her the fourth suspect charged with murder.
Additionally, three more suspects have been arrested and charged in connection to the death, police say.
Leslie Ann Thorne, 28, was charged with forcible confinement, Miranda Kay Jasmine Pasqua, 37, was charged with obstructing a peace officer and accessory after the fact to murder, and Amanda Rae Twardy, 37, was charged with accessory after the fact to murder and breaching a conditional sentence order.
Cyr will make her first court appearance on Wednesday morning. Pasqua and Thorne made their first appearances on Friday, April 25 – while Twardy made her first court appearance on Wednesday, April 30, according to police.
The identity of the deceased has not been publicly disclosed at the request of the victim's family.
The death marks Regina's 3rd homicide of 2025.

Dog food thief sought: STPS

Hanover hit-and-run suspect vehicle found burnt: HPS
Hanover police have recovered the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run earlier in the week. Police recovered a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser. Officers said it was destroyed by fire in a bush lot on Sideroad 25 just north of Morry's Trailer Sales, in the former Brant Township. The Hanover Police Service is asking anyone who saw the smoke, the vehicle, or anyone in the area on Wednesday evening around 5:20 p.m., shortly after the collision. Video surveillance is also wanted. You are asked to look for the PT Cruiser from Concession 4 to Morry's Trailer Sales on Sideroad 25 between 5:25 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. in your footage. The suspect is described as a white man in his early 30s, wearing a dark coloured baseball hat and was picked up by a vehicle on Bruce Road 4 near Davis Hill Nursery in the same timeframe. Anyone who saw the suspect is also asked to contact police. The registered owner of the involved car has been interviewed and is cooperating with the investigation. 'Although this person was the registered owner, they have never had care and control of this PT Cruiser since it was purchased,' police confirmed. Officers are thanking the public for their help with this investigation. The driver is encouraged to surrender to Hanover Police. Police added if anyone is helping the suspect in anyway, could be prosecuted criminally.

Winnipeg police arrest five people after gun pointed at passing cars

On June 12 just after 8:30 a.m., police said a man was seen pointing a handgun at passing cars near Burrows Avenue and McKenzie Street. He then ran inside a private residence in the 600 block of Alfred Avenue, according to police. Patrol officers along with the tactical support team and the remotely piloted aircraft systems unit found five people within the residence, who were safely arrested. A search warrant was executed, and with help from the firearms investigation and enforcement unit, a 12-gauge shotgun, a pellet gun, 'a large quantity of ammunition,' 'various firearms components,' and body armour were seized. Police said three of the arrested individuals were held in custody, who have all been charged with multiple firearms-related offences. A 35-year-old man and 36-year-old woman were also charged with firearms offences and were released on undertakings.
