Woman killed in Sunday shooting was pregnant, Wichita police say; man arrested
Police have identified a 20-year-old woman who died Sunday morning after a shooting in central Wichita.
Naomi Oglesby, of Wichita, who was pregnant, died at the hospital shortly after 5 a.m. Doctors were able to deliver her infant, who is currently receiving care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital, according to a Wichita police news release.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, police said. Oglesby and the man knew each other, WPD spokesperson Rick Pena said in an email.
Police were called at 4:28 a.m. to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of South Laura, near Kellogg and Washington. They found Oglesby, who had been shot. She was taken to a local hospital where she died, Pena added.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office seeks suspect involved in the injury of a Narcotics Detective
ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. () — The is searching for Justin Miller for his alleged involvement in the injury of a Detective. According to authorities, on the afternoon of May 29, Narcotics Detectives with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office were conducting operations just north of Sunset. They said Miller was in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Dollar General Market on LA 182. Narcotics investigation leads to St. Landry Parish Deputy being struck by suspect's vehicle Officials said when detectives approached Miller in his car, he drove off, striking one of the detectives. Miller then sped away, leading deputies on a pursuit in a residential area. All of this was done with four juveniles in the vehicle, one of them autistic. Police name 14-year-old boy killed in alleged road rage incident at Spruce and Solano
Las Cruces police identified the teenager who died on June 2 after an alleged road rage incident near the intersection of Solano Drive and Spruce Avenue.
