Brit Awards receive 825 complaints as pop stars' skimpy outfits rile viewers
OFCOM has received 825 complaints about the 2025 BRIT Awards, mainly focused on Sabrina Carpenter 's and Charli XCX 's attire.
Carpenter's pre-watershed performance involved a revealing bra-and-shorts outfit and raunchy moves performed with back-up dancers dressed as the King's Guard.
Charli XCX 's sheer dress also drew criticism, which she addressed during her acceptance speech, saying 'I feel like we're in the era of 'free the nipple'.'
OFCOM is reviewing the complaints to determine if an investigation is warranted.
Carpenter later acknowledged the controversy on social media, writing 'Brits I now know what watershed is!!!!'
