Purdue Boilermakers Football Preview 2025: Prediction, Win Total, Top 10 Players, Keys to the Season
2025 Purdue PreviewPurdue Offense BreakdownPurdue Defense Breakdown
Purdue Boilermakers Key to the Season
Get the passing game to work. The defense will be far, far better, but it still won't be the 1985 Chicago Bears. Being slightly improved still won't be enough, and the offense will have to keep up.Last year's Purdue attack only threw for more than 220 yards four times, and all four times it went for 290 or more. Out of those four games, two went to overtime, one was the paycheck win over Indiana State, and the other was a good battle with Michigan State.
Purdue Boilermakers Key Player
TJ Lindsey, DT RFr.And Jamarrion Harkless, and Marcus Moore, and Ian Jeffries, and all of the Purdue defensive tackles. Last year's crew wasn't awful, but everyone who wanted to hammer away with the ground game against this bunch, did.Lindsey is a 6-3, 295-pound former good recruit for Auburn, but he only saw a little bit of time last year. The talent and upside are there, and the sooner he becomes the program's defensive anchor - if he's able to get there - the better.
Purdue Boilermakers Top Transfer, Biggest Transfer Loss
Top Transfer In: CJ Nunnally IV, EDGE Sr.No, he's not the most talented player coming in, and other more important defenders need to step up, but no Purdue transfer has the proven production.Nunnally was steady in his two seasons at Akron - he was fine against Ohio State, South Carolina, and Rutgers, along with his play in the MAC - making 121 tackles with 13 sacks and 26 tackles for loss.
Top Transfer Out: Dillon Thieneman, S Jr.Thieneman is one of the best players in college football who hasn't achieved a national spotlight, making 210 tackles, six picks - all the interceptions as a freshman - with nine broken up passes and seven tackles for loss. He'll be an All-Big Ten performer again, but now he'll be that at Oregon.
Purdue Boilermakers Key Game
Rutgers, Oct. 25Purdue should beat Ball State and Southern Illinois to get to 2-0, and every game the rest of the way will be a problem. Unlike last year, Purdue will be on the right side of the close games, but there won't be a ton of them.By the end of October, Purdue should be as jelled as they're going to be. With at Michigan, Ohio State, and at Washington to follow, this has to be a W.- 2025 Purdue Schedule Breakdown
Purdue Boilermakers Top 10 Players

Purdue Boilermakers 2025 Season Prediction, Win Total, What Will Happen
Be kind to us on this.Purdue is starting from near-scratch, and while the team will be better, this is all based on trying to figure out how all the puzzle pieces will be put together.Again, this will be a stronger, more talented team. The starting 22 is better, the coaching is better, and the schedule is …Yikes.
Put Purdue in the ACC or Big 12, and under Barry Odom, it's probably pushing for a bowl game. With a schedule that includes all four schools that were in the last two CFP National Championships. That, along with improved Minnesota, USC, and Illinois teams, and with a date against a Rutgers squad that will be the best yet under Greg Schiano, it'll be a fight each week after starting with wins over Ball State and Southern Illinois.
Set The Purdue Boilermakers Win Total At … 4Likely Wins: Ball State, Southern Illinois50/50 Games: Indiana, at Minnesota, at Northwestern, RutgersLikely Losses: Illinois, at Michigan, at Notre Dame, Ohio State, USC, at Washington2025 Purdue PreviewPurdue Offense BreakdownPurdue Defense Breakdown

Taylor Swift's New Selfie With Travis Kelce Is Turning Heads
Taylor Swift's New Selfie With Travis Kelce Is Turning Heads originally appeared on Athlon Sports. While there has been a lot of talk about a highly anticipated wedding between Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, there has been no official confirmation from the couple as to where they currently stand in their nearly two-year relationship. Swift and Kelce were spotted attending a wedding on Friday, though it was not theirs. While the complete details of their recent public appearance have yet to surface, initial reports have indicated that the couple took part in Kelce's cousin's wedding ceremony. Several photos and videos of the two have been circulating online, including an adorable selfie that appears to have been taken by Swift herself. The photo, which features Swift with a big smile on her face and Kelce busting out the customary peace sign, quickly drew the attention of fans on social media. "That's a stunning pair at the wedding!" a comment on X read. "Omg what a perfect wedding guest selfie!!! 😍" another said. "She's Gorgeous omg!!" a supporter wrote. "She's literally glowing. Girlie is so happy," observed a fan. "DID WE JUST GET A SELFIE TAKEN BY TALOR? 😭😭❤️" said another. "Omg omg omg so so cute!!!!!" reacted a user. It looks like the couple had a great time at the ceremony, and this photo serves as proof of the same. Swift and Kelce, though, will need to spend some time apart soon. The All-Pro tight end is expected to join the Chiefs for their mandatory minicamp scheduled on June 17-19. Kelce is determined to make the most of what could be his final NFL season, and the 35-year-old has been and will continue to work hard behind the scenes to do everything he can to get himself ready for a big year story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 7, 2025, where it first appeared.

Angel Reese's Former Teammate Sets WNBA Ablaze On Friday
Angel Reese's Former Teammate Sets WNBA Ablaze On Friday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Despite the issues Marina Mabrey has had with both the Chicago Sky and the Connecticut Sun, she showed on Friday that she can be an impactful player when she gets it going. Advertisement Mabrey had a sensational game for the Sun in their thrilling 84-76 win over the Atlanta Dream on Friday, exploding for 34 points on 13-of-22 shooting. The 28-year-old guard also went 3-of-8 from deep and had four assists and four rebounds to give the Sun their second win of the season. Atlanta, a team that had only lost twice entering the contest and was riding a four-game winning streak, just couldn't find a way to stop Mabrey. The former Notre Dame standout was particularly incredible in the third quarter, during which she scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting — preventing Atlanta from pulling away. It's certainly an interesting turn for Marina Mabrey, who recently played one of the worst games in WNBA history. Advertisement In the Sun's loss to the New York Liberty last Sunday, she had eight points on 2-of-11 shooting and finished with a -55 plus-minus rating — the lowest plus-minus rating in a single game in the league ever. It is worth noting, though, that the Sun's only wins so far this 2025 season came in games when Mabrey scored more than 25 points. Their other victory was an 85-83 win over the Indiana Fever where Mabrey dropped 26 points. Mabrey was previously part of the Chicago Sky from 2023 to 2024. She played alongside All-Star forward Angel Reese last campaign, but she didn't finish the season with the Windy City franchise after requesting a trade. Chicago sent Mabrey to the Sun, getting Rachel Banham and Moriah Jefferson in return, per ESPN. The Sky also received a 2025 second-round pick and the rights to swap first-round picks with Connecticut in 2026. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese and guard Marina Mabrey interact during a Jairaj-Imagn Images However, despite thriving with the Sun, Mabrey asked for a trade once again after the team lost head coach Stephanie White and several of its starters in the 2025 offseason. The team, nonetheless, denied her request. Advertisement Now, by the looks of it, Mabrey has become an integral part of the Sun roster. Penn State's latest European import brings needed versatility to basketball roster
Penn State's latest European import brings needed versatility to basketball roster Penn State adds versatile European import to basketball roster Penn State men's basketball head coach Mike Rhoades has been busy trying to fill out his roster for the upcoming college basketball season. On Friday, he officially added a European import with the signing of Melih Tunca from Turkey. Tunca is a six-foot guard who is regarded as one of the top professional players in Turkey. He is coming off a 2024-25 season in which he was named the Young Player of the Regular Season with Turk Telekom in the Turkish Basketball Super League. He averaged 6.7 points per game and 2.2 assists per game in 30 games played last season. "Melih is a versatile guard we are excited to have in our family,: Rhoades said in a released statement on Friday. "He has size and length that we love, with the ability to make plays and shots. Melih really fits our style of play on both ends. " Rhoades will hope to rely on Tunca's versatility and experience as he puts together a roster with a number of holes to fill after some roster turnover from last season. Penn State is set to welcome six freshmen to the roster this season in addition to some transfer additions like Josh Reed from Cincinnati. "His vast international playing experience will have him ready to impact our program,' Rhoades said of Tunca. It will certainly be needed. Penn State is coming off a 16-15 season that ended without a postseason tournament appearance. The Nittany Lions went just 6-14 in Big Ten play and failed to be included in the Big Ten men's basketball tournament.
