Myung-Bo Hong's side took on Iraq away from home as they secured their place at the tournament, which will be held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico next summer.

Oh started on the bench and was introduced at the hour mark. Three minutes later, South Korea took the lead through Jin-Gyu Kim, who was brought on at the break.
Ex-Celtic man Oh then sealed the victory with eight minutes remaining, firing home, first-time, from inside the box after a fine low cross.

Current Parkhead winger Yang Hyun-jun was an unused substitute in the match.
His old teammate, Oh, spent a year and a half in Glasgow's east end, making 47 appearances across all competitions.
He was sold to Genk last summer and has found his feet with the Belgian top-flight outfit, scoring 12 times in 41 games.
Brought to Celtic by Ange Postecoglou to replace Giorgos Giakoumakis, the 24-year-old never really got going in green and white.
His strike against Iraq on Friday was only his third for his country.
Up top, Adam Idah is the sole recognised striker currently at Celtic. Brendan Rodgers' desire to sign a new number nine in January following Kyogo Furuhashi's exit was apparent.
His wish wasn't granted, though, and Daizen Maeda, rather successfully, was utilised as a striker in the second half of last season.
The Scottish Premiership champions have reportedly put a £21 million valuation on his services ahead of the summer transfer window.

Bukayo Saka left out of England's squad to face Andorra after knock

Bukayo Saka has been left out of England's squad for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Andorra. Thomas Tuchel's side continue the road to next summer's tournament at the RCDE Stadium in Barcelona against the side ranked 173rd in the world. A minor injury saw Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins leave the camp on the eve of the Group K clash, while Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher and Arsenal forward Saka will miss the Andorra game after being left out of the matchday squad submitted to UEFA. Tuchel revealed Saka was suffering with a knock on Friday but thinks he can feature in Tuesday's friendly against Senegal. 'It's nice to see that he's back because he wanted to be back, and you straight away see when he comes in that he is comfortable to be with the squad, he knows what it takes to be a national player,' the England boss said. 'He came into camp with a little bit of discomfort from the last match against Southampton, so we took care of him and treated him individually until (Friday) basically. 'It was the first training session that he started and finished with the group. (Thursday), he started with the group but did not finish with the group, so let's see. 'I'm not sure if we take the risk for the game. The decision has not been taken, but he will be available for the Senegal match, and he plays a major role in our thoughts of how to build a competitive team.'

Tottenham captain Son Heung-min breaks silence on Ange Postecoglou's brutal axeing after Europa League triumph

Son Heung-min heaped praise on Ange Postecoglou after the Australian was sacked as Tottenham manager. The football world was rocked on Friday as Tottenham announced they had parted ways with their head coach after two years. The decision came just 16 days after Postecoglou had led Spurs to glory in Bilbao, defeating Manchester United 1-0 at the San Mames to win the Europa League. Victory also marked the club's first silverware since a league cup triumph in 2008, and marked their first European trophy in over four decades. In a Instagram post on Saturday, Son hailed Postecoglou's influence in north London and claimed he is 'a better player and a better person' as a result of working under the former Celtic boss. 'Gaffer. You've changed the trajectory of this club,' the Spurs captain wrote. 'You believed in yourself, and us, since day one and never wavered for a second. Even when others did. 'You knew what we were capable of all along. You did it your way. And your way brought this club the best night it's had in decades. We will have those memories for life. 'You trusted me with the captaincy. One of the highest honours of my career. 'It's been an incredible privilege to learn from your leadership up close, I am a better player and a better person because of you. 'Ange Postecoglou, you are a Tottenham Hotspur legend forever. Thank you, mate.'
