USA Todaya day ago

"Tight End University" kicks off this week.
TEU is an immersive three-day program designed for NFL tight ends to come together, share knowledge, collaborate, and learn from one another, ultimately elevating their game.
It was founded in 2021 by George Kittle, Travis Kelce, and Greg Olsen.
The Chargers have a few noteworthy tight ends on their roster in 2025, including Will Dissly, Tyler Conklin, and rookie Oronde Gadsden II. However, none of them will be in attendance.
The last time a Chargers tight end attended the event was back in 2023, with that being Tre' McKitty.
The full group of tight ends that will be at "Tight End U" can be found below:

USC Legend Amon-Ra St. Brown Takes Rare Jab at Chiefs, Kansas City

USC Legend Amon-Ra St. Brown Takes Rare Jab at Chiefs, Kansas City originally appeared on Athlon Sports. USC legend Amon-Ra St. Brown revealed he doesn't like one aspect of the Kansas City Chiefs. But it has nothing to do with Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, or even the presence of Taylor Swift. Advertisement The Detroit Lions star shared on the St. Brown Brothers podcast what he's not fond of involving the Chiefs, taking a rare jab at them. He didn't take a dig at the team. Nor did he take shots at the Chiefs' celebrity fame the past two seasons due to Swift's relationship with Kelce. St. Brown instead went after the city while speaking with his brother Equanimeous and Houston Texans wide receiver Jaylin Noel. Mitchell / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images 'I've been to Kansas City; I was there for the draft," St. Brown said. "Bro, I'm sorry. If you have money, I'm not living here after I get some money." St. Brown sounds like someone who got bored roaming around K.C. Or probably got tuned off by the city's small market vibe. St. Brown is more used to the bright lights and pristine weather of Southern California. After all he starred for prep powerhouse Mater Dei High in Orange County then went on to rise as one of the top receiving options for the Trojans. Advertisement St. Brown did have one good experience in K.C., though. His Lions pulled the 2023 season opening upset of the Chiefs 21-20 out in Arrowhead Stadium. St. Brown caught the game's first touchdown on a 9-yard connection from Jared Goff. He led the Lions with six receptions for 71 yards and the touchdown. Detroit will return to Arrowhead this season. Both teams are scheduled to play a primetime Sunday night showdown on Oct. 12. Best believe fans or even Chiefs players will use St. Brown's words as fuel. George Kittle Gets Brutally Honest About Retirement Plans

George Kittle Gets Brutally Honest About Retirement Plans originally appeared on Athlon Sports. George Kittle has established himself as one of the top tight ends in the NFL and proved it again last season. The San Francisco 49er finished with 78 catches for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns despite a major down year for the team. Advertisement At age 31 Kittle remains one of the more reliably productive offensive players in the league which helped him earn a four-year $76.4 million deal this offseason. But as he revealed on the "Bussin with the Boys" podcast, the length of that extension may be the final window of his career in the NFL. 'I don't know, I think if I get to 35 and it hurts to put pants on in the morning, I think I'll be like, 'Ah, this isn't that much fun anymore,' and I'll have a conversation with myself. But I'm feeling great right now.' He will not have much trouble keeping himself occupied once he leaves the game. In fact, Kittle will consider all avenues available to him, including a path into the world of professional wrestling if it comes open. 'I haven't daydreamed about it or anything like that, but I'm definitely aware that there are potential opportunities and doors that could be open.... I would love to do WWE. I think there's definitely opportunity within that world. Advertisement 'My only question mark with that is I so much love being a fan of WWE. I would only do WWE if I bought a ring and practiced my ass off for a long time so I wouldn't look like an idiot out there. I've been in a WWE ring like three times. I don't know what I'm doing out there. I have an understanding of how it works..." WWE stardom would be quite the retirement plan for Kittle and he is certainly not the only individual with a football background to get into that industry. Regardless of what the business' critics say, wrestling does take a toll on the body and Kittle would have to be physically fit for it. Kittle often makes appearances at notable WWE events, so the transition from fan to wrestler would be quite the site, even if for occasional contests. Whatever Kittle decides, his magnetic personality will continue to draw a large following whenever the time comes to hang up his cleats. For now, his focus rests on helping the Niners get their championship ambitions back on track. Broncos' Evan Engram Praises Bo Nix's 'Mentality' in Year Two

Broncos' Evan Engram Praises Bo Nix's 'Mentality' in Year Two originally appeared on Athlon Sports. After a strong rookie season from quarterback Bo Nix, the Denver Broncos added a new weapon for their young stud this offseason. The Broncos signed Evan Engram to a two-year, $23 million deal to give Nix another weapon heading into his sophomore season. Advertisement This week, at the annual Tight End University camp, founded by George Kittle, Travis Kelce, and Greg Olsen, Engram praised his new quarterback's mentality. "My favorite thing about him is just his mentality," Engram told Fox News' Scott Thompson. "The way he thinks, the way he talks to himself, his teammates, the way he's wired upstairs in the brain is really impressive for a kid coming into his second year at the quarterback position." The way Nix goes about his work on the game is one of the reasons Engram chose Denver during free agency. Nix's mentality is one Engram believes will only brew success, and he wanted to be a part of that. Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix (10) during the first quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs at Empower Field at Mile Chenoy-Imagn Images "I'm really impressed with him so far. I think the talent is there. The work ethic is there," Engram said. "I've seen it on film, kind of trying to figure out what team I want to go to, watching the Broncos. It's even just being around him, the talent is there. Advertisement "The success will find you. The way you work, the sacrifices he makes, the way he leads - just the way he goes about every single day. I think it's just inevitable for anybody to move like that and to have success." Although it's early in the offseason, Engram has already been impressed by the energy of his new team, and he believes that energy, combined with the Broncos' talent, can only lead to success. "Being in Denver - just being in OTAs - the season hasn't even started yet, and just the energy, the attitude, the camaraderie that's throughout the team, the accountability that's throughout the team, the talent that we have, the coaches that we have," Engram said. "I'm really blessed to be there right now and I think just the new teammates that I have, the way that they've accepted me the way we've built our relationships in such a short amount of time, it just really means a lot to me." Engram arrives after four years with the New York Giants and three years with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Engram has accumulated nearly 500 receptions, 5,000 yards, and 25 touchdowns in his career. Advertisement The tight end will be entering his eighth year in the league and brings a valuable veteran presence to this young Broncos' squad, especially for his second-year quarterback. "I think being in an environment like that with all the wisdom and the things that I know, my ability to be able to pass information down and help the guy next to me - just being in that environment already with other guys like-minded is just an incredible feeling and I think it all correlates," Engram said. "It fits together and I think we have a great opportunity this year to do something really good." The Broncos have about a month until training camp gets underway ahead of the 2025 season. But, as Engram hits the midway point of his first offseason in Denver, he's just thankful to be a Bronco. Advertisement "It's been incredible," Engram said. "I'm a firm believer in everything happens for a reason, and you know, God's plan for you is greater than anything you could conjure up yourself." There's a lot of expectation and excitement around the Broncos' potential in 2025, and Engram believes Nix is the perfect guy to be steering the ship.
