Glastonbury boss issue warning to fans ahead of Kneecap's performance
Glastonbury Festival chiefs have issued a warning for those navigating the crowds, with Kneecap expected to pull in the masses.
A warning list has been circulated among revellers detailing the acts likely to attract the most festival-goers.
Festival organisers advised attendees: "Kneecap will draw a large audience for their 4pm West Holts show. If you're not planning to see them, please plan alternative routes around that area. If you do plan to attend, listen to stewards, and please have some other entertainment options in mind in case the field reaches capacity and we need to close it as part of our crowd planning measures."
Kate Nash is tipped to gather a hefty audience at Left Field by 9pm, with the advice being to get there early if fans want to secure a spot.
They further mentioned: "Scissor Sisters will be very busy at Woodsies at 10.30pm. It's likely we'll need to close the field once it reaches capacity as part of our crowd planning measures. Charlie XCX will also be popular in our new enlarged Other Stage arena at 10.30pm.", reports the Mirror.
Thanks to the Glastonbury app, which allows music lovers to mark the acts they're seeing, organisers have a handle on predicting the heavy hitters.
As the fourth day of Glastonbury Festival 2025 surges on, countless partygoers are fuelling the weekend festivities.
Today's roster features an enigmatic slot marked Patchwork from 6.15pm to 7.15pm on the Pyramid Stages, sparking wild guesses about the mystery act, from Haim to Pulp, even Chappell Roan making the potential surprise list.
The headliner for tonight on the iconic Pyramid Stage is the highly anticipated Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts, but questions are swirling about whether the gig will be available to livestream for fans at home.
A BBC spokesperson has stepped in to shed some light on the situation: "On Saturday on BBC iPlayer, our Glastonbury Channel and five streams for the main stages will bring a range of live performances to audiences. At the artist's request, we won't be livestreaming Neil Young's set. Our plans, including those for our TV highlights shows and on-demand coverage, continue to be finalised right up to and during the festival."
Despite this, RAYE's stint on the Pyramid Stage, happening from 8pm to 9pm, will go ahead with a broadcast as planned, along with Charli XCX's big moment headlining the Other Stage starting at 10.30pm.
Saturday's line-up also boasts Doechii topping the bill at the West Holts stage from 10.45pm. Scissors Sisters are set to grace the Woodsies stage for a nostalgic performance at 10.30pm.
Enthusiasts can also tune in for Gary Numan and Caribou rocking The Park stage later in the day; there's even talk of an unannounced surprise act slated for the mysterious 7.30pm to 8.30pm slot. And indie rock enthusiasts won't want to miss Hard-Fi's headline show on the Avalon stage kicking off at 11.10pm.

Charli XCX brought Brat back to Glastonbury Festival on Saturday night in an electric performance that saw her dancing along with an energetic crowd. In recent months the singer, real name Charlotte Aitchison, has been performing at festivals across the globe, including Coachella in California, Primavera Sound in Barcelona and a headline slot at Lido Festival in London. Following the release of Brat, her infectious electronic-pop tracks soared up the charts and inspired a trend, with fans embracing the "Brat summer" cultural movement. The accolades followed, and in March she dominated the Brit Awards, winning five categories including songwriter of the year. She also secured album of the year, artist of the year, dance act, and song of the year for her track Guess featuring Eilish. In February she picked up three awards at the Grammys and she was named songwriter of the year at The Ivors in May.

Footage of punk duo Bob Vylan's Glastonbury Festival performance is being assessed by Avon and Somerset Police to see whether any offences may have been committed. The duo, made up of Bobby Vylan and Bobbie Vylan, led crowds at the West Holts Stage in a chant of "death, death to the IDF" as they performed before Irish rap trio Kneecap. But who are Bob Vylan? Formed in Ipswich in 2017, both members of Bob Vylan keep their real names secret to maintain their privacy. The band's musical style is an innovative mix of grime, punk and hard rock, and they have released four albums, Dread (2019), We Live Here (2020), Bob Vylan Presents The Price Of Life (2022), and Humble as the Sun (2024). They won best alternative music act at the Mobo Awards in 2022, and best album at the Kerrang awards in 2022 for Bob Vylan Presents The Price Of Life. Bobby is also said to have wielded a baseball bat at the gig, and the news article was headlined "the frost and the fury". Sarah Corbett, from Norwich, who was on the receiving end of the alleged tirade, told the newspaper: "We were all having fun on the dance floor. I'd put an ice cube down my friend's top for a laugh. "Another girl then threw it at her friend, but it missed and landed at his feet. "At that point he stopped the gig and demanded to know who had thrown it. "Seeing the girl's face drop, I decided to take the flak and announced it was me. He started abusing me through the microphone. "As I tried to leave, one of his fans tried to grab me by the throat." A band spokesman told the paper after the incident that they "completely refute any wrongdoing" and that Bobby "did not want to engage".

The Script pay tribute to late guitarist Mark Sheehan during Glastonbury set
The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue paid tribute to former band member Mark Sheehan during their Glastonbury performance. Guitarist Sheehan died aged 46 after a brief illness in April 2023 and had formed the band alongside O'Donoghue and drummer Glen Power. During their performance on the Pyramid Stage, O'Donoghue said: "There's one person I really wish was here to see this. He was on this stage 17 years ago. We lost my best mate and the founding member of the script, Mark Sheehan. "We lost him nearly a year and a half ago. I just wanted to thank every single person here for keeping us going, for all your thoughts and all your prayers. Thank you so much "I know he's having a whisky right now looking down on us." He went on to dedicate the band's song If You Could See Me Now to Sheehan. The Script was formed in Dublin in 2001. Their eponymous debut album was released in 2008 and it went to number one in both the UK and Ireland. It featured hits such as We Cry, Breakeven, and The Man Who Can't Be Moved. Among their other studio albums are chart-topping LPs Science And Faith (2010) and Freedom Child (2017). Their most recent studio album, Satellites, was released in August 2024. O'Donoghue, 44, is also known for being one of the original coaches on reality TV competition series The Voice UK.
