Harry and Meghan's wedding singers perform for King at culture festival
The King was entertained by the singers who performed at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's 2018 wedding as he toured a festival.
Charles heard the Kingdom Choir when he arrived at South by SouthWest London (SXSW London), a culture, technology and creativity festival in Shoreditch, east London.
The event aims to showcase the future of the creative industries, supporting emerging artists and innovative projects and featuring a number of discussions, exhibitions and networking events.
Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner was among the dignitaries who greeted the King, after she had spoken earlier at the festival about sustainable communities, and among the line-up was London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan.
SXSW London has delegates attending from 56 countries including the Commonwealth, with representatives from the UK, Australia, Canada, Cyprus, India, Kenya, New Zealand and Nigeria.
Speakers during the six-day festival have included former prime ministers Sir Tony Blair and Lord David Cameron, Sir Sadiq and actor Idris Elba addressing delegates on a range of issues from AI to healthcare and creativity in communities.

"I'm not here because this was my choice," the Princess Royal told the crowd. "You very kindly asked me to become patron of your organizations, so it's an honor for me to have all of you here." Anne's Charities Forum gathered on Friday, June 6, to discuss "challenges facing the sector, public trust in charities and the opportunities and risks presented by new technologies," the royal family shared on their official website. While the Princess Royal slipped some of her well-known dry humor into her speech, she also took the opportunity to thank the attendees, who were invited from the over 300 charities she supports. Representatives from both Save the Children and Riding for the Disabled — Anne's most longstanding patronages — were in attendance at the forum. "The responsibility and respect that you give to your own organizations, the people who work for you and your own beneficiaries, is perhaps the key to what makes you so important," she told the forum audience. "Respect and responsibility. Thank you very much for doing what you do." Anne and Charles have shown their tight bond over the years, including on one of the most important days in the King's life: his coronation. The Princess Royal attended the 2023 crowning of her elder brother and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey, where she served as Gold-Stick-in-Waiting. Anne has held the prestigious role since 1998. The position is hundreds of years old, dating all the way back to the 15th century, when officers were tasked with keeping the monarch from harm by staying in close proximity. Princess Anne led 6,000 armed services personnel to Buckingham Palace on horseback during the King's coronation day, which reflected the close relationship between the siblings, Anne's daughter Zara Tindall told PEOPLE at the time. "It's a busy time for them all, and her and her brother are very close, so it's a nice thing to do," Zara said. The King also showed his respect for his sister by making her a Counsellor of State after his accession in September 2022. Marco Bassetti, CEO of MasterChef and Peaky Blinders production empire Banijay Entertainment, has addressed speculation about the company's interest in acquiring ITV. The Financial Times reported in April that Banijay has held talks with ITV about a takeover. Deadline reported last month that the talks were still tentative and that the shape of any deal was unclear. Bassetti went on to talk about the benefits of scale in the current climate. If Banijay was to make an audacious bid for ITV, it would cement its status as one of the biggest entertainment companies in the world. 'To put this in context, we are a niche business with many companies, so we always talk to each other about how to create more value. And sometimes rumors get out,' he said, adding that we are currently 'living in a world where consolidation is really important.' 'It wasn't like this a few years ago,' he said. 'Then, we were a little bit scared about scale. We didn't want to be seen as too big or powerful. But today, if you don't have a big distribution branch or have the money to invest in pilots, it is difficult to stay in the market.' Last month, citing sources with knowledge of the talks, we reported that RedBird IMI's interest has cooled significantly in recent weeks, though the situation remains fluid and could change again quickly. Sources told Deadline that RedBird IMI believes ITV Studios' valuation is too high. Bassetti's talk was moderated by Jordan Schwarzenberger, co-founder of Arcade Media, the management company of YouTube creators The Sidemen. On the topic of online creators and their convergence with traditional producers like Banijay, Bassetti spoke at length, telling the audience that to move forward, both producers and creators must increasingly work together. 'We must converge if we want to exploit the content created,' Bassetti said. 'We need to use as much as possible all the platforms the market has today. So like your next picture for you is Netflix. We are working to produce shows on YouTube.'
