's Money in the Bank 2025 has officially begun, and things are already getting wild. Two high-stakes qualifying matches took place on SmackDown, and both delivered big results.
One featured a rising star making her SmackDown debut, while the other showed off a fan-favorite veteran pulling off a clever win.
With the event just weeks away, these matches brought even more hype to one of WWE's most exciting nights of the year.
Money in the Bank is always full of surprises, and this year's event, scheduled for June 7 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, promises to be no different. The men's and women's ladder matches allow superstars to earn a title shot any time they want.

The night started with a Women's Money in the Bank Qualifying Match. It was a Triple Threat match between

. Flair has won almost everything in WWE, but Money in the Bank is the one prize she has never held. Zelina Vega, the Women's US Champion, was also hungry for a big win. But it was Giulia who stood out the most.
Even though this was the first match of Giulia on SmackDown, she looked like a star from the very beginning.

The match had many wild moments. Flair put Vega in the Figure Eight submission hold, and it looked like she might win. But Giulia flew off the top rope, crushed Flair to break the hold, and took control of the match.

Giulia then picked up Vega and hit a strong Northern Lights Bomb. That move was enough to get the three-count and win the match. Now she is officially in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match, joining Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and Roxanne Perez.
Two more women will still qualify in the coming days.
La Knight outsmarts his rivals to qualify
Later in the show, the men had their own Triple Threat Qualifying Match.
LA Knight
took on
Shinsuke Nakamura
and
Aleister Black
. Just like the women's match, this one was full of action from start to finish. All three superstars came close to winning at different times.
Toward the end, Aleister Black hit Nakamura with his powerful Black Mass kick. It looked like the match was over. But LA Knight saw his chance. He threw Black out of the ring and quickly pinned Nakamura.
The referee counted to three, and just like that, Knight had earned his spot in the Men's Ladder Match.

Now, LA Knight joins Solo Sikoa as the first two confirmed men in the Money in the Bank match. More qualifiers will happen on Raw and SmackDown next week. Fans can not wait to see who else will join the lineup. The road to Money in the Bank is heating up, and both Giulia and LA Knight are ready to climb the ladder to greatness.
