He was sentenced to six years in prison on Tuesday after admitting three charges of engaging in sexual activity with a child.
The girl's distraught parents said Alshamsi had destroyed their daughter's innocence and had left her with severe psychological damage for which she requires ongoing counselling.
Her mother said: 'He has taken away our little girl. He took away the virginity of a girl who should be learning about sex education at school and not having sex with a grown adult.
'She was honest with him and told him her age. He knew what he was doing, what he was coming over here for.'
Lewes Crown Court heard how Alshamsi first made contact with the Year 9 pupil on Snapchat last year, telling her he was just 16.
Bombarding her with sexually explicit messages, he offered to travel to the UK so they could meet up.
On Christmas Eve last year Alshamsi flew from his home in Abu Dhabi to Britain and on Dec 27 checked into a £250 a night room at the Hilton Brighton Metropole.
He then booked an Uber to collect the girl from her home and drop her off at the hotel, where he spent two days sexually abusing her.
Police launched an urgent hunt for the teenager and using a signal from her mobile phone were able to pinpoint her location to Brighton.
Detectives spent hours scouring the coastline around the city before narrowing the search down to the hotel.
She was eventually located in a hotel corridor where she told police she just wanted to be with her mother.
A subsequent search of Alshamsi's room found condoms, a whipped cream canister, lubricant and vodka he had purchased.
He was tracked down to the hotel spa, where he was relaxing and enjoying luxury treatments.
Victim on suicide watch
The victim's family said the girl was so traumatised by what had happened she was now on constant 'suicide watch' and was not allowed to go anywhere by herself.
Her mother told Lewes Crown Court: 'I am worried she is going to be a volcano and explode in some way. She wants life to be normal but he has taken away our little girl. She has been to a doctor and is on suicide watch.
'He knew what he was doing coming over here. He got her to leave home alone.'
Will Saunders, prosecuting, said Alshamsi had shown clear 'grooming behaviour' and planned his trip in detail.
He said the ' grooming ' and 'planning' was all done with sex in mind.
In mitigation Daniel Darnbrough, defending, said Alshamsi had brought shame on his respectable family and his four sisters were 'disgusted' by his behaviour.
Sentencing him, Judge Mark van der Zwart, said: 'From your home you used social media to groom and lure a 13-year-old girl from the safety of her parents and siblings. She was just a child, you were anything but. This was appallingly predatory behaviour.'
Judge Mark van der Zwart also sentenced him to a sexual harm prevention order and said he would be deported when he is freed.
Speaking after the case Det Insp Sean Booth, from the Safeguarding Investigations Unit, said: 'This was a distressing case which showed the lengths Alshamsi was prepared to go to engage in sexual activity with a young teenage girl. She was vulnerable, and he exploited her trust.
'I would also like to praise the professionalism of our officers from Brighton Response and our Neighbourhood Policing Team who completed an extended search of the seafront and a meticulous search inside the hotel which ensured the victim was brought safely back to her family, and that Alshamsi was arrested swiftly.
'Thanks to this work, Alshamsi had no choice but to plead guilty to the offences when presented with the evidence from our investigation.'
He said the victim and her family had shown considerable 'bravery' throughout the investigation and she had received one-to-one support from specially-trained officers.
He said: 'We continue to encourage anyone who has been the victim of child sexual exploitation and sexual offences to come forward and report their experience to us.'

Paedo sent intimate photo of himself to undercover cop pretending to be 13-year-old girl
Barry Stevenson, 28, was jailed for 15 months at Airdrie Sheriff Court and told he will be under supervision for two years when he is released. A paedophile given bail after being caught with child sex abuse images then sent an intimate photo of himself to an undercover police officer who was pretending to be a 13-year-old girl. Barry Stevenson, 28, was jailed for 15 months at Airdrie Sheriff Court and told he will be under supervision for two years when he is released. Stevenson, who has no previous convictions, was also placed on the sex offenders' register for 10 years. He admitted downloading child porn at his home in Whinhall Avenue, Airdrie, between November 2022 and January 2024. Stevenson also admitted sending a naked picture of himself to a police decoy and asking for intimate pictures to be sent to him. That offence happened in May last year when he was on bail on the indecent images charge. The court heard that, when confronted over suspicions that he had child sex abuse material, Stevenson told police officers: "I've nothing to hide. I haven't searched for anything." However, indecent images were found on two phones belonging to him. Annette Ward, prosecuting, said Stevenson later began a conversation with an undercover officer on Snapchat who told him she was 13. He started talking about "naughty" pictures and said he'd sent them to "lots of people", but never to anyone under 19 and only when he was asked. Stevenson said "no one would find out" if she sent him such an image then he sent a naked one of himself. Ms Ward told the court: "The decoy stated she lived near Leicester and the accused said he could drive down to see her, adding 'We could do whatever you wanted. Would you be able to take the day off school to hang out with me? You're too cute'." The pair chatted online for several days before police officers arrested Stevenson again. Defence lawyer Matthew McGovern conceded that Stevenson "has a sexual interest in children", but added: "There might be a realistic prospect of rehabilitation as the first step in dealing with a problem is accepting that there is one. "A robust community sentence would place him under watch by the court. "He and his partner are still together despite these offences and she is supportive. "She is also pregnant and a custodial sentence would have a significant impact on her." But Sheriff Derek Livingston said only jail was appropriate because, having been bailed, Stevenson had committed a further offence. And did you know Lanarkshire Live had its own app? The two very different types of female alcoholic: My friend Sarah took a sip of wine after six years sober. When I next saw her, I was shocked to the core: AMANDA GOFF
Sarah* didn't wake up in a stranger's bed, nor did she vomit on the Uber driver. She knew she didn't need to check her phone in the morning and cringe at the abusive texts she'd sent to colleagues. She didn't even need a Panadol. There was no drama, no tragedy, no sirens, no clink of handcuffs.

Renfrewshire paedophile branded "every parent's worst nightmare" after sending sexual messages to teen girls
Twisted John McNaught sent sexual messages on social media platforms to six young teenage girls. A twisted paedophile who sent sexual messages on social media to six young teenage girls has been branded 'every parent's worst nightmare'. Creepy John McNaught contacted the young girls on Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat, and sent sexually explicit messages asking them to send naked pictures of themselves to him. He also sent sexually explicit images and videos of himself to them. When the girls blocked the 27-year-old pervert's accounts, he created new social media profiles in a bid to message them further – harassing them for indecent photos. Paisley Sheriff Court heard how one of the girls told McNaught she was only 12 and crudely replied: 'I've f****d girls your age and they didn't complain.' Procurator fiscal depute Abi McKenna told the court: 'On February 10, 2024, an 11-year-old girl was messaged initially on TikTok and then on Instagram by the accused which began as general chat but then became sexual and made the girl feel uncomfortable. 'The accused asked the girl to send pictures of her private parts, which she did at the beginning. 'The accused then sent videos of himself carrying out a sex act on himself, and continued to message the girl in a sexually explicit manner. As a result, the girl advised the accused she was not going to send anything else and blocked the accused's account. 'On March 25, 2024, another Instagram account started messaging the girl. She identified this as being the accused who she had blocked in February but was now using another account name.' McNaught continued to send sexually explicit messages and, when the girl told him her age, he replied stating he didn't care as he's had 'younger girls before'. Further evidence of McNaught's seedy behaviour saw him send messages to a 12-year-old girl, stating she was 'fit', 'young', 'hot' and 'banging' and he asked her if she wanted to see pictures of his private parts. Ms McKenna added: 'A 13-year-old girl was added on Snapchat at the end of March last year by someone of the name of John Ross McNaught. He asked her what age she was and she told him she was 13. 'The accused then started replying to some of her TikToks and would message inappropriate things about her appearance. She deleted the comments and removed the accused from her accounts. 'He then started to create fake accounts which were all similar to the first one. He would message this girl, saying things like, 'You're too mature for your age' and that he would spread her legs by force. 'These comments made her feel sick and she wouldn't reply to any but the accused kept sending messages. 'He didn't send a picture of his face but he sent a picture of his private parts, four or five times, as well as a video of him carrying out a sexual act on himself.' A total of 72 images and videos of child sexual exploitation and abuse were recovered from two mobile phones owned by McNaught. A cybercrime investigation discovered this haul included nine Category A images – ranked as the highest level of severity for indecent images – and 27 Category A videos. McNaught's defence agent called for background reports and sentence was deferred until next month. Sheriff Gillian Craig slammed McNaught and said: 'These are serious crimes you've pled guilty to. You are every parent's worst nightmare. The impact you had on these victims cannot be overstated.' McNaught, described as a prisoner of Low Moss jail, Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire, was placed on the sex offenders' register and remanded in custody meantime.
