Entrex Florida Market and University of Tampa Launch 'Revenue Realities' Series: A Comparative Analysis of Revenue and Equity Valuation in Public and Private Markets

Boca Raton, FL April 22, 2025 --( PR.com )-- Entrex Florida Market (OTC: RGLG), in collaboration with the University of Tampa's Sykes College of Business and the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center, is pleased to announce the release of the inaugural edition of Revenue Realities—which first edition shall compare 20 years of revenue performance and stock price behavior of the 30 companies within the Dow Jones Industrial Average. 'Entrex's marketplace solutions use revenue-enhanced, fixed-income debt securities—branded as TIGRcubs™—to create tradable, risk-adjusted investment instruments for private corporate issuers,' said Stephen H. Watkins, CEO of Entrex Florida Market. 'Through Revenue Realities, we aim to demonstrate how company revenues more accurately reflect fundamental business performance, while equity valuations are often driven by market sentiment.'
Thomas Harblin, Partner at Entrex Florida Market, added: 'With over 33 million private companies in the U.S., traditional equity investing presents challenges—particularly when it comes to valuation and liquidity. By focusing on revenue-based performance, we draw inspiration from early investment models such as the London Stock Exchange's royalty-based structures. The logic remains: revenue offers measurable, consistent indicators of value.'
Revenue Realities will also complement the Florida Private Company Index ( www.PrivateCompanyIndex.com ), which tracks top-line performance among private businesses throughout the state. 'Our various indexes will bring clarity to Florida's private market landscape, offering both regional and statewide insights into revenue trends,' Harblin said. 'It enables transparency and creates a benchmark for private company investors.'
Watkins concluded, 'Our next goal is to formalize an investable index of Florida's leading private companies. Modeled after indices like the NASDAQ, the Florida Private Company Index and the inaugural TampaTwenty founding members, will allow investors diversified access to the growth engine of Florida's private sector.'

Asian markets set to open higher as investors await Beijing-Washington trade meeting and China data

China Shenzhen Real444 | E+ | Getty Images Asian markets were set to climb Monday as investors awaited trade talks between the U.S. and China later in the day, following accusations between the two over breaching deal terms agreed in Geneva last month. Trade tensions are seemingly easing as China has reportedly granted temporary approvals for the export of rare earths, while jetliner Boeing Co has begun commercial jet deliveries to the Asian superpower. China is also slated to release a slew of data, including its consumer and wholesale inflation readings for May. Economists polled by Reuters expect consumer prices to have fallen by 0.2% year on year, while PPI is forecast to have declined by 3.2% from a year earlier.. Futures for Hong Kong's Hang Seng index stood at 23,801 pointing to a marginally higher open compared to the HSI's last close of 23,792.54. Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 was set to open higher, with the futures contract in Chicago at 37,975 while its counterpart in Osaka last traded at 37,980, against the index's Friday close of 37,741.61. Australian markets are closed for a public holiday. U.S. equity futures were mostly flat in early Asian trade. All three key benchmarks on Wall Street jumped last Friday, after the non-farm payrolls data came in better-than-expected. U.S. payrolls climbed 139,000 in May, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday, above the Dow Jones forecast of 125,000 for the month but less than the downwardly revised 147,000 in April. The Dow Jones Industrial Average popped 443.13 points, or 1.05%, to close at 42,762.87. The blue-chip index was up more than 600 points at its highs of the session. Meanwhile, the the broad-based S&P 500 also gained 1.03% — surpassing the 6,000 level for the first time since late February — and settling at 6,000.36, while the Nasdaq Composite rallied 1.20%, to end at 19,529.95. — CNBC's Sean Conlon and Jesse Pound contributed to this report.

1 Top Dow Dividend Stock to Buy for Passive Income in June

Verizon has a dividend yield of more than 6%, triple the average Dow stock. The telecom company produces lots of cash to cover its dividend and invest in growing its business. It has a strong balance sheet, giving it ample financial flexibility to fund its dividend and growth. 10 stocks we like better than Verizon Communications › The Dow Jones Industrial Average tracks 30 large, publicly traded blue chip stocks. These companies are some of the strongest and most well-known in the country. They tend to be lower-risk companies, most of which pay dividends. Because of that, Dow stocks can be a great choice for those seeking reliable dividend income. Of the 30 Dow stocks, Verizon (NYSE: VZ) stands out for its high dividend yield. At over 6%, it's more than triple the average dividend yield of Dow stocks (less than 2%). That makes the telecom giant an ideal dividend stock to buy for passive income this month. A high dividend yield can sometimes suggest that a company has a higher risk profile. However, that's not the case with Verizon. The telecom giant produces prodigious cash flows and boasts a rock-solid financial profile. Last year, Verizon generated $36.9 billion in cash flow from operations. It invested $17.1 billion into capital projects to maintain and expand its 5G and fiber networks. That left Verizon with $19.8 billion in free cash flow, which easily covered the company's $11.2 billion in dividend payments to shareholders. The remaining excess free cash flow enabled the telecom giant to strengthen its already solid balance sheet. Its leverage ratio fell from 2.6 times at the end of 2023 to 2.3 times at the end of last year. That's a solid leverage ratio for a company that generates stable cash flow. It backs the company's strong A-/BBB+/Baa1 bond ratings. Verizon's long-term goal is to have an even lower leverage ratio in the range of 1.75x to 2.0x, putting it on an even stronger financial foundation. Verizon's robust cash flows and strong financial profile have enabled the company to steadily increase its dividend. Last September, the company delivered its 18th consecutive annual dividend increase, raising its payment by around 2%. That's the longest current streak in the U.S. telecom sector. The company should be able to continue increasing its dividend in the future. It's investing heavily in 5G and fiber to provide faster wireless and broadband services to customers. That strategy is driving the company's financial growth this year. Its wireless services revenue rose 2.7% in the first quarter to an industry-leading $20.8 billion. Meanwhile, its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 4% to $12.6 billion, the highest in the company's history. Verizon also produced $3.6 billion in free cash flow after capital expenses in the first quarter, a 34% jump compared to the year-ago period. Verizon has budgeted between $17.5 billion and $18.5 billion for capital expenditures this year to maintain and expand its network. That will leave it with $17.5 billion to $18.5 billion in free cash flow, more than enough to cover its dividend and continue strengthening its balance sheet. The company is using some of its financial flexibility to acquire Frontier Communications in a $20 billion all-cash deal that it hopes to close early next year. The acquisition will significantly expand its fiber network while generating at least $500 million in annual cost savings. Verizon will use its growing excess free cash flow to repay the debt it will take on to close that deal. It should return to its current level within two years of closing the acquisition. That would free up additional cash that Verizon could use to repurchase stock. The growing free cash flow from its capital investments and the Frontier deal should enable Verizon to continue to steadily increase its high-yielding dividend. Verizon is a rare high-yielding blue chip dividend stock. It provides investors with a bond-like income stream with some upside potential from a rising dividend and the possibility of an increasing stock price. These features make it an ideal option for those seeking a bankable income stream backed by a top Dow stock. Stock futures are little changed on Sunday evening with trade talks, inflation data on deck in week ahead: Live updates

U.S. equity futures were mostly flat on Sunday evening with the S&P 500 trading near a record high and a busy week of potential market-moving news ahead. S&P 500 futures added less than 0.1%. Nasdaq 100 futures gained less than 0.1%, while futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average ticked up 27 points, or less than 0.1%. The move in futures comes after all three of the major indexes notched their second-straight winning week. The S&P 500 closed above the 6,000 level for the first time since Feb. 21, and is now less than 3% away from its record closing high. Chris Verrone, chief market strategist Strategas, said Friday on "Closing Bell" the rally shows that concerns about tariffs and the U.S. economy are easing among many traders and investors. "The message of the market is still one that is largely pretty constructive here," Verrone said, mentioning S&P 500 hitting a three-month high. "Maybe most importantly, cyclicals continue to hum along. I know the data on balance has been softer, but the market's saying ignore it. Cyclicals making new highs versus defensives says, 'Hey, the economy's largely OK here,' " he added. The coming week will bring plenty of opportunities to either reinforce or undermine the market's confidence. On Monday, officials from the U.S. and China are expected to hold trade talks in London, President Donald Trump announced Friday. In the U.S., Apple's 2025 Worldwide Developer Conference kicks off on Monday. The tech giant's stock has been an area of weakness this year, sinking more than 18%. Inflation data is expected to be a key topic later in the week. The latest consumer price index is due out on Wednesday, followed by the producer price index on Friday. Traders will be looking for clues as to how the current tariff rates are flowing through the economy. A new consumer sentiment reading from the University of Michigan — which includes data around inflation expectations — is due out on Friday. Futures were calm when trading resumed on Sunday evening, with the three main futures contracts drifting marginally higher. — Jesse Pound The communication services group was the top performing sector in the S&P 500 last week, gaining 3.19%. The sector's three-biggest stocks — Alphabet , Meta Platforms and Netflix — all finished higher on the week. Stock chart icon The communications services group was a strong performer last week. Meanwhile, consumer staples was the worst performing sector, sinking 1.57%. Small caps were another bright spot, as the Russell 2000 gained 3.19% for its eighth positive week in 9. — Jesse Pound, Christopher Hayes
