BERLIN dance label, Mother Recordings celebrates a decade of electronic music authority with a remix that echoes through the ages.
When Leon and Shaf Huse dropped Power To The People on the imprint in 2018, it wasn't just a track, it was a global call to dance. The hypnotic beats and classic sample of Wildchild's cult hit Renegade Master from the 90s helped create a terrace anthem that roared out of DC10 Ibiza and into the sets of legends like Carl Cox, The Martinez Brothers and Seth Troxler.

Now, Tube & Berger, fellow Berlin groove architects Arndt Roerig and Marko Vidovic -heads of Kittball Records, have injected it with a fresh dose of cinematic tension.
Their remix doesn't walk onto the dancefloor, it haunts it.
With horror-funk synths towering like cathedral organs and voodoo-driven percussion, this is a tribute to the darker, more primal pulse of the underground.
We caught up with Tube & Berger this week and asked them to curate a playlist to mark the release of their remix.
Their selection includes the new remix and captures that same energy and is a celebration of the renegades, the ravers, and the revolutionary power of a perfectly placed drop.
Back once again, with the Renegade Master indeed!

Leon & Shaf Huse – Power To The People (Tube & Berger Remix)
To celebrate 10 years of Mother Recordings, we remixed this banger – raw groove with a message, and it felt right to bring it back with our twist.
Tube & Berger – Time To Push The Propaganda
The world's on the edge? But we're dropping heat through the chaos.
Taly Shum – In My Head
Taly shines with her sweet Ukrainian girl power – we're super happy to have her on board at ZEHN.
Dirsehan, Ursula La Notte – Save Me
As soon as we heard it, we wanted it on ZEHN Records. Dark, emotional, and totally hypnotic and addictive.
Tube & Berger, Juliet Sikora – Come On Now (Set It Off) (Tony Romera Remix)
Tony gave our classic a fresh punch – heavy, modern, and still slaps.
Katsi, Mat.Joe – Jah Love
Our long-time buddy Mat.Joe teamed up with our Kittball label mom for this warm, summer tune – good vibes all over.
Bless You – Gotta Move
Caught our ear right away – great groove and full of tension. Since then, it's been in our set. Works every time.
DEFLEE – Yo!
We've been into DEFLEE for a while and this one's just another fire tune from him. Clean and heavy.
Doctors On Decks – The Fog (Chris Luno Extended Remix)
Our Austrian friends teamed up with Chris Luno, and he took it deep and dreamy. A proper late-night roller.
AG Swifty – SHHH!
This one's all about the groove – stripped back, bouncy, and perfect to get the floor moving.

Inside the Ukrainian frontline strip club where brave dancers flout curfew to perform to punters enduring hell of war

'Our goal is to be a switch from what is happening,' says the club's owner DANCE THE PAIN AWAY Inside the Ukrainian frontline strip club where brave dancers flout curfew to perform to punters enduring hell of war AMID the missiles and misery of life on Ukraine's front line, there is one night-time spot which refuses to be beaten. In Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, the Flash Dancers strip club is still swinging - offering a temporary escape for the embattled locals. 9 The doors of Flash Dancers - a strip club in Kharkiv - remain open despite the raging war Credit: Getty 9 Club dancer Anny, 21, gets her costume and makeup ready ahead of a night of entertainment Credit: Getty 9 The women-owned business opens nightly - despite a strict 11pm curfew Credit: Getty Flash Dancers is a women-owned business which opens its doors every night - flouting the 11pm curfew. It offers exclusive, exotic entertainment to anyone who pays. Prostitution is illegal in Ukraine, so strip clubs find themselves in legal grey area. But the law was lightly applied before the war - and now the authorities seem to accept that momentary indulgence can be tolerated. Read more world news DIZZY HEIGHTS Inside world's craziest city where you never know which floor you're on Valeriya Zavadskaya, the club's co-owner, told Business Insider in 2023: "Our goal is to be a switch from what is happening." Her mother, a former professional Soviet dancer, opened the club a decade ago. The dancers arrive in the afternoon to practice their routines. By night time, they're dressed to the nines in ornate burlesque outfits to entertain their clients. The club is dimly lit in soft red glow as the doors swing open to welcome customers. There are never more than 20 in a night - and sometimes no one shows up. I went on holiday to UKRAINE - I fled £7-a-night hostel during air raid siren on first night…but it didn't spoil my trip More than a million residents have fled Kharkiv since war broke out, meaning fewer people are looking for entertainment. Drinks have also tripled in price since before fighting began. While the club is a haven for both staff and punters, the signs of war are inescapable. The windows on the three floors above the club are boarded up after an explosion in the city centre shattered every pane on the block. And Flash Dancers is underground, so it doubles up as an air-raid shelter. When the sirens sound, people scurry down to wait out rocket strikes in the red-leather booths surrounding the dance pole. But despite it all - the doors of Flash Dancers remain open. 9 Flash Dancers club owner Valeria Zavadksa trains a dancer before the club opens Credit: Getty 9 Zavadksa is a former professional Soviet dancer Credit: Getty 9 Pole dancer Nana performs at the club Credit: Getty Valeriya says: "It's something you can't say with words, but can tell with your body." Her founder mother Valeriia Kseniya now has a day job too as director of a small hotel. She told Business Insider: "For most of us in Ukraine today, it's difficult to earn a living in just one job." In 2014, she heard of a city-centre strip club closing down - and recognised her opportunity to bring her love of dance to the city she called home. With dreams of a modern-day Moulin Rouge, she hired a handful of women who could dance, and began crafting her vision. She says: "Everyone initially thought it was a club with happy endings. "Our position is that girls are not meat. Girls are about aesthetics, about femininity, about beauty." 9 Dancers Anny (left) and Nana share a drink as the club opens for business Credit: Getty 9 Ukrainian servicemen fire a Howitzer towards Russian troops on a front line in Ukraine's Kharkiv region Credit: Reuters

Record-chasing Swiatek dispatches Svitolina to make French Open last four

PARIS, June 3 (Reuters) - Four-times champion Iga Swiatek of Poland swept aside Ukraine's Elina Svitolina 6-1 7-5 on a windy day at the French Open on Tuesday to earn a semi-final spot and stay in the hunt for a record-breaking victory in Paris The 24-year-old, who accepted a one-month doping ban late last year, is looking to become the first woman in the professional era since 1968 to win four consecutive titles in Paris. Although she failed to win a title going into the French Open this season, she looks to have rediscovered her remarkable claycourt form in Paris. She will next play world number one Aryna Sabalenka in a mouth-watering semi-final after the Belarusian beat China's Zheng Qinwen in straight sets. "I should have had better intensity in the beginning of the second set," Swiatek said in a post-match interview. "When I saw my intensity go low I got it high again. I am happy I did it at the end of the set. "Against Aryna it is always a challenge. She has a game for every surface. I have to do the work, be brave with my shots and go for it. She is having a great season." "I will not lie. It will be a tough match but am happy for the challenge," she said. The Pole is now on a 26-match winning streak at the French Open, following her title three-peat between 2022-24 to add to her 2020 crown. Swiatek, playing in an initially sparsely filled Philipp Chatrier stadium, broke the Ukrainian, in her fifth quarter-final appearance in Paris, early and kept her on the back foot with her heavy top-spin forehand and rapid changes in pace and direction. Svitolina desperately tried to hang on but she could not match her opponent's power in rallies, sending a forehand into the net to hand her another break as Swiatek bagged the set on her serve in the next game. With her husband, French tennis player Gael Monfils, watching from the stands, Svitolina ignited hope among the crowd when she moved 5-4 up in the second set. Three unforced forehand errors in the next game, however, proved too many and Swiatek raced through the next three games to seal victory, firing three aces in the final game including one on match point.
