Authorities believe they have tracked Travis Decker, who is accused of killing his three daughters, to the Blewett Pass in Washington after a weeklong manhunt
The girls — Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5 — were found suffocated at a remote campground on June 2
Decker was previously charged in absentia with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of kidnappingTravis Decker, the Washington father accused of murdering his three young daughters during a court-ordered visit, has been allegedly tracked following a nationwide manhunt that spanned over a week and involved multiple law enforcement agencies, authorities confirmed on Tuesday, June 10.Decker, 39, is currently believed to have been tracked to the Blewett Pass area near Highway 97 in Washington, the Chelan County Sheriff's Office said in a press release shared with PEOPLE. He has yet to be apprehended.
"Our office recently received a tip from a hiking party who stated they spotted a lone hiker in the Enchantments area who appeared to be ill prepared for trail and weather conditions, and appeared to be avoiding others," police said.
"Tracking teams immediately acted upon the information and spotted a lone, off trail hiker from a helicopter near Colchuck Lake who ran from sight as the helicopter passed," the CCSO added. "Additional assets were called to the area while they developed a plan to track the individual. Teams later picked up a trail and deployed K9s to the area, tracking the subject to the area of Ingalls Creek Trailhead on HWY 97."
Police say anyone who has been camping in the area within the last week and noticed anything suspicious should call the tip line.
Decker is wanted in connection with the deaths of Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia Decker, 5 — three sisters found deceased at a remote campsite near the Cascade Mountains on June 2.
The girls had been reported missing by their mother, Whitney Decker, on May 30, after their father, Travis, failed to return them following a court-ordered visitation. Hours later, police located Travis' abandoned truck at the Rock Island Campground.
Inside a tent nearby, they made a grim discovery: all three sisters, deceased.
All three children had been suffocated, and a coroner ruled their deaths homicides, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by PEOPLE.
Travis was charged with three counts of first-degree murder, one count of first-degree kidnapping and custodial interference.
Authorities believed Decker may have fled on foot and attempted to cross into Canada after he allegedly searched "how to relocate to Canada" online. A $20,000 reward was offered for information leading to his arrest. The U.S. Marshal Service, along with local and state agencies, coordinated a wide-ranging search.

At the time of the murders, Decker and Whitney were in the midst of a divorce, and Whitney had been granted full custody. She previously expressed concern for the girls' safety and had reportedly petitioned to restrict unsupervised visitation.
The case has drawn national attention and an outpouring of support for the Decker family. A GoFundMe campaign organized on Whitney's behalf has raised over $1 million to cover funeral costs and other expenses.
Paityn, Evelyn and Olivia were remembered by loved ones as "bright, creative, and deeply loved."As Decker is yet to be apprehended, no plea has been entered at this time.

Watch Live: Final hearing in Karen Read trial before closing arguments Friday

Jurors in the Karen Read trial have Thursday off while attorneys and Judge Beverly Cannone hold a final hearing in the trial. Closing arguments are scheduled to take place Friday, while deliberations will likely begin later in the day. You can watch Thursday's hearing live on CBS News Boston when it begins at 10 a.m. by clicking on the video player above. Jurors will be deciding Read's fate on charges of second-degree murder, manslaughter while operating under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of personal injury and death. Prosecutors say that after a night of heavy drinking, Read hit and killed her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O'Keefe, with her Lexus SUV and left him to die in the snow outside 34 Fairview Road in Canton. Read's attorneys say several people, including law enforcement, are trying to frame her. Karen Read final hearing Read's defense rested its case late Wednesday after Andrew Rentschler, a biomechanist from ARCCA, completed a second day of testimony and said he concluded O'Keefe was not hit by a vehicle. Rentschler was the 11th witness called by the defense after the defense called 38 people to testify. The prosecution was expected to call several rebuttal witnesses at the conclusion of Rentschler's testimony. Instead, once the defense rested, special prosecutor Hank Brennan said he would not be calling any more witnesses. A Thursday hearing without the jury present will establish instructions the jury will receive before they begin deliberations. "It's a lengthy process. Not only do you need the specific jury instructions for each charge – second degree murder, manslaughter while OUI, the leaving the scene – but you need the reasonable doubt, what is evidence? Defendant not testifying," WBZ-TV legal analyst Katherine Loftus said. "Volume, there's a lot of it. It takes a couple hours. And then they'll start deliberating by late morning or Friday afternoon." Read's first trial ended in a mistrial due to a "starkly divided" hung jury. In unsuccessful arguments that were rejected as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, Read's defense tried to have two charges thrown out because they said jurors revealed after the trial that they were unanimous to acquit her on charges of murder and leaving the scene. The jurors said they were only deadlocked on manslaughter. Those discussions were never revealed in open court before the mistrial was declared. Karen Read jury instructions Loftus said that because of some of the confusion from jurors during Read's first trial, she expects more focused instructions given to the jury this time. One topic likely to be discussed Thursday is the defense's request for a "missing witness instruction" for Brian Albert, Brian Higgins, and Michael Proctor. Albert owned the home at 34 Fairview Road at the time of O'Keefe's death, and Higgins was in the home on the night in question. Both have been repeatedly called alternate suspects in the death of O'Keefe by the defense. Proctor was fired by Massachusetts State Police for his conduct as a lead investigator in Read's case. None of the men were called by the prosecution to testify. The defense seeks a missing witness argument and jury instruction, which means the court "may instruct the jury that an adverse inference may be drawn from a party's failure to call a witness" under Massachusetts law. During Read's first trial, deliberations began on June 25. Jurors first signaled they were deadlocked on June 28, and a mistrial was declared on July 1.

Sithole was shot 12 times during an IFP branch launch in Katlehong, and Gauteng secretary Alco Ngobese and party member Sambulo Nxumalo were injured. Gauteng police have offered a R60 000 reward for information on a 'very dangerous' man who is wanted in connection with the murder of IFP MP Khethamabala Sithole. Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo said Zamani Ngila Ximba was also wanted for the attempted murder of party members Alco Ngobese and Sambulo Nxumalo. 'The suspect is tall, dark in complexion and deemed armed and very dangerous,' he added. Sithole was shot 12 times while attending the launch of an IFP branch at Buyafuthi hostel in Katlehong on 31 May. IFP Gauteng secretary, Ngobese, was wounded in his head and party member, Nxumalo, was shot in the abdomen. Last week, two other people made their first appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court in connection with the shooting. They face charges of murder, attempted murder and illegal possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. They are expected to appear again on Thursday. Anyone with information can contact Major General Mbuso Khumalo on 082 556 8642, Captain Abe Montoedi on 082 461 4794, call Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or use the My SAPS app. Khethamabala Sithole/Facebook News24 previously reported that IFP Gauteng chairperson Bonginkosi Dhlamini said the shooting was not politically motivated and that witnesses told them that the shooters targeted Sithole. 'To confirm that it was a hit on Sithole, after shooting him, the shooters left and returned to finish him off with more bullets. Their target was Sithole alone,' he said. In an interview with News24 last week, Ngobese said he was wounded and crawled to safety on his stomach. Later, he pretended to be dead.
