T2 - Tennessee 0, Arkansas 0
No score yet early in the hotly-anticipated matchup between defending national champion Tennessee and powerhouse SEC rival Arkansas. Both starters, the Volunteers' Marcus Phillips and the Razorbacks' Zach Root, handled business in the first inning.
B7 - Auburn 1, Coastal Carolina 1
Coastal Carolina has broken through! Walker Mitchell's RBI single plates Sebastian Alexander and we're tied late with the Chanticleers a win away from the Men's College World Series. Imagn Images
LSU and West Virginia both have seven hits. LSU leads 16-5 in the top of the seventh, thanks in large part to the 12 free bases (seven walks and five HBPs) issued by the Mountaineers' pitching staff. Ten of those 12 runners have scored. Courtesy of Tennessee Athletics
The defending champion Vols vs. the tournament favorite Razorbacks (or they should be anyway). They're up next at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN.
What a matchup.
T7 - LSU 16, West Virginia 5
LSU has its second grand slam of the day, this one from Josh Pearson, and this game is officially out of hand. It looked for a minute like the Mountaineers were going to try to mount a rally. The Tigers, however, put an end to that.
B5 - Auburn 1, Coastal Carolina
Down a game in the series after losing in extra innings last night, the Tigers are clinging to a one-run lead. Clinging indeed.
The Chanticleers loaded the bases with no outs in the fifth but couldn't get any runners home. Cade Fisher got a strikeout, a popout on the infield and another strikeout to end the inning, and the Tigers still lead. Courtesy of Arkansas Athletics
This is one of the most hyped Super Regionals matchups since the tournament introduced this format in 1999. Tennessee is the No. 14 overall seed but is clearly one of the most talented teams in the nation.
The Vols have been undone this year by poor defense at times and the inability to find the right pitching combination in Game 3s of their weekend series — they lost the third game in six of their final seven SEC series.
Arkansas' roster is elite, with great starting pitching, tons of options in the bullpen and an offense that led the SEC in runs scored (by 41!) in league games.
We won't get the Liam Doyle vs. Zach Root pitching matchup in Game 1 since the Vols are giving their ace an extra day of rest, but No. 2 starter Marcus Phillips is very capable of slowing down the Hogs offense.
One prediction I feel good about: There will be some fireworks at some point in this series.
Another prediction: Arkansas in 3 Imagn Images
The Blue Devils take down Murray State 7-4 in Game 1 of their series. The Blue Devils will clinch a trip to Omaha for the College World Series with a win on Sunday. That game is scheduled for noon. Imagn Images
B8 - Duke 7, Murray State 4
Murray State has outhit Duke 8-to-5 and has had a runner on base in all but one inning but trails Duke 7-4 in the bottom of the eighth. The Racers have left nine men on base.
B5 - LSU 7, West Virginia 1
The Tigers have used the long ball to take control of this one after trailing early. Steven Milam's grand slam has Alex Box Stadium ROCKING.
Drama in Chapel Hill. Arizona forces a Game 3 by defeating North Carolina 10-8 in Game 2 of the Chapel Hill Regional. The Wildcats surged ahead with four runs in the bottom of the seventh and then held on when ace reliever Tony Pluta — who threw a career-high 52 pitches — worked around a leadoff single in the top of the ninth to retire the next three Tar Heels. Imagn Images
We're going to have at least two Game 3s tomorrow. Arizona's comeback is complete as it holds off North Carolina 10-8. The two teams will play Game 3 tomorrow with the game time yet to be determined.
What a turnaround from yesterday's 10-8 whitewash.
Louisville and Miami are also headed for a Game 3.
T5 - LSU 3, West Virginia 1
The Tigers finally get their offense going with a three-run home run by Derek Curiel. LSU's offense has been spotty all season, but the Tigers needed that one to get some life into their stadium.
B6 - Duke 6, Murray State 2
Kyle Johnson does it again with a double in the sixth to score another run. Johnson has two doubles and a home run in three at-bats, and he has driven in five runs. What a day for a player who is only in the lineup because of a suspension.
He really has stepped up today for Duke. Imagn Images
B7 - Arizona 10, North Carolina 8
The Wildcats have answered the Tar Heels' four runs in the top of the seventh with four of their own in the bottom of the seventh, and the Wildcats are six outs from a Game 3 tomorrow.
Will the Heels respond again? This game is bonkers. Imagn Images
B7 - North Carolina 8, Arizona 8
And the Wildcats have shown that fight again as they've scored two runs in the seventh to tie the game up again. Have to mention again how impressed I am with the Wildcats' fight in Game 2 after being destroyed in Game 1.
Coastal Carolina and Auburn are up next at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The Chanticleers will book their trip to Omaha with a win after beating the Tigers in extra innings in Game 1 after a nearly two-hour weather delay. Imagn Images
B7 - North Carolina 8, Arizona 6
The Tar Heels are nine outs from Omaha, and now they have the lead again after scoring four runs in the top of the seventh inning. Arizona will have to show some more fight (which they've shown all day) to get this series to a Game 3.
B4 - Duke 4, Murray State 2
Kyle Johnson, again! The pitcher/outfielder smacked a two-run double with two outs in the bottom of the fourth to give Duke a 4-2 lead over Murray State. Johnson has Duke's only two hits and all four RBIs.

LSU bound for Omaha after sweeping super regional

SUNDAY'S GAME — LSU 12, West Virginia 5 LSU advances to the College World Series. Next stop, Omaha. Back where LSU always feels it belongs. There was the obligatory three-hour rain delay, of course, most of it under sunny skies, but another late, late night in Alex Box Stadium ended with a 12-5 victory over West Virginia and the customary victory lap around Skip Bertman Field to high-five with fans. It's LSU's favored path to the College World Series. Jake Brown and Steven Milam each had four RBIs as the Tigers scored double-digit runs in consecutive super regional games for the first time in their 17 appearances after beating the Mountaineers 16-9 on Saturday. For a few antsy moments, it looked like they might need all of them Sunday. But the Tigers answered a mid-inning WVU uprising with a 6-run seventh inning, capped by Brown's 2-run homer, and coasted home to sweep the two games. The Tigers took advantage of three Mountaineer errors in the big inning and loaded the bases with no outs on an error, a walk and hit batter before Chris Stanfield's 2-run single got it going. Derek Curiel later scored when Ethan Frey reached on a throwing error and Milam followed with an RBI double. Brown followed with a 2-run, 471-foot blast to dead centerfield. It will be LSU's 20th trip to the CWS, where the Tigers will be looking to add to their seven national championships, most recently two years ago. The Tigers, the No. 6 national seed, will face Arkansas, which swept its super regional against Tennessee, in their Omaha opener. The Tigers took two of three from the third-seeded Razorbacks in Baton Rouge during the regular season. The Tigers jumped all over WVU starter Jack Karsonas early and LSU's Anthony Eyanson (11-2) was dominant the first time through the Mountaineers' order. LSU led 6-0 after three and was cruising. The Tigers got a run on Brown's RBI ground out in the first inning and Milam had a 3-run double in the second, followed by back-to-back run-scoring singles by Brown and Jared Jones. But while reliever Chase Meyer shut the door on LSU for the next four innings, West Virginia got to Eyanson for three runs on pair of home runs in the fourth and added a run in the fifth to cut the lead to 6-4. Eyanson was lifted after hitting a batter on a 1-2 pitch to open the sixth. Freshman Cooper Williams came on and got three straight outs to end that inning and retired the first eight batters he faced before giving up a two-out solo home run in the eighth, followed by a walk. Chase Shores got the game's final four outs without allowing a baserunner.

Thunder strike back as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dominates Game 2 to even NBA Finals against Pacers

The Oklahoma City Thunder didn't blow a lead to the Indiana Pacers this time, as they evened up the series at one apiece after a strong Game 2 win, 123-107. Last game, it was Tyrese Haliburton showcasing another bit of heroics with a last-second shot to win it for Indiana on the road in Game 1. But Haliburton, or any of his teammates, could get back into this game as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander & Co. ran up the score and kept it that way. The league's MVP had the right answer for the Pacers' wild come-from-behind victory in Game 1, going 11-of-21 from the floor and 11-of-12 from the charity stripe for a 34-point night to lead the game in that category. Gilgeous-Alexander also tallied eight assists, five rebounds, four steals and one block as he truly did it all on the court. The deep Thunder bench also provided some much-needed offense, as Alex Caruso had the hot hand from three-point range, hitting four of his eight attempts on his way to a 20-point night. Aaron Wiggins also added 18 points on an efficient 6-of-11 shooting with four rebounds to mark as well. In the starting five, Jalen Williams (19 points, five rebounds, five assists) and Chet Holmgren (15 points, six rebounds, one assist) also aided in the victory. Meanwhile, the Pacers struggled shooting from deep in this game, going 14-of-40 as a team (35%), which ultimately led to Oklahoma City pulling away in this one. Every Indiana starter had double-digit points, as the ball was spread around as it usually is in their offensive zone. Haliburton went 7-of-13 from the field for 17 points, but he was just 3-of-8 from beyond the arc. Myles Turner (16 points), Pascal Siakam (15 points, seven rebounds) and Andrew Nembhard (11 points) went a combined 3-of-13 from three-point territory, which has been uncharacteristic of them in these NBA Playoffs. The Thunder's largest lead in this game was 23, while the Pacers only led by three points during the contest. Of course, Indiana led by just 0.3 seconds last game after Haliburton's mid-range jumper rattled home. But on their home court, this is what many expected as the series heads back to Indiana on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. tip-off.
