French President Emmanuel Macron claims Trump made offer for Israel-Iran ceasefire: ‘Very good thing'
French President Emmanuel Macron claimed Monday that President Trump had proposed a cease-fire to Iran and Israel in an effort to end the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
'If the United States can achieve a cease-fire, that's a very good thing,' Macron told reporters at a G7 summit in Canada, around the time the White House announced that Trump would be leaving the meeting of world leaders early because of the boiling tensions between Iran and Israel.

'There is indeed an offer to meet and exchange. An offer was made especially to get a cease-fire and to then kick-start broader discussions,' the French president added. 'We have to see now whether the sides will follow.'
Macron's comments come as Trump warned that 'Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran,' and reports indicate that the president will give the Iranian regime one last chance to sign off on a deal that seeks to prevent it from enriching uranium needed for a nuclear weapon.
