Texas Pete Issues Immediate Recall On Popular Hot Sauce Flavors—Here's What to Know
The recalls have been stacking up this month, with Texas Pete entering the fold with a recall on a number of its bottled hot sauces. The news comes just weeks after Hot Ones found itself in a similar boat, as well as Coca-Cola, Target and many more.
According to an April 3 announcement, T.W. Garner Food Company is recalling select lots and sizes of Texas Pete Habanero Buffalo Sauce. The announcement claims that the bottles in question could potentially contain Sriracha Sauce, which in itself contains sulfites, of which are not listed on the label. The cause for concern here lies with those who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to sulfites, as these folks run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction so should they consume the recalled products.

The recalled products were shipped to distribution centers and retails stores in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia and Vermont.
The official recall announcement notes that the firm discovered the issue during an internal quality testing of the products. Thankfully, no illnesses have been reported thus far in relation to the mislabeling event.
Those who purchased any of the above listed products should either dispose of them entirely or return to their place of purchase for a full refund.
