AMC Networks price target lowered to $6 from $8 at JPMorgan

JPMorgan analyst David Karnovsky lowered the firm's price target on AMC Networks (AMCX) to $6 from $8 and keeps an Underweight rating on the shares. The firm reduced estimates following the company's Q1 report. It sees limited room for a stock re-rating amid continued pressure to AMC's core revenue streams.

Any near-term weakness in S&P 500 would provide a 'buy the dip' opportunity: JPM

-- JPMorgan analysts said in a note Wednesday that while the recent equity market rebound has lost momentum, any short-term pullback in large-cap stocks should be viewed as a 'buy the dip' opportunity. 'Equity rebounds have either decelerated or stalled since mid-May,' JPMorgan wrote. 'The associated signals increase the probability for corrective price action over the near term.' However, the bank's analysts maintained a bullish stance on large caps, citing strong medium-term trend dynamics. 'That bullish medium-term outlook stays in gear provided the S&P 500 Index holds above key levels in the 5600s,' stated JPMorgan. The bank added that large-cap leadership remains intact and that 'we suspect any near-term weakness in large-cap equities will provide a 'buy the dip' opportunity ahead of a potential test of the cycle highs at some point this summer.' JPMorgan also flagged signs of exhaustion in more cyclical parts of the market, noting that the Russell 2000, Materials, and Energy sectors have stalled near key resistance. 'Commodity price action reinforces the signaling for those two sectors,' the firm added, highlighting DuPont (NYSE:DD) and EOG Resources (NYSE:EOG) as examples of weaker setups within those groups. Conversely, JPMorgan pointed to healthcare as a potential bright spot if broader markets weaken. 'We also see the beaten up Healthcare sector as an interesting long opportunity,' analysts wrote, citing recent buy signals and proximity to support levels. Bristol Myers (NYSE:BMY) Squibb was noted as a stock with an 'attractive setup and chart pattern.' 3D Systems collaborates with Penn State, ASU researchers on NASA projects

3D Systems (DDD) is collaborating with researchers from Penn State University and Arizona State University on two projects sponsored by the National Aeronautics & Space Administration intended to enable ground-breaking alternatives to current thermal management solutions. Severe temperature fluctuations in space can damage sensitive spacecraft components, resulting in mission failure. By combining deep applications expertise with 3D Systems' leading additive manufacturing solutions comprising Direct Metal Printing technology and tailored materials and Oqton's 3DXpert software, the teams are engineering sophisticated thermal management solutions for the demands of next-generation satellites and space exploration. The project led by researchers with Penn State University, Arizona State University, and the NASA Glenn Research Center1 in collaboration with 3D Systems' Application Innovation Group has resulted in processes to build embedded high-temperature passive heat pipes in heat rejection radiators that are additively manufactured in titanium. These heat pipe radiators are 50% lighter per area with increased operating temperatures compared with current state-of-the-art radiators, allowing them to radiate heat more efficiently for high power systems. Additionally, a project led by researchers at Penn State University and NASA Glenn Research Center with 3D Systems' AIG yielded a process to additively manufacture one of the first functional parts using nickel titanium shape memory alloys that can be passively actuated and deployed when heated. This passive shape memory alloy radiator is projected to yield a deployed-to-stowed area ratio that is 6x larger than currently available solutions, enabling future high-power communications and science missions in restricted CubeSat volume. When deployed on spacecraft, such as satellites, these radiators can raise operating power levels and reduce thermal stress on sensitive components, preventing failures and prolonging satellite lifespan. 60 Degrees announces results from an insurance claims analysis on babesiosis

60 Degrees Pharmaceuticals (SXTP) announced results of an insurance claims analysis related to babesiosis and chronic fatigue, as conducted by Komodo Health. Results showed approximately 25,000 Americans seek reimbursement for babesiosis-related medical costs each year, according to 60 Degrees Pharmaceuticals. In contrast, current estimates published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show only 2,000 cases in 2020. Babesia infections last at least 12 months in 14 percent of patients and may relapse up to 27 months later, as documented in the scientific literature. Many physicians treating tick-borne infections speculate the true duration of infection may be much longer. The claims data indicated approximately 31 percent of babesiosis cases persist longer than 30 days, and that nearly half of those are associated with chronic fatigue lasting longer than six months. Fatigue is the last symptom of babesiosis to resolve in acute disease. Chronic fatigue during babesiosis has not been systematically described in the literature. Further, the claims data, which captured approximately 40 percent of U.S. diagnostic data, showed that over three years, more than 12 million U.S. adults experienced chronic fatigue greater than six months in duration. Current Infectious Diseases Society of America advice and other professional guidelines do not mandate babesiosis as a differential diagnosis if a patient self-reports experiencing such fatigue. The Company is testing, through its clinical development program, the medical hypothesis that the true burden of babesiosis is much larger than claims data suggest and is a function of the incidence of chronic fatigue lasting six months or longer, multiplied by the proportion of such individuals with confirmable infections. A molecular incidence study in patients with chronic fatigue commissioned by the Company was recently completed. Once published, the data will allow establishment of a ceiling on the incidence of persistent babesiosis.
