Goa CM launches 'Spot the Scam' and 'Radical Content Analyser' AI tools to enhance cyber vigilance

Panaji (Goa) [India], June 10 (ANI): Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday launched two advanced AI-based tools, 'Spot the Scam' and 'Radical Content Analyser', aimed at enhancing cyber vigilance and digital safety.
'Radical Content Analyser' is an AI-powered tool that analyses videos to detect radical or extremist content. The other tool, 'Spot The Scam, ' analyses websites and APK files to detect scams and security threats.
The Goa Police developed both of these AI tools in collaboration with BITS Pilani, Goa Campus.
'Launched the 'Radical Content Aanlyzer' an AI Powered tool to analyse videos to detect radical or extremist content, and 'Spot The Scam' an AI based tool to analyse websites and APK files to detect scams and security threats, developed by Goa Police, BITS Pilani, KK Birla Goa Campus in the presence of DGP Goa IGP, DIG, Director BITS Pilani and others. Heartiest congratulations to the Students who have worked to develop these AI-based systems. These tools shall enable the Police for Smart Policing in the state,' Pramod Sawant wrote on a social media post on X.
Speaking with ANI, DGP Goa, Alok Kumar, commended the launch of both AI tools, adding that the 'Spot the Scam' AI tool will help people protect themselves from online scams.
'Honourable Chief Minister of Goa has launched two very important initiatives of the Goa Police. The first Initiative Spot is the Scam, which is available on the Goa Police website. We often hear this, and it is reported that if you want to go on some kind of travel vacation, and you go to any website, many times this happens to you that the website is not genuine, it is fake, and you pay some advance amount there and then after that. It turns out that the phone number you contacted gets discontinued, and the Goa Police have exposed many such fraud rackets,' DGP Alok Kumar said.
DGP informed that the tool is available on the website of Goa Police and can be used to authorise the websites before making payments.
'This tool is available on the Goa Police website. Citizens of India or citizens of other countries, if they want to make any kind of transaction on any website, they want to take any action through any website, whether it is booking a hotel or making investment decisions. If you want to do anything, then they use this tool,' DGP Alok Kumar said.
Regarding the 'Radical Content Analyser' AI tools, DGP said that this tool will help identify content with a 'jihadist element' or 'religious fundamentalism.'
'The radical content which is available on the internet often. If we check the manual, it takes a lot of time. Therefore, with the help of this tool, we can see in a very short time whether there is a jihadist element in this content. There is no talk of any kind of religious fundamentalism, whether there is talk of any kind of mob violence or aggression and all this.' DGP said.
The Radical Content Analyser is only available to the Law Enforcement Agency. (ANI)

KRITI will expand BITS Pilani's engagement in the social impact sphere, building upon the legacy of successful alumni-led initiatives such as Sattva, Nirmaan, Thinkerbell Labs, and Ashoka Changemakers. By harnessing the creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit of BITS students and alumni, the Centre will develop sustainable and scalable solutions to pressing rural and social challenges.'The establishment of KRITI marks a pivotal moment in BITS Pilani's journey,' stated Prof. Ramgopal Rao, Vice Chancellor, BITS reinforces our unwavering commitment not only to academic excellence but also to nurturing socially responsible innovators who can transform the future of rural India. New Delhi [India], June 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday hailed India's digital and technological progress stating that the country is making remarkable progress in innovation and application of technology. The Prime Minister highlighted that that the digital progress is also strengthening country's efforts towards becoming self reliant in the technology sector. Taking to his X social media platform PM Modi shared a post by MyGovIndia, which talks about how India could become the next technology powerhouse of the world and the steps taken by the Union Government in the past 11 years in the sector. 'Powered by the youth of India, we are making remarkable progress in innovation and application of technology. It is also strengthening our efforts to become self-reliant and a global tech powerhouse', PM Modi said. India has recorded a surge of 2500 times in the volume of UPI transaction with data showing that UPI transaction which was at 0.93 crore in April 2017 increased to 1867.70 crore until April 2025. India is also leading the digital payment revolution wherein more than Rs 260 lakh crore transactions have been processed with Rs 18,600 crore transactions annually. UPI's acceptance in the world has also increased and it is live in seven countries including UAE, Singapore, Nepal, France, Mauritius, Bhutan and Sri Lanka. India also stands as world's cheapest mobile data providers with more than 94 crore broadband connections and more than 120 crore telephone subscribers. A total of 2.18 lakh gram panchayats have been connected through optical fiber network under the Bharat Net scheme and 6.92 lakh km of fiber cable has been laid. The Union Government has also showcased interest in Artificial Intelligence with three AI Centres of Excellence to be setup in top educational institutions. India is also working over the development of AI models such as BharatGen, Sarvam-1, Chitralekha and Hanooman's Everest 1.0. On june 10, Prime Minister Modi shared an article on the government's commitment in advancing India's digital connectivity over the past 11 years. Sharing an article by Union Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia, PM Modi said, 'Our government has been constantly striving to provide world-class facilities in digital connectivity to the country. In his article, Union Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia has explained in detail how the success achieved in this in the last 11 years is inspiring us to move forward even faster in this direction.' In his article, Scindia elaborated on how villages have started telling the story of digital revolution. Scindia said on X, 'In the last 11 years, the historic decisions taken in the telecom sector and the Postal Department, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji, have given rise to a digital revolution, connecting not only cities, but also villages, forests and borders.' New Delhi [India], June 12 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday highlighted the achievements of the central government's digital initiatives and said that India has emerged as a leading digital economy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 11 years of governance. The Home Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed every sector of the economy and society through the digital revolution. 'The Modi government democratised the use of technology and harnessed its power for the business sector, making Bharat a leading digital economy in the world in the 11 years of Digital India. Whether it is healthcare, education, trade, or commerce, PM Narendra Modi has transformed every sector of the economy and society through the digital revolution,' posted Shah on X. Earlier on Tuesday, Amit Shah expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Union Cabinet approved the two multitracking projects across Indian Railways covering seven Districts in Jharkhand, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. In a post on X, Shah said that the projects will 'turbocharge' the growth journey of these states. 'Gratitude to PM @narendramodi Ji for approving the project of multi-tracking of railways in 7 districts across Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. The projects will turbocharge the growth journey of these states, speeding up the prosperity of businesses and individuals and creating ample employment opportunities for the youth,' Amit Shah said. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday, approved two projects of the Ministry of Railways worth Rs 6,405 crore, with the aim to improve travel convenience, reduce logistic cost, decrease oil imports and contribute to lower CO2 emissions. The two projects covering seven Districts across the states of Jharkhand, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh will increase the existing network of Indian Railways by about 318 km. The approved multi-tracking project will enhance connectivity to approximately. 1,408 villages, which have a population of about 28.19 lakh. (ANI)
