Watch: Barcelona star furiously lashes out on bench after not being brought on vs Celta Vigo
An out-of-favour member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona could not hide his disappointment, after being left on the bench for the duration of the club's latest outing on Saturday.
The player in question? Ansu Fati.

Barcelona were of course back in action earlier today, welcoming the aforementioned Celta to Catalunya's capital for a league clash.
When all was said and done, despite at one point having trailed by three goals to one, the Blaugrana emerged triumphant, owing to an explosive 2nd-half comeback.
Forced to watch on from the sideline as his teammates took another step towards La Liga glory, though, was the aforementioned Ansu Fati.
Wide-man Ansu was sent out to warm up during the 2nd-half at Montjuïc on Saturday, evidently keen to contribute towards the hosts' comeback efforts.
In the end, however, he was not called upon by boss Hansi Flick to take to the pitch.

And the 22-year-old, as showcased below, made crystal clear his feelings with as much, by way of a furious response on the bench:

Karl-Anthony Towns' message for Ricky Rubio after guard's cryptic post

The post Karl-Anthony Towns' message for Ricky Rubio after guard's cryptic post appeared first on ClutchPoints. Last season, Ricky Rubio stepped away from basketball and said that his NBA career would be over after 12 seasons as he addressed his mental health issues. He then returned to action with Barcelona in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and with the Spanish national team in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers. Since then, he had been pretty much quiet on social media, but he recently shared a cryptic message about his career. Advertisement 'I took this year to reflect on my career and my life, and I've realized that if I've gotten to where I am today, it's not because of the assists I've given, but because of the assists I've received,' Rubio wrote on X, formerly Twitter. 'This isn't a goodbye, it's a thank you to all the people who have helped me along the way.' This message led many people to probably think that Rubio was done playing for good, and it caught Karl-Anthony Towns off guard because he had a message for him on Instagram. 'Incredible journey [Ricky Rubio] Enjoy this next chapter,' Towns wrote on his story. Towns and Rubio played with each other on the Minnesota Timberwolves back in the day. Is Ricky Rubio retiring? Though Rubio posted that initial message of thanking everybody in his career, he circled back and gave clarity on what he was trying to say. Advertisement 'This is something I'd like to make clear. This isn't a farewell,' Rubio said. 'It's simply a thank you. It comes from my year of reflection, and I wanted to do something that's rarely done: to thank those who have been or are important to you. But it has no other message. 'I don't know yet what will happen with my career. That should be the next thing to think about. This is something that came to mind now, and I want to convey it now that I'm back professionally, although I'm forced to stop due to health issues.' Rubio returned to European basketball in 2024 for the first time since 2011, as he joined Barcelona in February to focus on his mental health. He parted ways with the club at the end of the season. During the 2023–24 season, he averaged 17 minutes, 4.7 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.2 rebounds. With his clarifying message, it looks like Rubio is not sending his farewells and is leaving the door open. Advertisement 'I might play again – why not? – or I might not, and that wouldn't be a bad idea either. It's something I'd like to consider in the near future,' Rubio said. Barcelona chief ‘already openly talking' about signing of Atlético Madrid star

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has already begun openly discussing his plan to bring in a leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga rivals Atlético Madrid next summer. That's according to Carrusel Deportivo of Cadena SER, who point towards Julián Alvarez as the player in question. Advertisement The name of frontman Alvarez has of course proven an increasingly prominent one in the headlines in Catalunya's capital over recent weeks. This comes amid mounting speculation that Barcelona have earmarked the Argentine as a leading future transfer target. Ahead of the expiration of Robert Lewandowski's contract in the summer of 2026, Deco and co. have already kicked into gear a search for the Pole's long-term replacement. And according to several sources, at the very top of the wishlist at the Camp Nou is the aforementioned Alvarez. So much so that Joan Laporta, it is claimed, has already begun pushing the former Manchester City's name in internal discussions. Advertisement As per a report from Carrusel Deportivo: '(Journalist) Sique Rodríguez says that Laporta is already openly talking about Julián Alvarez for Barça. The idea is to sign him next year when Lewandowski leaves the club.' Conor Laird – GSFN

Leaked: Barcelona's away kit for next season

Leaked: Barcelona's away kit for next season Images of the kit expected to be made use of by La Liga giants Barcelona in fixtures on the road next season have on Monday surfaced online. And they back previous reports, in confirming that Nike are planning a new look for Hansi Flick's troops for 2025/26. Advertisement This past season, Barcelona's away jersey was a black colour, featuring red and blue details. Next time out, though, the Blaugrana will line out away from home sporting an altogether contrasting colour. A 'yellow-gold' tone, which appears on first viewing as almost beige, will dominate the colour scheme across the shirt's base. From here, black and blue/purple designs will also be present, as showcased in the images below: The reliable Footy Headlines have provided a further breakdown of the kit's design, as follows: 'The Nike Mamba FC Barcelona 25-26 away kit features a light yellow-gold color with black and purple accents, incorporating a design inspired by the NBA Lakers jersey and a subtle snake pattern on the Barça crest.' Advertisement Barca's away kit for 2025/26 comes as the latest addition to the 'Mamba' range, part of a collaboration with the late Kobe Bryant's personal brand. Conor Laird – GSFN
