Osbourne announced that he had been had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease back in 2020, but his official diagnosis came earlier, in February 2019, so he waited a while to break the news to the public.
Now, Osbourne is gearing up for his final show with Black Sabbath and his solo band at "Back to the Beginning," set for July 5 at Villa Park. The star-studded event will honor Black Sabbath with one final set, as well as bring performances from Metallica, Mastodon, Tool, Slayer, Gojira and a slew of heavy metal acts.
In a new episode of "Ozzy Speaks" on Ozzy's Boneyard SiriusXM channel, the metal great talked about how he's getting ready for his final gig. He added that getting ready for his final show takes "endurance" and that "the first thing that goes when you're laid up is your stamina."
Then, Osbourne actually said he's been having his blood pressure taken 15 times a day to see "how my heart rate is."
He also gave an emotional update about his mental leading up to the final show.
"My head's crazy. ADHD – I have that badly," he said. "I will have done the show and died a death before I even started my exercises. So I try and put it on the back burner. I'm not going up there saying, 'It's going to be great. I'm really confident.' ... But all I can say is I'm giving 120 percent. If my God wants me to do the show, I'll do it."Ozzy Osbourne Gives Update About His ADHD, Mental Health Ahead of Final Show first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 1, 2025

Tony Iommi Charts His First Solo Top 40 Hit Thanks To An Unlikely Feature

Tony Iommi joins Robbie Williams on 'Rocket,' earning his first solo top 40 hit in the United ... More Kingdom on multiple sales charts. Guitarist Tony Iommi is shown performing on stage during a live concert appearance with Black Sabbath on August 8, 2013. (Photo by)"n Tony Iommi is regarded as a god in the rock world, and has been for decades. He first rose to prominence as one of the founding members of Black Sabbath and, for years, he helped bring heavy metal to the masses with his signature guitar sound. While he's primarily known for his work with that group, Iommi does occasionally release music under his own name. The superstar scores a hit song in his home country of the United Kingdom this week by teaming up with a somewhat surprising figure. Iommi earns a top 40 hit on both the Official Singles Downloads and Official Singles Sales charts this frame. He joins Robbie Williams on the track "Rocket," which opens at Nos. 34 and 36, respectively, on those tallies, becoming a top 40 bestseller in the nation. It appears that "Rocket" is Iommi's first solo hit on both of those rankings. As a member of Black Sabbath, he's only reached the lists once, as "Paranoid" spent one frame on the rosters in August 2022. Of course, it's worth mentioning that these tallies didn't exist during the heyday of the heavy metal act. Iommi has landed more than one solo placement on the Official Rock & Metal Albums roster with his solo collections, but those titles didn't produce any hit songs across the Atlantic. "Rocket" serves as the lead single from Williams's upcoming album Britpop. It's interesting that the first taste of a full-length named after a style of pop music from the U.K. wouldn't typically be classified under that genre, and would feature one of the most recognizable figures in metal — but that's Williams, playing another one of his jokes. While Iommi may be new to these rankings, Williams has already scored a number of hits. The pop icon has racked up a dozen smashes on the Official Singles Sales chart and well over two dozen on the Official Singles Downloads list. A top 40 start is impressive for Iommi but rather low for Williams, one of the most successful pop stars in U.K. history. The tune doesn't reach the main list of the most consumed songs — the Official Singles chart — at least not yet, which is a bit disappointing.

Queen Claims Multiple Top 10 Hits With Decades-Old Classics

Queen lands two top 10 hits on the U.K.'s Rock & Metal Singles chart with "Don't Stop Me Now" and ... More "Bohemian Rhapsody," and the band claims four smashes at once. UNSPECIFIED - FEBRUARY 01: Photo of Freddie MERCURY and QUEEN; Freddie Mercury performing live on stage (Photo by Fin Costello/Redferns) Queen is a band that's known for so many things – unique songwriting, incredible showmanship, and of course, frontman Freddie Mercury's unmatchable charisma – but after all the years that have passed, it's the countless iconic rock anthems that have stuck in millions of minds, hearts, and ears. These tunes continue to power several compilations from the group, which rarely vanish from the charts in the Western world. The constant streaming and buying of a handful of especially huge tracks is enough to ensure that Queen's music is always present, and sometimes, the cuts themselves can appear as well. The band performs the best in the United Kingdom, where the rockers got their start, and where they are still regarded as superheroes to this day. This week, Queen scores multiple top 10 hits on one specific tally – an achievement no other rock act can currently match. The band occupies two spots inside the highest tier of the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart, the U.K.'s ranking of the top-selling tracks in those genres. No other name manages more than one win in the space at the moment, and Queen shares the region with stars like Disturbed, AC/DC, Metallica and Bon Jovi, among others. "Don't Stop Me Now" climbs one space to No. 4, while "Bohemian Rhapsody" returns to the top 10 this frame, jumping from No. 12 to No. 9. Both "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" are counted among Queen's five No. 1 hits on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart, and they remain the longest-running of the bunch. The band's other three champions — "Let Me Live," "C-lebrity" with Paul Rodgers, and "Thank God It's Christmas" — have each spent just one frame in the top spot. In total, Queen fills 10% of the available spaces on the 40-spot Official Rock & Metal Singles chart. "Another One Bites the Dust" bolts from No. 26 to No. 18. Next week, it will hit 550 frames on the tally. Simultaneously, "We Will Rock You" returns to the list, breaking back in at No. 37. That track recently passed 700 weeks on this ranking, while both "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" have already pushed past the 800-frame milestone — and will likely reach 900 in the coming months.

Teacher, poet, and entrepreneur: Who was slain hostage Judith Weinstein Haggai?

Judy was volunteering on the kibbutz when she heard Gadi playing the flute and fell in love, the kibbutz said. The body of hostage Judith Weinstein Haggai, a 70-year-old member of Kibbutz Nir Oz, was returned to Israel early Thursday morning, the IDF announced. She and her husband, Gadi Haggai, were killed on October 7, 2023, and their bodies were taken to Gaza. Judy was 70 years old, a mother of four, and a grandmother of seven. She was an English teacher specializing in children with special needs, and she worked with children with anxiety by using meditation and mindfulness methods. She was a poet and entrepreneur, and was dedicated to working for peace and brotherhood, her kibbutz said. "Judi Weinstein Haggai had a habit of writing haiku every morning - a poem of one or two sentences - and posting it on Facebook," Kibbutz Nir Oz said on Instagram. "The last one she wrote was on October 7th. The poems she wrote over the years were published in poetry books." 'We welcome the closure that we have been granted and the return for burial of our loved ones, who went out for a walk on that Black Sabbath morning and never came back," the Weinstein Haggai family said Thursday. Nir Oz thanked the IDF and security forces who carried out the complex rescue operation. They also thanked "everyone who supported, struggled, prayed, and fought for us and for all of Israel," as well as the FBI, and the US and Israeli governments. "However, our hearts will not be whole until all 12 hostages from Nir Oz and all 56 hostages in total are brought back," the statement concluded. Judy and Gadi were the "power couple of Kibbutz Nir Oz." Judy was volunteering on the kibbutz when she heard Gadi playing the flute and fell in love, the kibbutz said. "They complete each other: he's a goofball, just like a little kid, always dancing and laughing, while Judy is an English teacher, taking care of children, and sharing meditation and mindfulness techniques," the kibbutz said. Haggai and his wife had been out walking early on October 7 when Hamas terrorists attacked them according to the Hostage Family Forum. Their daughter, Iris, heard in a phone call that they were hiding and that her father was injured and later lost contact with them. The terrorists kidnapped both of them and took them to Gaza.
